Angela.Tremaine "I should say that was fairly obvious," Angela retorted. She had been considering what to do with the kittens when a strange kid popped up out of no where and began stating the obvious. "I may be blonde but I am actually capable of simple observation. Though if you've any other obvious questions to ask, feel free---curious about the color of the sky perhaps?"
She sighed. She shouldn't snap at strangers but she was already annoyed that someone would just dump kittens in the middle of nowhere like this. She looked at the girl again. "Actually I'm new in the city and don't know where everything is yet--is there a shelter or somewhere we can take them?"
If it had been just one, she might be able to sneak it into her dorm, but she doubted she could keep all three of them hidden. "Maybe there are some others I could convince to take one...but Kamil and Professor Volce are the only people I know..." And she doubted a merman would know anything about caring for a cat. And the professor didn't seem the sort to be easily talked into breaking the rules, even assuming he was a cat person to begin with.

"Oh darn! He's going out into the streets! We just might lose the darn guy!" Suzanne cried out as she wheeled Annalie into the streets and out of the tea house. Since she was running, she was starting to catch up, but she would have to slow down soon because of all the people.
"Annalie! It's all up to you! Catch him!" Suzanne shoved the wheelchair with all her might and sent it racing after the guy. If Suzanne's calculations were correct, the wheelchair would stumble over that random bump on the sidewalk and send Annalie flying right into the guy. Usually Suzanne was right about these kinds of things. Suzanne's sleeve went up to cover her smile, wondering what kind of reaction the guy would have when getting attacked by Annalie.
((Suzanne's the type that likes to react on impulse. =w=" It's dangerous to be around her sometimes))

Angela.Tremaine "Wait a bloody minute," Angela said, setting one hand on the box as Vivian picked it up. "First of all--are you also a student at the school? You can't jsut try to hide three kittens in the dorm without being caught. Let me take one. Also, I hope you're not planning on just setting them free. Better off in the wild? Are you serious? They're domestic cats, not wild animals. Have you any idea what sort of lives strays live? They're always hungry and if they're not killed by some angry resident who is all pissy because they've gotten in the rubbish bins, then they're hit by cars and attacked by dogs. Not to mention when the city does sweeps to round up the ferals and euthanize them."
"You can't honestly be thinking to nurse them back to health, then release them! That's practically a death sentence. Honestly! At the very least you'd need to have them all fixed so there wouldn't be any more stray kittens to deal with in the future."
Geez. People were so irresponsible. Who was this brat anyway?"((No worries. I have a major headache, so I'm slow to reply anyway.))

”When the world says, ‘Give up,’
Wait. Wait. Wait. What?!
Whipping her head back, Annalie was about to question Suzanne by what she had meant by it being "up to her" to stop him when all of a sudden, she was zooming down the street. "Fins." That's what she meant. There was no way to stop this metal contraption unless she seriously wanted to damage her fingers and risk wheelburn, so she just hoped to Poseidon that she could get a soft cushion as she suddenly went flying off, arms out to try to soften the landing.
Hope whispers, ‘Try it one more time.’” - Anonymous

Severin Novaire ________________________Severin was close to escaping. He just needed to get into the crowd. He heard the sound of rolling wheels behind him. Wait a moment-- that was just way to fast. Could that girl have--
Severin spun around to confirm what happened. That girl really did send her friend rolling after him. The girl in the wheelchair flew out of her seat, her arms outstretched as a moment of horror passed through her face. No matter how much he hated women, he wasn't the type to just leave this person to face plant on the ground.
Severin managed to catch the girl from the air, but he fell backwards and ended up just cushioning her fall. Severin's back hurt from the collision. He sat up, ignoring the eyes that stared at them. He turned to the girl with the glasses, forgetting to be polite.
"What the hell are you doing!? What if I didn't catch her, you dimwit!?" Severin snapped angrily. ________________________

Angela.Tremaine Angela grimaced. Great. A teacher, of all people. She let out an exasperated sigh. "Well, far be it from a student to tell a teacher what to do but just because life is hardship doesn't mean the stronger, more intelligent shouldn't care for the weaker, less intelligent. Humans learn from hardship, animals do not. There's no reason to force a life of hardship on them when it isn't necessary. That is the sort of rubbish people spout in order to defend their own apathy. At least in my experience."
"I'm aware that cats are resourceful. And I have seen the most resourceful felines fall prey to starvation, dehydration, cold, and angry humans. On top of that, rather than adding to the problem of feral cats in the area, we should find good homes for them--where they will be off the streets."
"It's not like like has to be hardship just to meet your bizarre standard." She took the box away from Vivian. "I'll care for them myself. I didn't ask your help anyway."

*.~*¨¯¨*•~.Vivian Sinclair.~•*¨¯¨*~.* So it was apathy. Was it really better to live a pampered life? Vivian couldn't tell. She always thought a pampered life was simply naivety. Vivian's life was similar to a stray then. She herself has experienced starvation, dehydration, cold, and even angry humans that hated witches. But perhaps it was her immortality that gave her an unfair advantage. And her loneliness drove her to believe that these cats were similar to her.
"Ah, so you're going to attempt to hide three kittens in the dorm without being caught. You were skeptical about the idea yourself and frankly, I think it's impossible." Vivian remarked, letting the student take the box from her. "You're sending them to die in your own way when you're caught and they will be cast out to who knows where."
"I will take those kittens and I will tell the headmistress that they are my familiars. They will probably have to stay in my dorm or in my classroom. But that is where I will draw the line. I will house them, but you can take care of them."
"Since you're right. It's probably apathy and my ideals have become twisted in my years of living. I wouldn't know how to care for anything with love even if my life depended on it. But right, now let's stop discussing this. They must be fed right away. I have some money on me, let's buy them food already."
She probably would disagree, but Vivian still thought it was too quiet in her classroom. She generally hated noise, but she didn't mind the soft purring of kittens. Before the student could move the box out of her reach, Vivian picked up one of the kittens and was heading for a store. That way, the student would be forced to follow her.

Okay... so maybe her calculations were a bit off. But at least Annalie was safe. Suzanne, not wanting to walk through the people, slid down into the shadows and then appeared right beside them. She grinned as the wheelchair arose from the shadows and appeared beside Annalie and the guy. "But you caught her! All's well that ends well or something like that. Wasn't that exciting, Annalie? Flying through the air must have been fun. I'm kind of envious."
At least the composure of the guy was broken. Now they were seeing his true self and his frustration was entirely amusing. "Now back to our order of business. We just wanted to apologize for the cockroach back at the tea house."

”When the world says, ‘Give up,’
There was pain, but she's had worse. No, it was nothing compared to the man she had fallen on top of; she felt bad for her squishy cushion because that was quite a tumble the man had experienced. Not to mention, her poor heart was hammering away from fear. Walking was one thing, but flying!? Never ever again.
Maybe she should try doing that to Suzanne someday and see how she'd like to suddenly see her life flash before her eyes. Then again, Annalie wasn't the type for revenge. Forgive and forget was her motto, but at the moment, forgiving wasn't on the top of her list. "I won't comment about that, but sir, I... apologise for everything, especially for my and my friend's actions. I also must thank you for choosing to catch me when you were free to let me land. Now if you can excuse me, I need to head back to my chair."
Okay, Annalie just needed some time to cool off. That's all. Picking herself off the man, she steadily dragged herself over to wheelchair. Literally. It was a good thing that she had a spare change of clothes in her bag of wonders.

Angela.Tremaine "Bloody hell," Angela muttered, trotting after the girl...er...woman...person....thing. It was a little difficult to trot and not jostle the kittens too much, though. "I already knew I wouldn't be able to hide them for long--but surely long enough that I could nurse them back to health and find permanent homes for them. I may just be a lowly student, but I'm not that short sighted. Honestly."
She frowned, studying the girl. It wasn't like she'd ever encountered someone who was far older than the looked, but it was still odd to see a child with that level of indifference. Her eyes had almost no spark to them at all. Angela had seen Fae like that before--those who'd lived so long they had forgotten, well, how to live. They existed. But they took very little joy from the things around them. It was sad, but it was also frightening to think she might come like that when she'd been around that long.
"I suppose that I can accept your compromise. For as long as it takes to find people who can take them off your hands. And I have money as well, so you don't have to buy food for them. Or at least, I can go halves with you, Professor Sinclair, was it?"

Severin Novaire ________________________Severin couldn't believe what he was hearing. They chased him all the way out here, practically threw a Naiad at him... just to apologize about a cockroach!? He would have been more forgiving if they had just left him alone. He didn't need an apology. Severin got off from the ground, feeling a throbbing on his back. He hasn't felt that pain since high school when he used to be a delinquent.
It was too late for Severin to return to his polite countenance now. He had already yelled at them and they probably were aware of his true personality. At least the Naiad was apologetic, but perhaps she was more apologetic about going along with the dimwit and getting herself thrown at him. The dimwit had her sleeve over her mouth, but he could see the amused twinkle in her eyes.
"If I don't accept your apology, you'd probably keep stalking me. Well, I accept it. Just don't do stupid things like that anymore." Severin snapped, adjusting his glasses. He was glad his glasses didn't fall off or he wouldn't be able to see anything.
This is why women were so troublesome. ________________________

Suzanne could sense immense irritation coming from the man. Well, she didn't need to sense it. It could be seen on his face. Right now, he probably just wanted them to leave.
Suzanne glanced at Annalie and realize that her face was kind of pale. Perhaps the flight wasn't such a good idea. "Whoops. I always wanted to fly so I figured you might want to try experiencing it. Sorry about that, Annalie."
Suzanne also realized that she forgot why they bothered to apologize to the man. She turned back to the man. "You speak to us as if we're children! I'll have you know that Annalie and I are both professors at a prestigious school. We could be almost as old as you. In fact, if you hadn't tried to run away while we were politely trying to apologize, your back wouldn't be hurting right now." Suzanne lectured as she crossed her arms.
"And I don't understand what the point is with your fraud smile. It makes me sick. You should just say what you want to say or your face will fall off from smiling too much. Smile when you want to, yell when you want to! Right, Annalie?" Suzanne huffed.
((One of Suzanne's flaws is being insensitive... but I should probably add forceful too. =w="))
