Bell's beak slipped and her breath whooshed out of her lungs as Niji managed to knock her off. Once again, she nearly fell over, but she caught her balance again. "I might have shown mercy, but I'm not so sure any more." She glared daggers at him before swinging a right hook.

Bell gasped, feeling very near the end of her strength. She couldn't deny it... the pesky eevee was strong. And he definitely hated her, so he would be a threat to her in the future, as well... She'd have to watch her tail feathers as long as Niji refused to submit to her power. There was only one thing to do: End the battle, and win!
She rushed forward, summoning the last bit of her concentration in a final attack. If this didn't work... But she refused to think such thoughts.

Niji went tumbling, fetching up against the tree, then flopping back to somehow end up right where he had started at the beginning of all this, at the base of the tree, under the bush. He tried briefly to get up, made it about two feet out of the bush, then lost the battle with consciousness and passed out.

Bell panted until she had regained her breath. She claimed the spot that Niji had once been sleeping in with a sigh, and closed her eyes. Sleep didn't come, though; she started fidgeting almost as soon as she sat down. She opened her eyes and glared at the unconscious pokemon.
With a heavy sigh, Bell gently dragged Niji to the dry spot, brushed off some of the dirt and twigs from his fur, and fluffed herself up. She gave one more glare to her victim before reluctantly shutting her eyes and falling asleep, while the rain fell all around them.
