Wait, what? Candace blinked and just stared at Cass in amazement. He...he what? "Did...he do anything strange during this run?" She hoped Cass would find his behavior when forced into darkness strange. Regardless of if he had done any of that though she was still very impressed! Jerry actually did it? She was so proud! She even smiled, taking that first step toward the tower until she heard a very loud crash. ...Well s**t. Candace stopped dead in her tracks and whirled around to stare in the direction it had come from. The front gates?! Crap! Crap! "Ah..!" She looked from the crash to the tower and back again, feeling torn. Leon had told them to check out the tower...he wouldn't have done that without reason, right? Right?! s**t! But...but the crash! Someone needed to check it out! What if the other divisions couldn't make it?! ARGH! Because it's completely normal to head toward a loud noise. I say do it. DO IT CANDACE~! Atropos was giggling with glee, sounding very excited to finally be used today. Candace frowned and bit down on her lip, grabbing her phone again. Marushii To Lance: There's no way you didn't see or hear that. Can the tower wait? Whatever happening here seems to be contained inside right now. I want to check the crash out. She put her phone away after that. "We'll come back for the tower. Explosions kind of warrant over quiet activity, I think." Candace muttered with a bit of a frustrated edge to her tone. They were running all around! Ugh! Why couldn't they just have one calm ******** day? You complain and yet you get excited when things like this happen. Admit it, you love when things like this are happening. Candace gave a short chuckle. Okay, maybe a little. More like a lot. I've seen the way you look at Jerry in the heat of battle, naughty ghoul. She actually blushed then but shook her head at the thought. Now was not the time for that. "I'm gonna check it out. If you want to split up and have some of us go some of stay, that's cool but...we can't just ignore that." Candace took off in a run toward the gate. The tower would hopefully still be there when she returned. ((EXITING OHSH--))

Molly had just been tickled with pure delight upon being introduced to Candace, Cass, Before, and Emmaline, and resisted the strong urge to smooth over some of the hairs on Emmaline’s head, much like a doting mother would.
The young woman just listened to them converse for the time being, and of course looked alarmed and worried when things started to go down. Even with the new text from one of their superiors, everything seemed to be in a flurry of events, and honestly Molly wasn’t sure which way to turn until Candace called out to her loud and clear. “A..ah! Understood!” Now with a direction, the young woman started to follow after the others, when something caught her attention…a large streak of fog across the sky…t
Moll paused, her brows furrowing as the mist seemed to be…concentrating. “Uh…” She looked back at Candace, Cass and Before. “Ma’ams and…sir…uh…what is that?” She pointed at the fog that seemed to be gathering in one spot in the distance, until Candace seemed ready to go and investitage.
Oh no…they had gotten a text from a superior…but now there seemed to be another pressing matter…but…Candace couldn’t go alone! Molly seemed to be very much torn as what direction she could go…but maybe it was the loud yell in her head telling her to check out the explosion that finally decided it.
“…I…I am coming with you Miss Candace!”

"You guys go check that out, I'm going to tackle this tower for Lance, just in case whatever is up in here is...." more important than you think. She didn't say it, but either way, she stepped into the tower, braving it first, just in case...

Cass stepped back into the shadows, swinging her blade into the first offender to come near her before she pressed onwards, giving only one backwards glance to see if anybody was coming along with her to raid the tower.

[[Second Sweep of the Shadows!]] With a new burst of Energy, Cass finished pushing through the room to the other side, waiting there in case someone else joined her through the tower.

[[lol 4eva lagging behind in orp;; ]] "Okay," Emmaline nodded assent and stood back a little as she waited for the other girl to step through the door first. In that moment, her phone beeped again-- another order from Lance?-- and she pulled it out. To her surprise, it was a text from Wil, and she tapped out a quick response before following the others inside. Syusaki we're fine. heading into miss taken tower...? where are you She wasn't sure what to expect in this tower. Adventure and princesses didn't sound that bad, but she had the feeling that everything on this island was worse than it seemed... as she took her first steps through the door, another explosion shook the ground. Immediately Candace and Molly headed off towards the direction of the commotion, and Emmaline considered leaving to join them. But it would be more reasonable to split up evenly, so she followed behind Cass into the tower, slashing around with Sakiel in what she hoped was an effective manner. Emmaline hoped that Cass had noticed her before the darkness in the tower engulfed them both. She took hesitant steps forward and continued to swipe at what she could see of the shadowy figures. Short of breath now, Em could see the other side of the room marked by a door that drew closer with each step. She wondered if Sakiel would offer any help here, as he had promised, but she seemed to be doing fine. So maybe he would just remain silent. She gestured to Cass, who was waiting at the threshold of the doorway, as she approached, and then joined her at the end of the room. It was hard to see towards the entrance they had come from, the shadows were so inpenetrable, but she hoped that some other hunters would be joining them. This first level hadn't been that bad, but she dreaded the deathsweeper that came next, whatever it was. Cass patted Emmaline on the back as she made it to the top of the stairs, beginning to ascend to the next one with the new trainee in tow.
"You're doing good!" she beamed approvingly, even as she climbed into the somewhat familiar room with the tiled floor. Cass made a small face. "Watch the floor. Some of these tiles will...do nasty things if you don't pay attention." Cass explained as she stepped out onto the floor cautiously.
The floor seemed to be relatively safe under her feet.[[Quick explanation: Cass is explaining the 'recoveries' for Deathsweeper. Our recoveries allows mist trainees to shift their roll 2 numbers either way (to prevent either damage or horrible deaths if we so wish). You can do this twice with our recoveries. Cass handled another step across the floor effectively, even as it seemed to....plot....to change on her, at least until she got to the other side, standing there and turning to wait for Emmaline patiently.
"Just let your weapon's gut help you a bit and you'll be fine. She squeezed her eyes shut as her foot landed, expecting explosions or a gaping chasm or maybe more shadows, and... nothing happened. Her heart beating its way out of her chest, she let out the breath she had been holding and gingerly continued across the room. She nodded as Cass explained about the weapons. Surely Sakiel would know more about this than her, because she knew nothing. And they had been doing fine so far, so maybe he really was guiding her. Cass grinned as Emmaline crossed the floor without a mishap in the world.
"See! You're a natural!" She grinned as she continued up the flight of stairs up into the next room. "Okay, now there are some locks up here. Be careful with 'em 'cause they can hurt you and the princess." she said, nodding. "Beyond that, nothing too fancy up here."
And oh, there was indeed a princess. Two of 'em! It was like Lance knew...or someone had known. It was almost suspicious, Cass giving a cautious look around before she crouched to begin working at the manacle on one wrist of the princess.... Princess Bix.

The first one clicked off easily, and Cass moved on to the second one, still glad that this wasn't Jenga.
