There May Come A Day
Quite interested in what he intended to do, the princess looks almost sheepish as the questions turned on her. "I've actually completed my music degree. I've been slacking in the drama department, however." she was fairly sure that she had mentioned double majoring to him, but wasn't completely sure. She had been overloading her schedule, and even taking online classes during winter break. "I've picked up cello fairly easily, and I'm working on learning viola right now." she paused, as if considering something before continuing to speak. "I had wanted to learn bass, but with my height, it was awkward and a little uncomfortable." she admitted, looking fairly unhappy about it.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."Smiling, he listened to her answer. He had to stop himself from looking surprised as she mention two majors, as he felt guilty for forgetting. She went on, and his expression, he was sure, showed how impressed he was. "I wouldn't call what you've done slacking." he pointed out lightly. Rina was doing very well in his opinion, and she had plenty of time to do even more. He was pleased to know that she was learning more of stringed instruments, though her face showed how upset she was about the bass situation. "Perhaps you'll get taller?" he doubted that she would grow much more, but he was sure that after a few years she would probably gain enough determination to learn it anyway.

There May Come A Day
Looking amused, the princess shook her head. "Just because I'm turning one hundred doesn't mean I'm magically going to age." she sounded amused, relaxing back into the couch. She had aged a year or two in the years that had gone by, and she probably wouldn't be growing any older in appearance for quite some time. "I suppose I could just wear really tall heels..." considering it for a moment. She wasn't totally uncomfortable in heels, but she preferred flats and sneakers. "I'll have to pick it up eventually, it'll just be a bit uncomfortable until I get used to it." she wasn't worried, she was really just putting it off for now. The princess glanced up at a loud noise from upstairs, a strong burst of magic rippling through the house. Her expression shifted to one of confusion as she looked back to Andrew. "I really hope he knows what he's doing."

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."Smiling, he stretched one arm to lay along the top of the sofa as he settled back, speaking after she did. "I've always wondered how tall heels can get." His brow furrowed for a moment at the thought, knowing that his elder sister owned several pairs of ridiculously high heels; none of which seemed comfortable at all. "But you're right. I'm sure you'll have no trouble picking it up." At the burst of magic, he glanced down to Rina as she spoke before looking back up toward the way of the stairs. "Me too." he responded with a small frown, trying not to imagine what sort of unfortunate things might occur if Icarus wasn't sure.

There May Come A Day
Considering how high heels could get, she thought back to a fashion magazine of Clair's that she had been reading. Ridiculously high, if she remembered correctly. Maybe she'd be better off hovering, though that wouldn't be practical if she ever performed outside of the veil. She smiled at his confidence in her ability, glad that he thought her capable. Glancing to the stairs once more, she simply shook her head. "I am quite sure he's fine. I saw a few tomes upstairs, so he could always consult those." she wasn't all that worried, and the comment had been made to be criticizing, not an actual reflection of her belief in her brother's abilities. Rina had forgotten that, if her brother didn't know what he was doing, it would be Andrew that would really be paying for the mistakes. "I'm sure we'll test it first. He wouldn't let you go through without proof." she reassured her boyfriend, feeling the urge to go up and check on the other Sylph anyway. The burst of magic was a sign of a large adjustment, and she worried how it might have affected her magic-sensitive brother.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."He calmed at her reassurance, hopeful that she would never lie about something as important to himself as his health. Noting her expression, he considered what would be the cause of such a burst, and asked, "Do you think he's alright?" The last thing he wanted was for the prince to be injured while doing something that was assisting Andrew.

And I Don't Want The World To See Me,
Tearing her eyes from the stairway, the princess nodded in response to his question. "He's fine, I'm sure. It's just unusual that he'd let such a thing go, considering the circumstances." she didn't go into detail about what those circumstances were, but she didn't seem highly concerned. Standing from her position on the couch, she motions for Andrew to follow. "I'd like to check, though. He'll probably want to check his progress anyway." she cast her boyfriend a smile, an attempt to keep both of their spirits up. Crossing the living room, she climbed the stairs quickly before stopping at the top. Glancing in each direction, she turns away from the bedrooms towards the open door at the end of the hall. The feel of magic grew stronger the closer they moved to the door, though Rina seemed unaffected by it. Peeking her head into the doorway, she nearly laughed at the scene inside.
The magic burst had surprised him, causing his hair to stand momentarily on end. Patting it down hurriedly, he tied it back with one of the elastics around his wrist. His bangs hung unhelpfully near his face, swinging in his eyes every so often. Letting out a curse, he pulled a hair clip from his pocket to pin his hair from his face; he looked rather silly with his bangs sticking up unhelpfully just beyond the hold of the hair clip, but at least they weren't in his eyes anymore. He had tossed his button up shirt to the side, choosing to work in the plain short-sleeved shirt he wore beneath it. Glancing up at the noise in the doorway, he stopped with his arms seemingly elbow deep in a swirling mass of colors. "Oh hello. Perfect timing." his arms remained inside the large oval, as if fiddling with something. He turned back to the mass of hues in front of him, arms moving in what one would guess were precise movements. "Andrew, are you in the hall? Would you mind coming here for a moment?"

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."Resisting another frown as the 'circumstances' were mentioned again, he simply allowed her to speak. He was beginning to think that it would be best not to think about whatever could go wrong, as it seemed neither of the sylphs wished to speak much about it. Following Rina as she all but sprinted up the stairs, he was surprised to find Icarus in his current state. It seemed that even he couldn't have prepared better for the static that was clinging to his hair from the burst of magic. His attention was caught by the swirling oval of colors, assuming that the thing was very important to the portal, if not the portal. After all, he hardly knew of anything else that could allow for someone's arms to be so deep in something so thin. After hearing his name, he nodded, only to realize that the prince wouldn't be able to see him from his position. Speaking up, he took a few steps closer from the hallway. "Yes, anything I can do?"

And I Don't Want The World To See Me,
Pleased to hear the other man's voice so close at hand, the Sylph glanced over his shoulder once more to spot him. "Ah, there you are." he seemed to be in a rather pleasant mood, though this was most likely because he was elbow deep in pure travel magic. "Not you exactly, but something I need done that requires you be close at hand, if only for a moment. Actually, I would prefer you didn't get too much closer until I am totally sure of the stability." he knew that, should the portal collapse, the ensuing magical burst wouldn't seriously harm himself nor his sister. Andrew, however, he was not sure; maybe should do a more extensive look into his capabilities, but that was something to think of at a later date. "Rina, would you mind?" he nodded his head towards Andrew, then back towards the portal. Surely his sister was bright enough to catch his drift.
After a moment of looking at her brother in confusion, a lightbulb went off. "Sure, no problem." she confirmed, moving closer to Andrew for a moment. Circling around him, she reaches to pluck a stray hair from his shoulder. Inspecting it a moment to ensure that it was his, color and length ruling out herself and her brother, before moving towards the portal with caution. "Just poke it?" she glanced at her brother for confirmation, waiting for his nod before continuing. With the hair pinched between her fingers, she stuck her hand through the swirling mass. Nothing happened, and she retracted her hand with the hair perfectly intact.
Looking amused as Rina finally caught on, he watched carefully as the experiment was carried out. When the test subject emerged unscathed, he seemed very pleased. "Excellent. It didn't collapse, and there was no negative reaction to human matter." he shifted his attention momentarily to the portal, wrapping up any loose ends before retracting his arms. Nothing seemed to be unusual with his arms, though they seemed to glow for only a moment. The portal stabilized, pulling into a perfect oval; the edges were neat, and the colors within faded and began to reveal what was on the other side. So far, it appeared to be a room painted green and filled with drawers and display cases. "Alright, Andrew. I want you to come and touch the portal. If you start to feel odd as you approach, I ask that you stop. If it hurts, do not continue and inform me immediately." it was the best way to test if the portal was working properly, and despite his sister's worried expression, it was the only way he trusted the portal would function properly.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."Pausing when instructed to, Andrew stood still and out of reach of the portal as he allowed Rina to take a stray strand of his hair, glad that there was one on his shoulder to keep her from taking a piece straight from his head. He watched quietly as she stuck the strand through, and was very happy when it returned undamaged. Icarus stepped completely from the mass, and for an eyeblink it looked as it some of the color's vibrance had washed onto his arms. Turning back to face the clearing vision of the portal, he studied what he could before focusing on the sylph's words. "Okay." he replied, more than pleased to think of the positive. His hair had returned unscathed, and everything the two said about Ix's capability was only consisting of good feedback.
Taking the last few steps needed to approach the portal, he stuck his hand out into the hues, now consisting more green due to the appearing walls, and tapped it. Feeling no resistence from his prescence, he reached farther, and was immensly pleased with the fact that he felt nothing of a 'consequence'. His hand was able to poke through, and he wriggled his fingers there for several seconds before reaching back. Facing the sylphs, he spoke with no little amount of relief. "Feels alright to me. And nothing seems wrong." He held up the hand he'd used with a smile, turning it so they could clearly see both sides.

And I Don't Want The World To See Me,
Watching Andrew very carefully as he drew closer to the portal, the princess looked relieved when he pulled back his hand with no damage. With that settled, she turned to fully inspect the portal and what was appearing on the other side. Her brow furrowed, and she drew closer to it to inspect the image more carefully. "Ix...." her tone was slow, as if realizing something. "Is that my closet?" turning to look at her brother, she took in the innocent expression taking root on his features and frowned. "You built a portal in my closet?" she questioned again, unsure of how to feel of this. It was brilliant to construct it somewhere no one would dare venture, but she felt almost violated that he had entered her room without her permission.
"No one goes in your room. It was the perfect place." he shrugged, looking almost amused now. Turning to look at Andrew, and his unscathed hand, the prince looks very pleased with the results. "Excellent." he was definitely pleased that the portal had worked and had not harmed his sister's boyfriend. "If that's the case, we can leave at any time." he glanced at his sister briefly, whose expression had gone blank. "Unless there is something you need to do, I would like to leave immediately. The city is a good five hours ahead of us, and I would hate to be late for dinner." he looked to Rina again, trying to pick up some sort of emotional cue from her but getting nothing. She was just as skilled as he in the art of hiding emotion, though she used the skill far less.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."Listening to Rina, he was surprised to hear that her suspicions were affirmed. Yet, he wouldn't deny that such a place to build a portal was ideal; but he knew that meant Icarus had gone into her room and closet on numerous occasions. While she remained quiet, Andrew turned to the prince, taking note of the time difference between the city and their current location. He glanced to the princess, waiting for her answer but finding a blank expression. His brows furrowed as he considered the reason, unsure of what might upset her more: her room being used as a host to Ix's plans, or the fact that she was finally returning to her home. "Rina?" he questioned, taking one of her hands in his own as he continued. He was beginning to believe the latter was more upsetting; she'd made it very clear that she never wanted to face her step-mother and the woman's children. "I know it hasn't been long since breakfast but you know I love food." He flashed a smile, trying to earn some sort of reaction from the sylph. He really wasn't hungry, and he hoped she wouldn't be angered by the dinner joke.

There May Come A Day
Glancing at Andrew as he called her name and took her hand, the Sylph's blank expression faltered momentarily. At his joke, she attempted a smile; the expression was smooth, as if practiced, but it did not reach her eyes. "We should get going then." she agreed, her intonations indistinguishable. Icarus, who had vanished down the stairs momentarily, reappeared in the doorway with Andrew's bags in his hand with an additional backpack slung over his shoulder. He glanced at his sister expectantly, who simply nodded. Rina glanced at her boyfriend, another swift smile crossing her features. "I suppose I'll be going first, then." she squeezed his hand before letting go, turning to step through the portal that would lead them home.

☁ If I Get LostStepping out the other side of the portal, she seems genuinely relieved to be away from the city. Pushing open the door to the spare room, she took a moment to step down the hall, push open the door to the master bedroom, and drop of her gifts. Moving back down the hall to Andrew, she stopped with her hands on her hips; she was still dressed in the silk blue dress that she had worn to the Adjacio that fell just barely to her knees. The two had changed time zones through the portal, falling back in step with Capital City. A faint smile graced her lips as she took a moment to study him, and she was visibly relaxed compared to how she had been mere hours prior. She was unsure as to what he would wish to do now, though she could guess. "I can call a cab to take you home, if you'd like." she offered, not wanting to keep him from his family. "Or you could stay the night here. With me." she wouldn't make the decision for him, and did her best to keep any sort of tone from her voice to keep from influencing him.
