A two-bedroom townhouse on the upper end of the residential district.
There is a small spare room with a locked door that is impervious to magic. What could be inside?

"I am very improper." she agreed, grinning wickedly. "Though I'm impressed you didn't question my ability to do such." such a thing would have made her quite displeased, though she assumed that was part of the reason he had refrained. "I can't say I know for sure what my brother has planned, but I'm sure it will be much safer than flying." she reassured him, looking out the window as the cab came to a stop along a row of neat townhouses. Were it not for the white-haired man sitting on the steps outside, she would have openly questioned the cabby's ability to follow directions. Letting out a sigh, she shook her head. Pulling out her wallet, she hands forward the bills necessary to cover the accumulated cost of the ride. "That snake..." opening the door, she climbs out onto the sidewalk. "It looks like my brother has been keeping secrets." she indicated for Andrew to follow her out as she turned to eye the building in front of her.

Having arrived back at his city residence ahead of schedule, the Sylph had taken the liberty to strip out of his bloody clothes and dispose of them. Allowing himself the luxury of a very short shower, he dressed quickly before eventually making his way to the steps outside. His hair was slightly damp and hung loose, an unusual thing for him in recent years; he had it tied back the vast majority of the time, but he hadn't wanted to bother looking for a hair tie when the cab could arrive any second. Seating himself casually on the steps outside, it is only a few minutes later that the cab in question pulls up. Hooking the hair on the left side of his face behind his ear, he stands. "Well, it certainly took you long enough to get here." he comments, hands in his pockets. He made no move from the steps, waiting patiently for Andrew to climb out of the taxi and for the couple to make their way towards him.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Quite honestly, Rina's strength was something he had little doubt in. He'd seen her fight first-hand, after all. Refraining from commenting such, as a look out the window made it very clear they were no where near their designated location, he raised a brow at the building. Turning his head back, he frowned openly at the sight of her money being used to pay the cab driver. Icarus had mentioned that the princess had ought to pay, but he still had trouble with the notion. Even after five years, he still preffered the human tradition of that male paying for a lady's expense. Sighing inaudibly, he opened the door without complaint and climbed out. After straightening up, he held the door open for Rina, while his gaze swept across the prince. He'd changed, and for the first time Andrew could see, his hair was down. "Very nice location." he mentioned with a smile. He was unsure as how to react, considering Rina's general reaction.

User Image And I Don't Want The World To See Me,

Climbing the rest of the way up the steps, the young prince pulled a set of keys from his pocket. Unlocking the front door, he pushes it open before glancing over his shoulder. "Are you going to stand on the curb all day, or are you going to come in?" he questioned, waiting for couple to begin climbing the stairs before stepping into the house. Slipping his shoes off at the door, he sets them aside so they would not be in the way. Wandering further into the house, he indicates for the two to follow him as he steps into the living room. Seating himself in the large red chair closest to the large window, he crosses his legs casually. "Welcome to my humble abode. Though I suppose that, technically, it is your house too." he glances at Rina, who by this point looked quite unhappy. "You see, after Ciarin and I learned of your attending Reed's, we purchased this place in the family name. Just in case."

Choosing not to argue, the princess moves to follow her brother into the house. Slipping her shoes off by the door as he had done, she waves Andrew into the house before turning and closing the door. As unhappy as she was about the situation, it would be troublesome if people wandered in off the street. Glancing about the house as she followed her brother, she comes to the conclusion that he must be the one who actually lived here; it was definitely decorated in his style. Choosing to sit on the loveseat, she made herself comfortable for his explanation. Closing her eyes at his explanation, she leaned her head back to rest along the top of the couch. "I should have known. I suppose this is where you've been staying when you come to visit?" she didn't need to see the prince's nod to know his answer, though she sat up straight again after a moment. "And I suppose you shan't be letting me return to campus until we leave?" again, she already knew the answer. "What about my clothes?"

Nodding to all of her questions, save for the last, he smiled faintly. "You know better than that. Ciarin has already arranged for new clothes for you." at the look of horror on the princess's face, he raised a hand before continuing. "Anastasia reigned him in. No need to fret." he glanced at Andrew, who surely must be a bit confused. "Anastasia is our soon-to-be sister-in-law. Her younger brother was Rina's best friend growing up." he explained simply, ignoring Rina for a moment. "As for you, is there anything that you might need that we can't simply replace? I can tell you now that my brother has arranged clothes for you as well." there was little use arguing, as quite honestly, Icarus could do nothing to fix it. If Andrew had a problem, he would simply need to take it up with the oldest Windstorm sibling.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Stepping inside at the sylph’s bidding, Andrew spared a glance at the room’s interior. It held a rather interesting design for wallpapers, but the flash of green ferns was a nice touch to keep him from studying it too closely. Slipping off his shoes as the others did, he took the liberty of occupying the other cushion of the sofa beside Rina. Leaning into its corner, he listened with mild surprise at Icarus' explanation; It was just like the prince’s habit to do such a thing. Ciarin? He had heard that name on some occasion, and after several moments he was able to connect it to the eldest Windstorm. He continued to pay attention as the prince continued speaking. He nodded in understanding as their future sister-in-law was explained, as well as her brother's relationship to Rina; who was now basically kidnapped until the wedding date. Agreebly, this was a lot to take in on such short notice, especially earlier his biggest conern had been that his girlfriend was wounded and about to go into surgery. Sighing, he frowned at the mention of clothes being bought for him. "What? But they don't even know my size." he pointed out simply. Of course, there wasn't much he would need that didn't involve simple essentials that could be bought at the nearest store. Pausing before speaking thus, he realized that the manner in which he'd left his dorm was abrupt. "I should really call my roommate."

User Image And I Don't Want The World To See Me,

Settling into the couch with an unhappy expression clear on her face, the princess listened carefully as her brother spoke. In hindsight, she really shouldn't be surprised that her brother had done such a thing. She mentally braced herself for a closet full of dresses, knowing exactly what sort of clothing her oldest brother preferred her to wear. With Anastasia looking out for her, there was a good chance that some more casual attire had been slipped in as well. Silently thanking whatever god would listen for Anastasia, she glanced at Andrew. Surely, that was quite a bit of information to take in. If only she hadn't dragged him into this mess, his life wouldn't be quite so complicated. Rina cast her boyfriend an apologetic look, choosing to ignore her brother for now.

"I guessed." the Sylph shrugged, as if it was no big deal. "If the clothes don't fit, we'll simply have them tailored." it wasn't that big of a deal, but he had little doubt that his guesswork was correct. Pausing a moment, he looked as if considering something a long moment before speaking. "Technically speaking, I can't force you to come along. But I should warn that, should you decide not to go to the capital, they will come here." his expression was unusually serious, even for him. Catching the glare shot at him by his sister, he let out a short sigh and relaxed his expression. "But I agree, that would be wise." he agreed, wondering if the roommate in question knew anything of the situation that had dragged Andrew out here in the first place. Standing from his chair, he motions for Rina to stand as well. "While you do that, I'd like to inspect how her wound is healing. We'll be back shortly." leading his sister out of the room, he turns back into the main hallway and opens another door. Presumably, this was the bathroom, where any mess caused by the wound in question could be more easily cleaned.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Andrew nodded in Icarus’ direction, supposing that such a thing as clothes and tailoring couldn’t be helped in such a situation. Besides, his upbringing had accounted for some etiquette, and he was taught that as a guest in someone’s home, you don’t tell them how to be hospitable. “I won‘t complain. I will be a guest after all.” He gave the princess a small smile to indicate that she’d done no wrong, and felt no hostilities towards her or even her brother. He was, after all, a reflection on Rina, and he was sure that Icarus wanted only the best of impressions to be made when his sister made her return. In addition and all honesty, the necromancer did not want them to come here, at least not so soon. While his family had developed enough to get along, it was still complicated business when his parents were involved; and he wasn’t ready for the stress that would bring.

Allowing the sylphs to leave the room, as he had no more questions and would make no move to interfere with Rina’s health, he fumbled with the pocket of his jeans until successfully finding his cell phone. Flipping up the black cover, he scrolled along his contacts until locating the number he would need. His poor roommate had been planning to leave to his home in Florida in only two days, and had expected Andrew to remain for another two. After four rings, a voice picked up on the other end.

“Andrew? God, I was wondering where you were.” He winced slightly at the man’s tone, surprised at how concerned he was. Then again, it was completely out of the student‘s norm to be gone away so long, and late, especially without leaving some sort of excuse. “Sorry Dan. Listen, I had an emergency to deal with at home and had to leave. Will you be sure to lock up the dorm before you go?” “Yeah, yeah, sure. But, what was the emergency? I mean, you even left the microwave on. I thought you were big on safety.” “I am big on safety.” After all, who would want their room to burned down? “Then why‘d ya‘ leave? I deserve to know.” Frowning, Andrew sighed. He hadn’t wanted to mention the reason of his sudden departure for fear giving out personal business relating to Rina, but nothing would satisfy Dan until he knew. Besides, the man had a point, he deserved to know why he would have to watch over things. “My girlfriend was shot by some stupid teenagers.” he muttered, using a tone that showed very clearly his displeasure at the situation. He bet the idiots were already harassing another victim. Perking up though, he continued with a lighter voice. “She‘s alright though, already out of the hospital.” “Really? Woaw, sorry guy. But, already out? Didn’t they do surgery?” Mentally slapping himself, Andrew spoke quickly to cover his words. A few hours of being inside the veil was certainly not long enough to make such a simple mistake as telling a human with no magical experience that a girl was shot and discharged on the same day. “Yeah, but it wasn‘t very deep. And you haven’t met her, she’s made of tough stuff.” Unable to keep the pride from his voice at the end of his statement, he finished the conversation, now sure that his roommate would manage without his presence. “Anyways, I really should be going. See ya‘ soon Dan.”

After hearing a goodbye from the other man, he snapped the phone shut, but chose to keep it in hand for a bit longer. It would be just like Dan to say he was fine, and then remember some question that needed asking only minutes later. Sparing a glance toward the room he assumed was the bathroom, he wondered how well Rina was feeling. He‘d sounded so confident about her condition on the phone, but it was hard to keep at bay the automatic worry that formed when he couldn‘t see her. Checking the time on his phone‘s screen, Andrew wondered if he would be able to find his way to his parent‘s home. It shouldn’t be too far, considering they were in the city’s residential part, but it might be a wiser choice to call for Amelia.

User Image And I Don't Want The World To See Me,

A sharp noise of pain rang through the apartment, followed by snarled insults just loud enough to be heard through the bathroom door. "Don't just poke it!" came the snarling voice of Rina, uncharacteristically tight in her pain. "Hold still." It seemed the siblings were quarrelling once more, and Icarus was obviously losing patience. After another short argument, no noise escaped the bathroom for the next few minutes as the short procedure was wrapped up. The door opened, footsteps making their way back to the living room. Falling back onto the couch where she had been sitting prior, the princess slouches and lays her head back against the cushion. She was paler than she had been before, though color was slowly beginning to return to her cheeks. "If he turns up dead in the morning, it was most definitely me." she informs her boyfriend, letting out a heavy sigh only to flinch at the bandages restricting her movement. Relaxing against the couch once more, she turned her attention to Andrew with one hand pressed against her injured side. "Is your roommate alright?" she asks, turning her head to look at him. Rina had never met the man, but she still felt bad for stealing away his roommate without a real explanation.

With the door open, one could clearly hear the sink running and the quiet complaints of the prince. He emerged from the hall a few minutes later, looking slightly drained. "You didn't need to bleed all over my bathroom." the prince complained, loosening up from his 'public face'. He was far less controlled when in his own home with only his sister and her boyfriend around, especially now when he was so tired. He moved into the kitchen to dig about the cabinets there before returning with a handful of what appeared to be herbs. Taking note of the unpleasant look he was receiving, he frowned "Don't start with me. I am not obligated to drain half my magic just to fix that mess." he waved a hand at her side, sitting in the chair by the window. In his hand was a strange looking plant, which he promptly began to tear off in chunks and chew on. Turning his attention to Andrew, his expression calms slightly. "You are welcome to visit others while you're here, but I would prefer to leave tomorrow night or the day after." he made it clear that the necromancer was not on house arrest, though he couldn't say the same for Rina. His words were more a warning than anything, as he definitely would leave without the young man should he not return on time.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Startled by the shout of pain, Andrew turned to face the door once more, concern written sprawled across his face. It eased slightly, however, when muffled voices of both genders could be hear, relaying his fear enough to stay where he was until Rina emerged. When she did, her path led straight to the seat she’d been occupying before leaving, so he had little need to move much to ensure that she was alright. She appeared to be fine, though her flinch caused him to reconsider momentarily. He recovered quickly, telling himself that it was natural for new bandages to be placed tightly around the wound; and any doubt left was washed away by her joke. He chuckled at the comment, and kept his smile as he answered her question. "Yes, and thankfully, he understood." Leaving out the part of his slipup let the matter drop to glance at Icarus, who’d made his return from the bathroom. He looked tired, but less stressed as he usually did as he started some form of a plant. Assuming this was a Sylphid food, he didn’t question the behavior, and instead listened to what the prince had to say. He nodded, gaining enough from the comments to be sure that he was not under the same restrictions as his girlfriend. "How long do you think we'll be there?" he questioned, knowing the answer would affect his choice of the departure date. He was hoping to have some time to visit both of his sisters and those within their households, but was otherwise open to this trip. Should it be a week or less, he had no problem leaving for the city the next day.

User Image And I Don't Want The World To See Me,

With the plant in his hand gone, the Sylph looked nearly back to normal; the herb had partially restored his magic stores and he was feeling better. At Andrew's question, he paused a moment, considering. "Today is Saturday, yes?" it was a rhetorical question, but he appreciated his sister's nod nonetheless. "Rina's birthday is this coming Tuesday. The wedding, which was originally supposed to be Wednesday, was pushed back to Thursday to allow for a bit of recuperation." he glanced at his sister, who wasn't looking too pleased. "One hundred is an important birthday, especially when it's that of our beloved princess." he smiled, drawing another insult in German from his sister. Chuckling quietly, the prince ignores her harsh words and continues. "I suppose that, technically, you could leave immediately after meeting the remaining family members and they would be happy. However, Rina would require an escort. A duty you seem none too pleased to pass off. So I would say that Friday is the earliest." the reception was bound to go late and carry over in the next day, so Friday was his suggestion.

"That's good." she answered, one hand still pressed to her side. Glancing to Icarus as he explained the predicted itinerary. "I don't need or want a big party. It's just my birthday." when that comment drew a 'too bad', she let out a short sigh of frustration. One hundred was supposed to be a big deal, she remembered when Icarus had hit such a birthday, and new full well that her own event would cause just as much fuss. Fuss she did not want. "I'm not staying longer than a week." there was an underlying threat in her voice, as if suggesting that nothing could stop her from leaving when she wanted. Knowing Rina, that much was probably true. Her frustration grew at the amused look from her brother, and she raised her hands to rub her temples. "You know what? I'll worry about it after the wedding. For now, I'm hungry."

Still looking fairly amused, the Sylph stood from his seat at his sister's complaint. "Of course. I nearly forgot." taking a moment to stretch his back, he glances at Andrew. "Will you be staying for dinner?" he asked, hands moving to rest in his pockets. "If so, what would you like? I can cook or we can order in." his eyes darted to his sister, as if to say 'she isn't to leave the house'. "I'm not sure what I have, but there isn't much I can't make." he didn't mention magic, but it was suggested that was what he meant. For the ingredients, at least; making fully prepared meals appear took too much effort, and he wasn't half bad at cooking anyway.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Appreciating the answer given to him by Icarus, he withdrew from the sibling's bickering to organize the upcoming week in his mind. Considering the celebrations that would be entailed to Rina's birthday, he would hate to intrude by making them arrive only the day before. And the prince was correct when mentioning that he would prefer to be his girlfriend's escort. "Leaving tomorrow will be fine." he said once the two seemed to be past another snippish curse in German. He bit back any disagreement about Rina's thoughts of her upcoming, knowing that she would only fight his opinion with her own. He planned to wait until tuesday to speak up, when she would have the most dificulty to fight back. Looking up when addressed, he shook his head before replying. "I would like to. But I have a couple errands to run." One of those errands involved preperations for the trip. If they were to leave the next day, he would need to find his gift tonight, and think of a proper way of hiding it.

Standing from the couch, he shared an apologetic look, as he hated to turn down the sylph's hospility. Leaning down far enough to peck the princess' cheek, his eyes shot to her wound for a moment, just to ensure that she would recover as quickly as she insisted. This had turned into an eventful day, and he would love nothing more than to relax now, especially if Rina was nearby. But if his gift recieved the reaction he intended, the look of her face would be enough to erase a few hours of sleepiness. Still, in all his worry he hadn't thought much of showing affection to his girlfriend, and took the next second as a moment for them. Moving his lips to her's, he kissed her lightly as a simple message of his care for her well-being. At its end, he straightened his posture in preperation of leaving. "See you in the morning."

User Image And I Don't Want The World To See Me,

Nodding to accept this answer, the Sylph ran through the contents of the kitchen in his head. He knew what his sister did and didn't like, so he didn't see the need to ask; she would eat whatever he made with little complaint no matter what it was. "I'll leave the front door unlocked." he didn't know where else the young man would stay the night, but it seemed from his words that he didn't intend to be back for a while. At he questioning look from his sister, the young man smirked. "Do you really think anyone, or anything, can get in this house without my knowing?" with his point made, the prince moved into the kitchen to dig about for what he needed to prepare dinner.

With the departure date set, the princess seemed as displeased about the situation as ever. Leaving tomorrow would probably be best, it was less time she would be forced to stay inside, but that didn't mean she was pleased about the situation. Turning her attention to Andrew as he spoke up about departure, she hid her disappointment well; she supposed it was perfectly reasonable for him to run errands, but it had been a while since they had seen each other. Then again, the next week would surely be full of dragging him about Urbem Ventum to sight see and to various events she would be required to attend. Smiling faintly as he kissed her cheek, Rina did not miss the swift glance to her side. "I'm fine." she insisted, her tone surprisingly patient despite his persistent worrying. She wished he wouldn't fret so much, especially when she was technically weeks along the healing route. Resisting the urge to blush as he kissed her, she felt rather like a schoolgirl with a crush at times like this, she smiled as he stood to leave. "Be careful on your errands. I hear there are some stupid kids carrying guns in this town." it was an attempt at a joke, and she hoped he wouldn't take it the wrong way.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Frowning despite the humor in his eyes, Andrew shook his head slowly. “You‘re impossible.” His smile broke free then, and he turned to replace the shoes on his feet. He knew it would be silly to worry too much longer about her injury, but even sillier to deny that he wouldn’t be satisfied until Icarus himself was comfortable with acknowledging that she was in fact, healed. Pushing aside off the thoughts and now knowing that the door would be unlocked for his return, he left the townhouse without any more of a fuss.

User Image And I Don't Want The World To See Me,

With Andrew gone, the Sylphid prince set about preparing enough food to satisfy both himself and his sister. It wasn't long until he moved back into the living room, two plates in hand. Handing one off to Rina, he seated himself back in his chair. "You can glare all you want, but you know full well what would happen if you didn't show up." he poked at the dish of pasta in his hand, letting out a short sigh. "And you know he would have been very displeased if he didn't find out until after the fact." he continued, pausing long enough to start in on his meal. "You should have told him sooner." he pointed out, ending his short speech there.

"I know, I know." the princess sighed carefully, eating her pasta slowly. "That does not mean I have to be happy about it." she glanced up, noting the expression on her brother's face, and sighed again. "I know, happy face for the public. As always." the two continued to eat in silence, leaving it at that. Rina was growing weary, that much was obvious from her face and Icarus was quick to hurry her off to bed. Much to her displeasure, there was a chest full of clothes in her size. "I really shouldn't be surprised..." she might have argued more, but the sleep aides that had been slipped into her dinner were starting to take effect. She didn't object as her brother tucked her into the bed in the master bedroom, leaving the other half open for the guest that had yet to return. Icarus moved back down to the couch, pulling a book from the shelf in the living room to occupy himself until he went to bed.
