“Alright.” Raust felt Northland rest his head on him and was comforted by the warmth. If this was what it was like to have a mate then it wouldn’t be so bad. Sniffing lightly Raust smelled Nothland’s unique scent and found that he already associated it with the time they spent together before, not so surprising Raust wanted to do that again.

"Yeah?" Northland asked not sure what Raust was saying alright to. He assumed alright to everything but assuming makes you make an a** out of yourself and he felt like he had done that enough today.

“I’m ok with taking things one step at a time.” Raust smiled at Northland. He licked Northland’s fur. “So what do mated couples do?” He pulled back from Northland to look at the other fox. He wasn’t sure what to expect as far as that kind of thing went.

"Sounds good to me," He said with a nod and a smile creeping a crossed his face even with his mask hiding it. He nuzzled Raust and smiled at his question. "They do anything and everything. Whatever it is they want pretty much. It really depends on the couple."

Anything? Raust’s mind flashed back to the rubbing and nuzzling Northland did with him the first time they met. He immediately blushed. Just because he really wanted to do that again didn’t mean that Northland would want to. Come to think on it what did Northland like to do? “What is it you do when you aren’t here with me in the fortest?”

Northland watched as a blush crossed Raust cheeks and laughed. He didn't know what the other male was thinking but the look on his face was priceless. "I generally wander around looking for others to pull a prank on,"

Pull a prank on? Raust blinked. He supposed he had been the one getting a prank pulled on when Pan pretended to play dead or the time Pan tugged some low hanging willow down and wrapped it around Raust’s horns. “I know someone who likes to pull pranks, but he lives closer to the edge of the forest now. Should we go see him?”

"Yeah but I haven't done so in awhile truth be told.' He said now that he thought about it. Which was unusual for him. "If you didn't mind maybe visit them later. Right now I'd just like to spend some time with you." he said while laying down than looking at the spot next to him waiting for Raust to join him.

Raust had never pulled a prank in his whole life, but he wasn’t about to tell Northland about that unless Northland asked. He wanted to find something that he and Northland had in common that they could do so he figured he would ask Pan about how to pull pranks later. “I’d like that.” Raust happily plopped down next to Northland. His small tail wagging quickly.

“The forest is very quite.” Raust thought for a moment. “I would walk, graze, run, I even learned to fight from Moon.” Raust moved his head up a bit not really sure how North could fight without horns. Still if a fight came he would protect North.

"Oh? You know how to fight? That is something I'd like to see sometime." Northland said. He had arched an eyebrow in wonder as Raust moved some. "So how did you stumble upon Moon and Pan?"

Northland wanted to see him fight? It was surprising to Raust but he wondered if perhaps he could spar with Moon or Pan sometime with Northland watching. He didn’t like to fight, but sparring wasn’t so bad. “I didn’t stumble on them. Moon knew my mother when she was heavy with me and then looked after me once I was born. Pan has always been around the forest here and there, though he played more with Moon than with me.”

Northland let out a yawn as he took it in. He hadn't realized that he'd been so stressed. Now that Moon was gone his adrenaline went to empty and he was now tired. "So they are family friends. More than just friends but not exactly family?" This could prove to be problematic for North.

He nodded. “I guess so. I’ve never really thought about it. Moon has simply always been here.” Ah well it didn’t matter too much he was sure that Northland and Moon could get along after all now Raust knew what Moon was so upset aobut. He couldn’t wait to tell Moon that it had only been a miscommunication but he was happy with Northland as a partner.
