Danny frowned at his story. She didn't like that he had to work so hard to get something so simple. A drum set was just a phone call away from Danny. Suddenly she had a new respect for Rikki. It was the same sort of odd compassionate respect she had for Roch. Only this was a loving sort of respect. Jack she had a cool boilfriend.
Sighing, she flopped down onto the couch with a bored wiggle. "I un wanna go back to playing," she proclaimed, like it was a fact that everyone couldn't already see. "So what do we do next?" she asked, with expectant eyes. Maybe they would go to the cafeteria and get some food, or maybe they would play video games or maybe-

Well... that was just an open invitation wasn't it? Between one moment and the next he'd vaulted over the back of the couch and landed perched over her, shadow melding for just a second to make sure he didn't land on her and hurt her. "We could start with this," he murmured, pressing a kiss to her lips. "Or this," a kiss to her jaw. "Or this..."
He pinched one of her arm warms between his fingers and drew it off her hand slowly, then pressed a gentle kiss to her palm. He'd meant to turn back to her, but his eye had caught on something strange and he did a double take. "Where did this come from?" He sat up, straddling her waist as he took her hand between both of his and began examining the little crescent shaped scar. "Danny this looks new."

Pouncing on her like that definitely wasn't fair play! As he kissed her, completely surprised, she didn't even think to kiss back, let alone do anything romantic. By the time he moved onto her jaw, she had realized what was going on (though she was still very confused), and had at least thrown one of her arms around his neck, pulling him in a possessive motion. She breathed out with pure teenage ecstasy. Gosh this felt nice.
He leaned back and pulled off one of her arm warmers, the ones she so constantly wore, and kissed her palm so lightly. Her face lit up like it was Christmas time- although hey, it was Christmas time. She felt like a goddamn princess. So princess-y, in fact, that she didn't even realize which hand he was taking the arm warmer from.
Thus her crescent scar was revealed. "N-Nowhere," she stuttered, immediately pulling her hand back. "I didn't get it from anywhere." Jackdammit Edel.

His frown was slight, but it was definitely there. It turned his facial features far more serious than the usually laid-back grim should have appeared. He stretched the skin a little tighter before releasing her hand and turning that serious look on her. "Scars don't just appear out of nowhere. Where'd it come from?"
Of course, he hadn't gone out of his way to tell Danny about his skirmish with Roch. He'd kept his shirt firmly pasted over his body until the bruises had healed, which hadn't taken all that long. But.. that was a guy thing. Guy started, guy solved, guy hidden. Now that He'd exposed the small imperfection she couldn't hide it, and that left the field open to interrogation.

That faaaaaaaace. It was her only weakness. HOW DID HE KNOW? Oh right, the whole dating thing.
Danny sighed and flopped back onto the couch, completely given up on leaning on her arms. Looks like the big secret was out, and it wasn't like Rikki was going to cuddle her after the story of what she did. Might as well get comfortable.
Of course, she was going to completely twist the story as well. Looking off into space, she said, "Moure ... Moure and I were talking, and Edel came in. She got all stupid embarrassed and jealous and then Moure ran to her side." Did Danny looked as hurt and betrayed as she felt? Probably not, "So ... I kind of carried Moure off." Gosh this was embarrassing. "Gently! But ... Edel followed me all the way to the gym. She just wouldn't give up." Danny's eyes were serious, "So we got in a fight and she daggered me on the hand and I burnt her dress and and-"
Danny put her hands over her face in complete frustration and embarrassment and let out an "uhnnnn." Rikki was probably going to scold her now and ask her why she'd done it, just like Moure had done when the fight was said and done.

He sighed at her story, shimming down her body until he could lay over her with his head on her shoulder. "Moure is Edel's boilfriend still, yeah? You can't just run off with her boilfriend like you own him." It even made his gut twist that she'd done it. He still wasn't sure how he felt about Danny's attachment to Moure, but the conversation he'd had with Roch was enough to sober him up to the reality of the situation. If he got angry and pissed off with Danny for hanging around Moure, he'd be isolating her from her friends and he'd hurt her.
And the Roch would kick his a** again.
He took her hand up again and ran his thumb in circles around the scar, and decided to just tell her. She'd at least spilled her guts about the scar... "I... got in a fight with Roch," he grumbled.

His movement surprised her. She didn't think he'd get off and leave or anything, but she certainly wasn't expecting him to move in closer to her. A betraying smile crossed her face as he squished down next to her on the couch. In the happiness of not being abandoned, Danny put an unprepared kiss on his cheek.
"I didn't know they were dating. I still don't even know. He won't tell me," she said darkly, letting a sigh of air brush her bangs out her face for her. Was she a bit butthurt that Moure was picking Edel over her still? Maybe. Sure she had made peace with it somewhat while falling asleep on her vacation, but the sting never really went away when she pictured Moure running over and begging at her feet to believe him.
Lost in thought, his next comment surprised her. She looked down at him with startled, alarmed eyes. "Y-you what?!" No, no, no. Roch was rowdy and Rikki was a bit of a brawler as well, but why would they get in a fight?! They were bros!

He released a sort of surprised/confused snort and thought about that. "Huh... I always just assumed they were together. Never thought to actually ask." That was kind of an important part in determining relationship statuses, wasn't it? Whoops. Strange that he wouldn't tell Danny when it kind of seemed obvious that something was going on if Edel's was getting awkward and jealous.
He grit his teeth a bit as he thought about the fight he'd had with Roch and pinched at her shirt absently. "We fought. I texted him asking to spar, but he came to me all pissed off and said some things I didn't like. He would have beaten me pretty hard if he hadn't stopped." That fact still made him a little bitter. He'd be doing more training, that was for sure. "We're good now, though." It had all been worked out of their systems and they were pretty much back to normal Rikki and Roch.

The sad thing was that Danny could easily picturing Roch doing that. Getting all upset and then beating something up over it? Totally Roch. His angry face was already imprinted in her mind as she thought about it. It was odd that he stopped though. If Roch was really angry, he would've beaten it to a pulp. Danny wondered what the "things he didn't like" were that Rikki was referring to, but she decided not to pry. She didn't want to talk about fighting anymore. As long as they (Roch and Rikki) were okay now, she didn't care.
Slowly, she slid down until she was face to face with Rikki. She gave him a long, hard look, evaluating him. In a swift movement, she brought her fist swinging in to hit him straight in the stomach. "That's for fighting Roch, stupid," she said simply.
Then, she wrapped her arms back around his neck, tangling her fingers in his hair, and pushed her leg in between his. Ever so gently (well, as gentle as Danny could be, really), she leaned in and kissed him with as much ghoulishness as she could. Breathlessly, she said, "That's for everything else."

He groaned as her fist connected with his stomach, pouting mightily at the offense. A punch to the stomach for fighting with Roch? Jack knows what he'd get if she knew just what they'd been fighting over. He'd need to invest in protective gear before she ever found that out.
The kiss caught him off guard as he was busy fretting over the knee perilously close to fragile goods, and he was shocked and the soft, fleeting caress. He blew out a surprised breath and laughed. "I could get used to that," he chuckled, settling down to curl his body around hers and weave their fingers together.
