He didn’t know why?
Hel’s brows furrowed even more and her bottom lip stuck out. How could he not know? How could the problem be addressed if she didn’t know what the problem was or what caused it? “…But…things like that are…suppose to be…signs of affection they’re suppose to be…” She waved her good hand idly. “…Happy…light, cherished…make you…feel good…not…sick…scared…” Hel was having such a hard time wrapping her head around this. “…So…at the wedding…I…caused you….discomfort?” And if Hel looked devastated before, she just looked worse now as she stared up at him, her lips pulled down deeply.
It really bothered her that she’d upset him somehow…"...Does...that include....holding hands...too?" She was almost afraid to ask. Almost. Valkyries weren't afraid of anything! ...Even if it was saddening.

Mot frowned, his heart sinking sadly in his chest as Hel listed the things he was supposed to feel about affection. He felt like a failure as a boilfriend. He knew, deep down, that this issue would come up eventually. But why did it have to be now?
"N-no.. I was just... startled.." He admitted shyly, rubbing his arm. It was just a kiss to the temple, after all. Still, it had left him zombie like.
Mot shook his head at her hesitant question. "No. I like holding hands." He said assuringly, eyeing the ghoul carefully. He held hands with ghouls like Lizzy often. Doing that with hel... Mot smiled to himself. he'd like to do that with her.
"Um.. I know I must be difficult, and I apologize. But, I'd really like to work through this. Small steps but... I'll try my best for you."

Hel looked up at the grim reaper a tad skeptically. Only startled, huh? Suuuure. She totally believed that. The boil had been zoned out for a good couple of minutes.
As he consented to the holding hands idea though, well…that was a bright light and something for the ghoul to have a solid standing on. All was not lost (not that she would have given up anyways)! Hel’s expression lightened considerably. Hand holding….yesssss…and as Mot went on to speak, Hel blinked…and then blushed lightly, scowling softly as she looked off to the side. “You are not difficult, and don’t apologize!” She muttered. I’ll try my best for you. Ahhh her stomach was doing funny things! “…You know…sayings like…whatever happens, happens…or…” Ah, he’d like this one, she thought, “…These were the cards you have been dealt, so you make your play…?” She nodded her head, and then looked back up at him. “…If you want to work through it…of course I’ll help!”

"S-sorry---I mean..." Mot coughed into his hand. He was awful quick to apologize. he even almost apologized for apologizing.
Hel's encouraging words brought a bashful smile to Mot's face, turning a little red again. "I'm happy to hear you say that." Mot said with a short laugh.
That made him wonder though.. "Have you ever.. had a boilfriend before?" If it wasn't already glaringly obvious, Mot had never had a ghoulfriend, or boilfreind for that matter. He didn't mind if Hel did or not. Her past was her past. Still, if she was on another level than himself, he had some catching up to do.

Hel leveled a flat stare at Mot, and then had to turn away again as she half snorted and half giggled. She reached up to lightly nudge him with her elbow before looking back at him again. Such a silly boil, apologizing for everything!
“Well…I’m happy that you’re happy.” She murmured in return, before blushing a bit more, and rubbing the back of her neck. “…Ah…no…I have not.” Mot was the first. “…Um…there were plenty of boils around back home but…ah…when you have eight older sisters you...get overlooked…besides! I was too busy training anyways.” Totally. “…So…” Hel started, “You have never…ah…been kissed here?” She pointed at her bottom lip. She was just curious! If he freaked out as much as he did, the answer was probably no…but accidents happen?

Mot couldn't help but smile at Hel's excuse for not having a boilfriend. Training, well, it was probably true. Still, "Those boils don't know what they were missing." And now Hel was all his.
Her question recieved a soft shake of his head. "No. Yourself?" No previous boil friends didn't mean no previous kisses, right? Perhaps they were both a novice at this sort of thing..

Ahhh! Mot saying all these nice things and her stomach doing crazy things…Hel brought a hand to rest on her stomach as her cheeks reddened.
As the questioned was turned back on her, the reaper glanced at him and then gave a soft shake of her head as well. “No…I haven’t either…” Woah…so…both of them? How…interesting. The ghoul lingered on this thought for a moment longer before she then resumed packing away the food. “…What…am I allowed to do, Mot?” She questioned softly.

So, they were both novices then. That actually was a mixed blessing. They could share firsts, but at the same time, Mot felt like he was walking blind.
Hel's question was met with the reaper furrowing his brows in minor confusion. "What are..." He understood soon after, making a sound of understanding as his brows lifted. He hummed thoughtfully, eyes casting sideways. "Um.. you say allowed to do but.." He scratched his neck and looked down at the ghoul again. "I don't mind if you want to push my comfort zone a little bit. Although.." Mot had a thought then. Something important he wanted to make clear.
"Um.. the first kiss though.. maybe it's selfish but.. could you let me initiate it? When I'm ready, that is." That was the boil's job, in his mind. He wanted to be the one to give Hel that first. The reaper thought about what he'd just asked and turned beet red, his features twisting into an expression of embarrassment. "Ah.. how awkward of me to discuss it like that.."

Hel tilted her head in Mot’s direction, listening intently. So…he didn’t really have any set standards for her, huh? Well…that was more than fine! She seemed pleased at the ‘push his comfort zone’ comment, but turned her attention to him fully when he seemed to want to discuss something. She snapped the lid shut on another container, and then turned to face him a bit.
At his ‘proposition’ though, Hel just stared.
How…awkward to talk about it like that. But at the same time…Mot’s boldness about the subject (despite how awkward) was rather amusing and endearing…so Hel? She was impressed…and amused. Definitely amused, especially when Mot turned red and caught on to how odd he sounded. This seemed to take a weight off of her shoulders as well. So…she just needed to wait on him? She could do that. She’d wait, and be pushing his comfort zone while waiting…that was a fair trade in her mind. Hel snorted, bringing her good hand up to her mouth….and then just laughed. She laughed for a good long while, her shoulders shaking, until it eventually calmed, and she just beamed up at him.
“…Say ah…” She made a come down here gesture. He was so tall, after all!

Hel was laughing. Laughing. Laughing at him.
Being laughed at was devastating at first, but he couldn't help but laugh as well. He'd been awkward, and laughing it off was best. The laughed died down, and Mot rubbed at his eyes, clearing any stray tears that had welled from laughing so hard at himself.
Say...ah? Mot blinked, staring down at the ghoul who seemed to want him to come closer. He was.. kind of scared to comply. What did she want? He hesitated.
Hesitated.
"A--ah?" He complied, bending down a bit.

Mot hesitated, and Hel pouted.
Until he complied anyways of course.
The ghoul smiled widely at him, pleased that he was much more in range now, and reached up to brush some of his bangs away from his eyes. Oooh so soft hair! So soft! She patted the top of his head affectionately, still smiling innocently at him, and her hand slid down to cup his cheek. She leaned then, and pressed a kiss to his chin.

Mot was feeling a mite awkward. The hair petting confused him, and he just wasn't sure what she was-----
Fizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz------
His brain shut down. Well, he had given permission to push his comfort zone. It didn't mean he'd deal with it well. Somewhere within the zombie of Mot, a warm fuzzy tingle began to peak in his heart. That part of him loved that little peck on the chin.
The rest of him treated it like a 404 error.

That made Hel happy, that she could still do this like that, even if Mot was rendered zombie like for the moment again. Her hand moved to pat the top of his head affectionately again, and then turned to collect all the dishes. She then brought them all over to the sink, and while Mot was stunned?
Hel did the dishes.

Mot could hear the ocean!
Swoosh~ Swoosh~ Ffshhhhh~ Since when was Amity near a large body of water like...
Wait.. It took a while, but Mot came back from his zombie like state, straightening up and looking around. W...where did Hel go--- 8|
"H-hey.." Mot pouted, staring down at Hel's back as she was.. basically almost done the dishes. Sneaky, tricky...

“Is for skeletal horses ~ !” Hel returned, finishing off the last dish and placing it off to the side as she rubbed her hand on a nearby towel.
She turned now, to face the cowboil, and leaned against the counter, grinning widely. “What is that saying, Motty? Ah…hmmm…” Hel tapped her chin, and then snapped her fingers. “Oh yes…all is fair in love and war.”
