Yǐn Cáng was just starting to stretch, his back popping almost gleefully, when he felt her grab his wrist. He had not really expected to go into the demon dorms, and now that he was here he had not been expecting to go inside a sauna a ghoul's room.
"M-Miss!" he protested, though it was easily lost. She apparently wanted him to help her pick out an outfit? What was there to pick? Pants, shirt, he actually looked at what she was wearing, and noted in horror the sports bra and shorts.
Even he could help with this.

Danny thumbed through her closet, suddenly embarrassed of her clothing. None of this really seemed "romantic." Most of what she owned had skulls and bones on it; nothing was really cute or flirty or heartsy like in the movies.
"So whatcha think?" she asked. Tugging her hair lightly, she admitted, "Wh-what would you want to see on a ghoul? I d-don't really know how to look nice." It was true. Danny had no ghoulish advice. Should she maybe have asked Bea for advice on this? Maybe. But who would know what a boil wanted better than a boil?
There was also the matter of hair and makeup. Danny didn't own anything but hair ties, and there certainly wasn't any makeup around here. Maybe Rikki would just like her the way she was? Probably not. Didn't most boils like things that were dolled up?

The first thing that the weremantis did, after forcing himself to view this as a mission, was push aside anything that would not cover more than undergarments. Left with very little else to work with he began to look in earnest. He found things that he did not even know why they existed. He was looking for something silky, with nice flowery patterns. Most were either extremely loose, extremely short, or had some form of lace that bothered his skin where it touched. He finally managed to find an okay shirt, and held it out for inspection. "This shirt appears pleasing."

Danny stared at Yin Cang with a completely straight face. Even if she wanted a boil's opinion, there was was no way in Halloween she was wearing that thing. "Ick no," was all she said, brushing it aside like that.
The fire demonness held up her own idea of a cute ensemble, which was really just another tight fitting shirt with more shorts and another jacket. Danny clearly had no idea how to dress herself.
Certainly, it was a lot better than what she normally would have picked out for herself, but it definitely wasn't anywhere close to "confession" worthy.

He shook his head. "If I may be so bold Miss Danny I believe you are trying to dress up. One does not typically wear..." so little "an outfit such as the one you are holding. It may seem like a good choice but it does not feel special."Yǐn Cáng held out what he believed to be a shirt, not knowing that it was actually a mini dress. "What about this?

All Danny could think was gosh you talk funny. The ENTIRE time he talked, Danny just filtered it out into those four words. It was so proper! She did at least hear the last part about how her choice didn't feel special. Did Yin have some sort of magical feeling abilities? That was weird. How could he feel it without even touching it ...
Then he was holding up a new dress for her. Danny scrunched up her nose. Having to where dresses for two weeks had made her sick of the things. "Blech no," she said, "No dresses." Waving her hands, she showed that she definitely protested.

The weremantis' eyes widened in dismay. "This is not long enough to be a dress." Still he hung the top back up in the closet.
It appeared that what he approved of she did not, so he pulled out two tops that did not reveal everything that the ghoul had to offer. "One of these?"

Danny looked at him funny. "Of course its a dress. Way too long for a shirt!" This was coming from a ghoul who mostly wore belly shirts and tank tops. Definitely not a very ... lady-like ghoul. Don't have a heart attack yet Yin.
As she looked through the choices Yin offered, she shook her head. Nothing he picked seemed to feel right, and nothing she picked was good enough for him. Danny was glad she had brought along this boil! He would definitely help her pick out a good outfit.
"What about this?" she questioned, holding up a black tank top for the boil to see. It was somewhat in the same fashion as the dress the boil had just been holding up, and it seemed to have sort of the same feeling. Danny smiled like she had actually done some good.

The mantodae eyed the top critically. It had no sleeves, but it did have a bit of frill and should at least cover her torso. He gave a quick nod. "I believe that top would be fitting for a young lady."It was not perfect, but sometimes compromises had to be made. "Perhaps a skirt might be a good accompaniment?" He held out a longish sort of garment, well long for this wardrobe. It would probably hit the ghoul's knees. "With a nice pair of shoes?" He reached down to grab a pair of sandals, oddly formed strappy things that he had no idea how would go on a foot, or actually noticing the heels. Because of course no one would have anything in their closet that they would not wear.

"BLECHHHHHHHH," Danny grunted at the idea of a skirt. Anything longer than mid-thigh was going to be shot in the fabric with a fireball. Which Danny promptly did to the shirt. Unfortunately for her rage, all of her clothes were fireproof anyways.
She thought that Yin had a pretty good idea with the whole skirt idea, but Danny wanted something a bit more fun, and a lot shorter. She held up a rather plaid miniskirt that barely went past her mid-thigh. "What about this? This?"
Looking at the shoes he held up, Danny was not impressed. Out of all of her shoes (which, really just consisted of one pair of work converse, and one pair of dress converse), he had to go and pick that pair? Danny shook her head immediately.

"Well," he stared at the slightly offensive garment. "Plaid is nice?"
It was not. It really was not. Why on Halloween did people mix such awful colors in lines? But he could not simply tell her that everything in her closet was inappropriate or hideous.
So he lied. Lying was okay if it was for a good cause, right? A small thrill raced through him. He was lying to a ghoul. "And these shoes?" He held up the slightly nicer pair of converse, the only other pair of shoes he could see.

Now Danny was stupid, but she wasn't clueless when it came to facial expressions. Even she could tell the boil was not on board with the plaid miniskirt. "You don't have to agree with me!" she said, socking him playfully on the arm again. He was going to have a bruise soon.
The shoes she approved of, but then, she approved of all her converse. They had really made a royal mess of her closet by now, and Danny's bed was covered from head to toe in clothing options. Even if this was considered "ghouly," for Danny it was rebellious. She didn't often break out of her tomboil character; doing something ghouly felt dangerous in the same way that Yin felt lying to her.
With a sigh she said, "I'll figure something out I guess." Scratching her head, she felt very out of place. There was definitely something she was forgetting. Hmmm.
Glancing around the room, she realized what was gone. A Rabo! "Oh that's right! You wanted a Rabo, right?" Was she editing the past? Maybe.

Yǐn Cáng tried to move with the blow, but he was not expecting it. He had to admit, the ghoul had a good arm on her. He was already pulling out two more skirts, but these he stared at, stunned that they exist. The first one first one was so tiny it could barely pass for a garment. The second one actually had a nice skull pattern, but was also much too short. He looked at her, slightly distracted. "I apologize Miss Danny, but I do not know what a rabo is."

Danny actually rather liked the first skirt, but Yin's disapproving look told her that was a no-no. With a frown, she realized that they had gone through most of her clothing already. Was nothing special enough for their rendez-vous?
Still, Danny clapped her hands excitedly. "Ooooh. A Rabo is a box with a thingy inside and it wiggles and then you get a fox and then yeah." Easily the most eloquent thing Danny had ever said.
She abruptly stood up and slithered over to the giant impending pile of Rabo doom sitting in the corner. Danny swore she had given a lot of these away, but it seemed as though the pile had mysteriously replenished itself ...
"Hmmmm," she debated, "You can have ... this one!" She held out a box for him, with a tag simply marked with a name.

When she returned eyed the box suspiciously. This was not a mark of any sort, nothing to claim him. She had someone else for that. It would be rude not to take it.
Still, foxes were nice. "It smells good?" Yǐn Cáng offered, and reached out to take the box. It was not until it was in his hands that it hit him. "Is this one of those...minipets?" He barely held it with his fingertips as if not fully trusting it.
