It was apparent it was a dream by several factors, Mot was sleeping on the blanket that had been laid down, Hel and Riyo were behaving themselves as they chatted among themselves and Shun had made a light laughing noise to something Xiu had said. The smile he had wasn't so much a dream to Mitsu though it might have been strange for Xiu to see. Yes, this was the lycan's little dream world with more of her friends interacting the background...a complete delusion.> As Mitsu continued to sleep she let out a soft sigh, her body fairly relaxed. It seemed that nothing terrible was happening at the moment as she dreamed peacefully.

"Oh..."
This hadn't quite been what Xiu had been expecting. The scene was...not horrifying in the least, but she had a feeling that it would warp with time. Perhaps if she managed to make Mitsu aware before that happened, they could avoid switching into the nightmare scene? Maybe she could--
--Did Shun just laugh and smile. Xiu stared at the reaper blankly, momentarily forgetting what it was that she was supposed to be doing here. Surely Shun had not just smiled. This must have been some kind of dream--
--Oh yeah.
Xiu eyed her dream-self who was present, and then looked over to Mitsu. Would Mitsu notice if there were two Xius here? Sometimes a dreamer could ignore the most illogical things in a dream, so it wasn't unlikely, but the baku decided that she would try to take advantage of the current situation.
Moving up to Mitsu, she smiled and gave a little wave, careful to ensure that the dream Xiu was visible behind her.

Movement caught her attention and Mitsu looked up to see Xiu approaching. The dream Xiu was seated directly across from her but she didn't seem to notice. Instead she smile and waved at the new approaching Xiu, before waving for her to join them. No, having two Xiu's was not strange at all. " Hi, Xiu!" Mitsu chirped happily. The scene was still normal but the sky was changing color, it looked to be turning the color of flames. It seemed to be a little warmer too but nothing out of the ordinary just yet.>

Hmm, looked that that didn't work. Perhaps if she stood right beside the dream Xiu so that Mitsu was made aware that there were two of them? The baku grinned at her friend, reaching out to give her a hug in greeting before she pulled away and stepped back until she was standing directly behind the dream Xiu.
Mitsu would probably notice this now...but again, people had a tendency of brushing off strange things in dreams.
Whatever the case, Xiu hoped that she would managed to make the lycan aware soon. Her gaze zipped up to the sky, and she noted with a little shudder that the setting was already warping. Before long, she had a feeling that there was going to be a fire. If at all possible, she wanted to spare her friend from living through such a scenario. If at all possible, Xiu wasn't going to get it happen while she was here.

Suddenly though her smile faded a bit, her head tilting in confusion. It was easy to see her mind at work, something wasn't quite right. She stared at Xiu hard an in her concentration the scene around her grew still. All except the sky and the sensation of heat. The cracking of burning wood was faintly familiar in the distance but so far was not in sight.
"Xiu....." Mitsu started looking between the two. "Have you changed your hair?" She was somehow rationalizing her illogical dream. Somehow.. All the while the fire was drawing closer, the first hint of flames lighting up between the trees.>
In her sleep Mitsu began to shift and actually grow slightly warm to the touch. She didn't look to be in any sort of discomfort though, merely moving around.

Xiu noticed this light--oh, did she ever--and she felt her heartbeat pick up slightly. While she wouldn't actually get hurt by anything that happened in this dream, that didn't make it any less frightening. Come on, Xiu! Think of something! She hesitated, wondering just how straight-forward she could be without shattering the dream. Deciding to test this out, the baku shook her head no to Mitsu's question.
"No, I didn't do anything to my hair, but..." Turning to face the dream Xiu, she frowned and pointed. "Mitsu...this is weird. Why are there two of me? That doesn't make any sense." Hopefully she would pick up on it and realize that something was wrong!
And if not...hopefully there would be little details that she could pick and point out.

T..two..." The extra people in the background began to vanish one by one, though Mitsu didn't seem to notice. She was so focused on the problem, and apparently the fire, that her mind couldn't keep up with the extra images.
She stared at Xiu though her attention was suddenly divided as the flames drew closer. Fear began to fill her eyes as the fire danced closer closing in around them until there was only a small circle of safety with Mitsu, real Xiu, dream Xiu, and a hand full of others.
"I..I don't." Mitsu looked panicked but just as soon as realization dawned on her, she looked back and the scene began to crack. Dream Xiu shattered like glass and cracks began to form along the ground and the fire froze around them like it was part of a picture. For a moment, a short moment, it seemed like Mitsu was trying to gain control, but before she could the dream broke and her mind was forced back to reality.>
Mitsu had started to toss a little in her sleep, though nothing extreme. Her temperature had started to rise like she had a fever, her face set in a frown. Before too long she was jarred awake, though thanks to the tea her eyes opened wide for a moment, had just begun to clear and see the room around her before they felt heavy again and started to fall.
Her head lolled to the side as her eyes shut closed, her tense muscles relaxing as she was out once again. It was hard to say how long this cycle would last but at least she didn't have to fight to get back to sleep.

Since he just had to wait right now, Shun was just relaxing, watching over Mitsu and Xiu. When she started to move, he looked down at her, wondering what was going on in her sleep. He didn't really think much of it until she began to toss and turn a bit, followed by a spike in her body temperature. However before he could do anything about it, she had awoken.
Furrowing his brow, he lightly stroked her hair, trying to get her to relax again. It looked like she was about to fall back asleep without the need for more tea, so he sat by, trying to soothe her.

Shoot. Too sudden? Xiu flinched suddenly as she found herself back in her body, sent out of the dream due to Mitsu's awakening. "Not going to be an easy task." She murmured aloud, looking towards Shun and Mitsu to see how they were doing. Looked like the ghoul was falling back to sleep. "But then again, I didn't expect it to be."
Alright, round two. Closing her eyes again, the baku went through the same steps until she found herself back in her friend's dream.

They were back at the canyon, Mitsu's mind able to piece together some of the smaller details though the canyon itself still seemed distorted. The monstrous Red stood by, swiping at students and hunters alike. It wasn't long before the scene played out much like it had in real life. The color drained away from their Professor before she seemingly turned to stone, frozen against the canyon wall.
The Death Hunter, Cael had charged the statue with his scythe crumbling it to dust. Now all that was left were Hunters, Mitsu and Shun. The hunters advanced on them, and quickly they found themselves overrun. Mitsu was thrown to the ground and pinned but Shun still stood trying to fight them off.
"SHUN RUN!" Mitsu screamed at the top of her lungs. She could see the Death Hunter approaching the reaper and his current fight. Somehow Mitsu knew what was going to happen, she knew what was going to play out. He needed to leave but he wouldn't heed her call.>

Shun soon noticed that Mitsu was beginning to fidget quite a bit in her sleep. Frowning, he ran his hand through her hair, trying to get her to calm down somehow. Along with that, he leaned in and gently planted a kiss onto her temple.
"Calm down.. You're safe," he whispered, not sure if she could hear him at all. It was worth a short anyway, "I'm here.."

Oh, not this scene.
It was Mitsu's dream, but Xiu had relived this scene multiple times in her own mind--not as a nightmare, but just as something that had plagued her for a good week or so before she finally managed to focus on something else. She watched with a grimness as the everything went by as it had in the real incident--the draining of color, Red turning to stone, Caelius swinging with his scythe...
And now he was advancing on Shun.
But the difference here was that this was just a dream, and so Xiu was in her own element. When Caelius head towards Shun, the baku immediately moved to stand between them, her gaze focusing on the Hunter. She stared at him, and gave a silent order: disappear.
Hopefully this would double as a way for Mitsu to notice something off as well.

Mitsu had been about to yell at Xiu to run as well, she didn't want to ghoul to get caught up in the fray of things but suddenly she had said something to the hunter and without warning the hunter was gone. Slowly the scene began to slow, Mitsu's eyes wide as she stared at the place where Cael had been. Had Xiu just killed him? Mitsu's eyes grew even wider when she heard Shun's voice but not from the direction of the reaper who was still fighting but much slower now. No, the voice was all around them. Calm down
you're safe
I'm here..She did calm, despite being pinned down. Her eyes took on a less frightened look as she tried to take in what was going on around her. She was still trying to make sense of the scene.> Mitsu's wiggling had started to subside, her muscles were still a little tense in her sleep but she was slowly starting to relax back into the reaper's hold.

Perhaps what he had done helped. Shun let out a small sigh at this. He continued to lightly pet the girl, but for now he had fallen silent again.

Xiu determined that this was definitely a power that she needed to hone and practice--perhaps someday she would be able to do more than just make things disappear and unlock. But until then...
Moving towards Mitsu, the baku set on unpinning her. "Are you alright?" She wished that she could warp the scene, but unfortunately, her power had not grown to that extent quite yet. However, perhaps she could take advantage of the calm while it still lasted. Let's see, what to use?
What about the dust from the dream Red's skull? It seemed morbid, but she reminded herself that it was just a dream. Moving towards the ashes, she picked up a handful and let it seep through her fingers and back onto the ground, drawing a circle with a single dot along the edge. She took care to ensure that the dot was positioned closest to where she was standing, and then--patting off her hands--she tried to catch Mitsu's attention.
"Hey Mitsu, come look at this please?" Her intention was for her friend to observe the circle and dot, look away, and then look back. In most cases, Xiu had noticed that the dot would have moved when the dreamer looked back the second time.
Hopefully this attempt would garner better results than the previous one!
