Nope. Savior was not going to go into playing this little tantrum game and she continued to push Thackery back with her feet. Her legs were starting to ache though from not being moved properly, if such a thing were possible.

For whatever reason, Thackery let her continuously push him farther and farther back. He feared that they would soon be pressed up against the wall, and that could potentially be both very strange and a very bad thing for him, because he would be the one who was pinned.
He attempted to firmly plant himself in his current location, and proceeded to make some sort of exaggerated, half-punch, half-chopping motion, landing the blow of whatever-it-was against her shoulder.

He was so cute when he was getting angry, that much Savior thought of Thackery, and she patted his head almost entirely forgetting that she was supposed to be showing him how to do kicks. Maybe all of this was because she had clothing on?
Perhaps if Savior took the clothes back off she'd be able to fight better.

PETTING.
Thackery stopped everything, closed his eyes, and wagged his tail, basking in the quick little pat. It took a few moments after she had stopped for his eyes to finally open again, slowly, as if expecting her to pet him again.
She wasn't.
This was embarrassing. And not a proper fight response.

A wide, contented grin took over Thackery's frustrated expression, his eyes closing again as she returned to the petting. Yess this was far better than kicking each other. He tilted his head so her fingers would scratch against his ear, his tail wagging so fiercely that if he'd thought to turn and use it as a weapon, it might be actually painful.
But he couldn't think, because petting.

Insert more petting here, because Savior was being super amused by the looks and reactions she was getting from Thackey. Maybe if this kept up she'd want to be his friend and he could be her pet.
Or something.

Savior was quickly becoming one of Thackery's favorite ghouls. The battle had taken a truly bizarre direction, but he could care less. He was clearly feeling true euphoria, holding his hands up as if they were paws, fingers curled towards his palms like tiny puppy toes. Clearly, the line between humanoid-Thackery and Cerberus-Thackery was beginning to blur a bit too much; as a result, he tried to roll over to allow her to scratch his tummy.
But he was standing, and his battle opponent was still standing in front of him. He fell against her, sending the both of them tumbling to the floor. Perhaps the worst part was that he'd made the petting stop, and that he was in no position to have a bellyrub.
He blinked bleary eyes. "Ohh...sorry."

In an effort to get the dog off her now (Savior didn't like being smooshed) she accepted the apology before kicking him off. Her foot caught him on the stomach and launched him in the air so that didn't really hurt. It was the landing that had to hurt and Savior pushed herself to her feet, dusting her back and legs off.
Was the battle back on, or did the boil want more pats?

Before he had any more time to react, Thackery found himself tumbling backwards. He hit the floor (again) with an oof and rubbed his hip where he'd struck the hard surface.
"What!? How can you go from...from...to that!" He was very evidently more upset that he'd stopped receiving attention than anything else. Had he been logical about the situation, he would have been glad that it was coming around to an actual "battle" again, because that's what he'd come here for.
He lunged towards her, clinging to her for balance, and actually did try to bite. Her skin against her teeth was extremely uncomfortable, and he reeled backward, pressing his thumb against one of his pointed canines.

So what did Savior do after being bitten by the dog? Did she smack him away and tell him bad? Of course not, it was a puppy!
Savior decided to pat him on the head again, even though for some reason she was feeling beaten up and tired. Silly puppy.

And they were back to an intermission. Thackery lost all appearance of being annoyed, his tail began to wag again, and his ears perked happily. He was once again melting in to puppy putty, and he placed the idea of lashing out at her back on the shelf. Maybe in a minute, just another minute...

Savior continued to pet the little puppy, though she accidentally might have turned into a scratchy-scratchy instead of a pat pat with her claws, though it wasn't too hard of a skritch.
Maybe Thackery wouldn't mind and Savior wouldn't have to feel bad.

Thackery didn't mind, but his reflexes were not as kind. The Cerberus stood there in a daze until she accidentally scritched too hard; at the involuntary injury, he snapped at her hand. Instead of apologizing again, he just stared at her with wide eyes. He was potentially more alarmed than she might be at his response.
He was going to have to work on his hot-and-cold reactions to petting, Jack be damned.
