Entering for the Frightening Female username: vballlvr5 Mares name: Ariadne - name of girl in greek myth that was the daughter of King Minos of Crete; aided Theseus in overcoming the Minotaur Temper:Progressive Her story:Ariadne smiled demurely at the audience that had gathered to hear her story for never did she tire of sharing it. With the air of royalty she began in her trilling tone to weave the story of her coat. "In ancient times there was a lovely angeni, whose domain was weaving," for superstitious reasons she did not mention the ageni's name "In that time a great evil force had just been defeated with the help a young mare. The angenis were so thankful that several offered to assist all those that had fought, and it was to the mare that this ageni promised to. Now" she said meaningfully, "the mare was greedy and quite cunning and she had the angeni bind herself to this promise. Once bound the angeni asked what her wish would be. The mare had thought it over and had decided upon her wish, though for effect she pretended as though she didn't know yet. And she responded as if it was off the top of her head 'I wish to have as great as talent as you in weaving.' It was quite understandable that she would wish as much for the love of her llife would not accept her as she had nothing to offer. With great skill she could offer him all it would give. Yet this was a foolish wish," Ariadne added wisely. "The angeni could not deny the wish, but could interpret it however she wished. With the mare she was so horrified and furious that she coursed the mare with the talent, turning her into a spider, which was a fairly new creature as of then. The mare's wish had been granted yet, it did not turn out how she wished it would." "No matter how beautiful a deisgn she wove, it would only be swept away and her love paid no greater attention to her, if possible he paid her less and soon married. Needless to say it was not the mare. So devasted was she that she sewed her mouth closed with her silk and died soon after of a broken heart. The angeni then felt pity on the girl she had cursed, but of course it was too late, but as an act of kindness she created many more spiders that would have her weaving talent and could spread the word of the poor unfortunate soul." Ariadne had quickly finshed her tale, all the while keeping about composure and grace, though the crowd had gone extremely quiet each contemplating the horrible fate that the mare had recieved. Ariadne for one wasn't sure if the story could have even be true, but perhaps angeni then had stronger powers. Regardless the mare did not have much time to think as she was shaken out of her reverie by the loud applause of the crowd. She gracefully stood and good mannerly blushed and proceeced to exi the circle. Well, ther was always another story telling to contemplate the mare and the angeni powers, for now Ariadne would just enjoy the festivities.

Entering for the Frightening Female username: shyanimegrl Mares name: Evisel Temper: Elusive His story:A soft-pink colored mare once came across a one-of-a-kind lagoon. Gossamer spun by constantly weaving spiders hung on the branches of trees around its waters and the light of the fireflies that circled the area would cause the water and webs‘ threads to shine in reflection of the glows and also illuminate the surfaces of other things like the many leaves, stones, and lily pads, and bones. The colors in this place are also quite bizarre since the whole place seems to be in shades of light to dark and darker red. Also, there is a mysterious and enticing current in the water. For some unknown reason, the fluid swirls and this mare that had ventured into this place by chance was drawn to the gentle whirling in the water and entered as far as chest deep. And that’s when an alligator lunged at her and ripped out her heart. Perhaps her bones joined those on the shore, perhaps so if her body had slowly washed back to land. There are a number of possible aftermaths for all her remains. Her blood quite certainly had mixed with the red waters of this place. And this question, too, remains unanswered: Is this mare’s ghost luring more victims or warning of the danger of the lagoon when she appears there?

Entering for the Spooky Stallion username: CheshireKttty Stallions name: Kieran Temper: Distant His story:"Gather round; gather round everyone, to hear the tale of Kieran the shadow cat. It is said that in a small Kawani village not so different from this one, there lived a spirit touched black cat. Some called him shadow, others named him a phantom, and a few even named him Kieran. It was said that to go near the cat was to bring bad luck upon you and your family. The cat lived within the village for a week, hunting mice and rats to feed himself and occupy his time. Whenever he came round children and grown adults alike would run and hide themselves away in their teepees. Even the soquili were wary of him, they kept their distance. One night, not long after the shadow cat appeared in the village, a scream was heard throughout the village. Many came running at once, a few even said they saw a small black shadow running of into the distance. It was discovered that a man had been killed in his sleep. Whatever had done it to him, appeared to have claws and tore him to bits. Another week later the incident occurred again. And then again. One by one, the villagers were killed off in their beds. Always they were killed in the same manner, and always they appeared to be missing a finger. Fed up with the attacks, the old wise woman called upon the spirits, they spoke to her of a phantom cat, one who got his power from the bone necklace her wore about his neck. “Destroy the necklace, destroy the menace.” It told her. The next morning, the villagers went in search of Kieran, and instead, they found a skinwalker, wearing a necklace of bone round it’s neck. Luckily, the villagers had happened upon him while he was sound asleep. Quickly they removed the necklace and destroyed it. They watched as the walker became a cat once more, and then vanished into the air as the necklace was destroyed. Delighted, the Villagers rejoiced and celebrated with a feast the next morning. Unbeknownst to them, that perhaps that which they destroyed, might not be gone forever...." The soquili allowed his words to trail off, leaving the crowd in silence.
