The grown man pouted in silence. The sooner this was finished up with, the better. Seth seemed seriously intent on doing his job right now - especially if he wasn't allowing himself to get riled up over Izaya's casual remarks. How boring.
Ouch. Seth's biting comment was adding insult to injury - literally, in fact. The black-haired man made no indication of this, however, except to glare at the wall across from him. Okay, so he couldn't say he didn't deserve it. That didn't make it hurt any less.
Upon hearing what Seth had to read, however, Izaya blinked in confusion. What on earth was she - oh. It must have been from that time. He wasn't sure what 'stone' she was talking about since he didn't see the necklace Seth had pulled out - it could have been a diamond for all the grunt knew - but he knew he didn't want it. Nothing more to remind him of Aila.
"It'd be a shame to separate the chain from the pendent," he murmured off-handedly, not wanting them to realize what his true reason for rejecting the stone was. "Besides, I think jewelry suits Asch better than myself. He seems the sort to covet sentimental keepsakes of the past, anyway." The red-head seemed to enjoy living in the past, unlike the informant.
"Is that all, Executive?"

Seth raised a brow at Izaya's denial of the pendant, but it seemed that Aila had expected as much, so he didn't argue the point. Instead he looked to Asch, who looked understandably irritated at Izaya's remarks.
"I'll take it, sir" he muttered, trying to refrain from glaring at Izaya's backside. Holding out his hand and letting Seth place the jewelry in his palm.
"For you, yes," Seth responded to the pouting grunt. However, he wasn't done with Asch yet.
The executive then pulled out a rapier and held it out for Asch to take. "The will also said you would know what to do with this."
The red head's severe expression softened a bit as he took the sword, never again to be used by its original owner. "Yes, sir."
Seth didn't really care to linger here, but he did indeed want to get this over with. "And finally... Parlez-vous français?"
Asch blinked in surprise as the executive spoke to him in his native language. "Oui, monsieur."
Seth nodded and then placed a pokeball in his hand as well. "Good. She also requested a letter to be sent to her brother. That is her courier bird. It only speaks French."
"Yes, sir," Asch replied.
The agent was starting to sound like a broken record player. But with his mission accomplished, Seth grunted his approval and left the room wordlessly, leaving Asch to stand there in stunned silence.

When Seth stated he was done with him, Izaya shifted, thinking at last he'd get some peace. But no, he and Asch carried on as if he weren't there, making the grunt feel pointedly left out. Despite what he liked to pretend, he was a lot more human than he wanted to feel. "Can't you two take this somewhere else? I thought I told you I'm trying to sleep," he complained loudly over his shoulder.
Upon doing so, however, he glimpsed the rapier. Huh. He hadn't realized Aila had known how to fence. Or fight or whatever sort of training she had done with it. He knew rapiers were primarily meant for stabbing, but he supposed that's not all they were good for. Not that he cared. He preferred his switchblade any day, but that was gone now. He'd have to find the replacement flick blade he kept in his room later.
At the use of French, Izaya glared at the pair of French-speakers. He stuck out his tongue, having no idea what they were saying, before piping up, "Oh yeah? Well Seth-kun and I have out own intimate mother tongue to use for private conversations." His voice indicated a childish jealousy, perhaps referring to the previous point Izaya had made concerning Asch's and Aila's prior use of their mother tongue. The grunt looked at Seth. "Wareware wa, Sesu-kun, nai nodesu ka?" (我々は、セスくん、ないのですか?)
But Seth had already left, it seemed. Alone again. Well, almost. "...You seem surprised," he said at last when Asch didn't seem to have any intention of moving. "I'm sure she thought of you and others as her friends too...even if she didn't explicitly say so. I think she just had to give me an official declaration because she knew it would piss me off," he hissed darkly. "Well? Are you finished? Happy now? Go away." No more talk about Aila. No, no, no.

Asch seemed rather unfazed as Izaya spoke to Seth in Japanese. He didn't know what he said, and frankly didn't care. However, as Izaya spoke to him again, the boy's green gaze turned towards the older man.
No, Aila had never called him friend, but then he'd never said the same of her either. It was a shame, but nothing could be changed now. But yes, he was surprised she'd wanted him to have anything of hers, although leaving the rapier to him made sense.
Frowning, Asch's gaze remained on Izaya for a few moments longer, even after told to go away. In the same manner as Seth, Asch left the room in silence. He would let Izaya wallow in his misery, alone. As he left, the red head shut the door behind him.
