She noticed him looking around and did the same. Any who happened to be looking at them she gave them a menacing glare which promised pain to anyone who didn't look quickly away. Finally satisfied that most had averted their eyes she turned to Attor.
She noticed he'd put something else on his plate and seemed to be able to nibble on that. " I know darlin." What ever had happened had shaken her friend and now she knew it was more then just leaving home. But he did want to hear her play so she'd pick one of her happier ones tonight.
Not carrying what the gossips thought she wrapped an arm around him and gave a small hug before whispering. " When you're ready to talk, you know where to find me." She leaned back over to her plate and finished it off. You didn't beat the daylights out of some one on a regular basis without getting to know them and the person she said bye to last year was gone.
" Well as soon as you're done we can head down to the common room." Her mind was racing with song possibilities and she thought maybe she'd start with a comedy song. Something upbeat and silly. Granted that meant she'd have to sing but she didn't care anymore, it was worth the others hearing her.

Attor smiled a little at Vonali knowing she was shooing off the few still looking at them. With eyes gone Attor was able to finish what was on his plate before attempting a little more. As he ate the pain and turns in his stomach seemed to calm down as it accepted having something in it.
Attor looked at Vonali, though last year he considered her a friend she hadn't made it to his very small trusted list consisting only of Clover and Tynan. But now all the care she was showing him, he was sure he could talk to her about things. She would certainly be moved to close friend in his mind now. For now though he would leave it at that some food and music sounded like a better time with Von then telling her about his father trying to kill him.
"Ok I....I might take you up on that Vonali...later..."
"I think this is all I can manage without throwing up..." Attor said getting up from the table yet sneaking a biscuit into his pocket for later. "Let's go to the common room."
