Anya nodded at the three then took a deep breath, mentally reminding herself that it would be better to let them know now than to have them find out the hard way and panic later.
"If monsters are what you be wary of, I would say I could be lumped into the same category. Some years ago, as I was approaching Sybak, I was attacked by a werewolf. I had received a bite in the tussle, however, and thus became inflicted with the curse that turns me into one of them." She moved a hand up to her collar, this time consciously, to show the others the identification tag that bore the insignia of the Sybak Laboratories. "Fortunately, I was found and taken in by the scientists in Sybak. They taught me how to make the potion that prevents me from going feral after I transform, so I believe that me turning on anyone would hardly be an issue.
Since them, I've volunteered to work for them as they search for ways to develop a cure for this condition. And that is why I am here. Their experiments with silver and wolfsbane treatments have been unfruitful up to now, so they are at a standstill. I have been tasked to search this forest for any evidence that points to a cure, seeing that it's where these strange monsters that have been terrorizing the world seem to come from."
Anya made a soft sigh after concluding her story, falling silent to await the others' reactions. She had one more question to ask, should these reactions be fairly favorable.

The man in white simply signed indifference. He cared not whether she was mortal, elf, or beast. Any who helped defeat the witch was welcome in his group. He looked to the others, wondering how they would react.

After hearing the elf's story, The girl fell silent, as if she was thinking of something...She finally spoke up in a soft voice. "So...You're infected?" She backed away slightly, however then, turned her attention back to the elf. "Im sorry...I treated you, as if you were a demon, but...I had no idea..." She finally looked at the group, feeling as if maybe she could trust them. "My name is Maria, Maria Taurus, ...There isn't much to be said about me...I'm just an orphan, I was taught how to wield any blade, Swords, daggers, dirks, Elbow blades, all kinds of weapons. I came here...Cause I wanted to find out what happened...To my family, Were they killed? are they monsters now? or are they still alive? I was hoping I could find the answer here..." She stared at the other two, requesting that they introduce them selves. "Excuse me sirs... I haven't caught your names... will you please tell me?" She stood there awaiting their response.

Echidnaeus was as stoic as ever, merely raising an eyebrow. "I cannot say I am very happy about that fact. However, it seems that you are not feral." He swept his left arm to the side as if to signify the passing of judgement. "If you are not feral, then are you a monster? That is the real question. I, being more concerned with feral and wicked creatures, am willing to travel with you. It seems that this man is indifferent." He crossed his arms once more. "You may come. Seeking a werewolf cure is also a worthy cause. Perhaps we might eliminate two birds with one proverbial stone, as it were." Since the newcomer, Maria, had not head his introduction, he turned his head and repeated his name. "Echidnaeus."

The man in white looked to the group, signing his name, Meteo Ateras. And if all went well, he'd be able to pronounce it properly for everyone who'd gotten in wrong over the years. But for now, the sound of branches breaking nearby attracted his attention, and both of his hands gripped his blade once more.

Maria stared at the paper, slowly wording the name on the paper. "Met..e..o?" she looked back to everyone and bowed to them, and said: "Anya...Echidaeus...Meteo...Delighted to make your aquatints...
It was when after the introduction, Meteo reached for his sword, alarming Maria, causing her to panic, and hide behind Echidnaeus W-what!?
((That name is hard for me to spell gonk ))

Anya gave the slightest of smiles, relieved that the other three showed no signs of wanting to strike her on the spot. "That is correct, Maria, and it's alright. Given what you seem to have gone through, I can understand why you would react so. I'm sorry to hear that."
She then nodded at Echidnaeus and Meteo. "Thank you. Indeed, perhaps we may accomplish things quickly, even." She was about to proceed to her next question, but was interrupted by the sound of snapping branches. Feeling that they may be facing immediate danger, she decided to save it for later. Looking in the direction of the noise, she prepared her bow.

Echidnaeus nodded at the one who he now knew as Meteo. He also heard the sound, though not quite as clearly as the others. He turned to face in the direction where it had come from. Maria, who had hidden behind him, was ignored for the moment. He raised his fists, holding a long string of prayer beads in his left hand. He did not speak, focusing on finding the source of the sound. He looked around in all directions, in case they were about to be victims of a sneak attack from all directions. He had seen such guerrilla tactics before, and they were horribly effective.

Meteo followed his instincts, turning at the last second to spot their true attackers. Vampires, two of them, and hungry looking too. He readied his blade, praying someone else in the group could see them as well.

"Halt, vampires!" Echidnaeus spun his string of beads around like a lasso with a vengeful look on his face. If looks could kill, what few small wild animals remained in the forest would have died on the spot. He would have hoped that he wasn't traveling with faint-hearted people, but he was in his monster-hunter mode. "You perceive the people as prey- Now you are the prey!" He certainly seemed to believe it- He seemed as if he could turn into a lion and devour them at any second. Of course, that would be easier said than done...

"Soulless bloodsuckers..." Anya whispered under her breath, adding to it a wolfish snarling. After drawing an arrow and pulling back on the string, she backed up to shift her position behind the group, though stood to the side enough so as to not end up accidentally shooting any of her teammates. Before releasing, she would wait until either vampire struck first or until one of her allies landed a blow to keep them too occupied to watch out for her arrows.

Maria quickly noticed the attackers, she snapped out of her fear, and pulled out her two rapiers. "Enemies!" She closed her eyes and began carving a red glyph into the air, then she began giving off a red aura. "I will not die here... Prepare!" She fiercely look to at the vampires, and got in stance, awaiting there action.

Without a moments hesitation the vampires attacked, lashing out with clawed hands at Echidnaeus and Meteo, the closer targets. With quick thinking, Meteo sidestepped his attacker, tripping his foe as he dodged a potentially lethal blow. (Need a roll Evil.)

Echidnaeus didn't hesitate either, evading the vampire's attack with a backward evasive roll. He then immediately rose and lashed out with his string of beads. "Ideal!" While lashing at someone with a string of beads would not normally be an effective counterattack, he was calling upon the power of light. Light flowed through the string toward the "business end". If the attack hit, a ball of light would form there and explode. ((Have a delicious dinner roll. In fact, have 20. Epic roll, mediocre post. Hey, it's late.))

The Vampire attacking Meteo hit the ground hard, standing back up quickly and turning towards Meteo. However, the screams of it's partner forced the beast to turn to see Echidnaeus blast the second vampire away. In the moments that Meteo had to strike, he drew a short wooden stake from inside his armor and jammed it into the beast's heart, an instant kill.
