“Mm. Not too wrong,” Remarque answered; there was a fine line of being full of yourself, and being too full of yourself. Remarque was just the right level of full of himself, in that he couldn’t imagine he thought he was any better than he actually was.
Except, if you asked Remarque what he thought of himself, he’d probably have answered that he was absolutely one of the most perfect, wonderful, amazing person in the whole world and would have meant it, simply because he believed it to be true. No one had proved him wrong, yet, so naturally his ego had done nothing but inflate for the vast majority of his life.
“But you can’t really blame me for that. If you had to describe me in only three words, what would they be?” he prompted; he didn’t shift positions at all, and in the chill of the museum found that he was particularly fond of using Raven’s body as a source of warmth to head himself up.

Leasth closed her eyes for a moment, thinking on this. Three words to describe him? Only three? Huh. They had better be three damn good words.
“Well…You’re cunning, that’s for sure. You’re fantastic at manipulating situations to do what you want them to…You’re strong, that much is easy to see by your muscles..and by the fact that you’re a senshi…and you’re attractive. That one doesn’t need any explanation, I don’t think.
She nuzzled the side of his face then opened her eyes up, giving a small laugh. “Those are the first three that popped into my head. So, take them or leave them.”
She figured that using the word ‘perfect’ would do nothing but show that she might have been a little obsessed with him.

Cunning, strong, and attractive.
That just about covered the basics, so Remarque couldn’t complain. He was always curious to know what others thought of him, albeit even if they thought lowly of him, he didn’t care much. He was quite capable to hear the compliments and ignore the critique, though life was so much easier when everyone was just praising you.
”You think?” he prompted, though it was entirely rhetorical. He was holding her hands with a little more enthusiasm as he continued to sandwich her between the wall. “…I could live with that.”
His lips graced her cheek ever so lightly as he drew away from her ear, though didn’t stay far from her for long; his lips pressed against hers lightly, though there was no denying that he wanted the kiss. He hadn’t asked for permission, nor imagined he needed to; Raven was easy enough to read and he didn’t imagine she’d fight him about it, and if she did? There wasn’t all that much she could do, anyway.
Unless she wanted to slap him again—but, hey. Even if she did, it was kind of worth it.

Kissing. They were kissing! He was kissing her, which made this whole thing all the more amazing.
Lesath closed her eyes and pressed a bit closer, returning the kiss with little hesitation, though pulled away after a moment, grinning. “I suppose this means I answered correct, eh, Remarque?”
Best night of patrolling ever. It was a dream come true. Suddenly, she was much more happy to be in a stuffy old museum, and couldn’t wait to come back some time in the near future. With her boyfriend.
Who cared if he just kissed her. She knew they were dating, if you kiss, you’re dating. All of the kisses in space didn’t count. Darwin didn’t count. Besides, he was far too in love with his school work. Yeah. Jett was her boyfriend.
“Anyway, enough just standing around. Let’s go see that thing you wanted to see, then maybe we can go somewhere else before the night ends.”

Remarque drew away, a smirk on his lips. He dropped her hands and left her leaning against the wall. He held his own hands before him, laced fingers, and then cracked his knuckles before dropping his hands to his side.
If he shared the same romantic ideals about kissing and relationships and dating as Raven, he certainly didn’t show it. There were no lingering glances, no hand holding, no cuddling or longing looks; they had shared a kiss, but to him it wasn’t a promise of anything more. Raven had proved particularly useful in both stroking his ego and had been a wonderful source of warmth by which he’d utilized during the kiss; he felt at least five degrees warmer, now.
And the kiss itself—it wasn’t half bad, either. “All right, we could try for that. We might have time for something if you don’t keep slowing us down, hurry up,” he said, grinning still. He didn’t really wait for her that time, just started walking—determined to see the exhibit before someone did catch them loitering around the place.
