 Piper smiled. "Yay! Thank you again!" She then controlled Solara to leave the village and head back out into the wild, checking the map in the corner for any immediate signs of enemies.

 Justin chuckled a bit as he had Kaidan follow the girl. "Wait up!" He called. He checked themap and spotted a few red dots close to his arrow icon, meaning that they were close to some enemies.He adjusted the camera angle to spot some more Demon Snakes, along with a Nightmare Oak, a living tree monster. A Nightmare Oak is a good opponent for the level 16 Raider, but for Solara, well, she shoud probably stick with the snakes.

Piper saw the red dots on her screen and saw that they were more Demon Snakes as well as a creature called a Nightmare Oak. Piper read its stats and frowned. She probably should not face that at such a low level. Level 1, she thought, sticking her tongue out. At least her experience bar was almost full. She then made Solara charge the closest Demon Snake and attack. She felt much more comfortable with the scimitar and easily fell her opponent, leveling up. "Yes!" Piper said, momentarily forgetting she was wearing the headset.

Justin smiled at his new friend's excitement. He looked over to the Nightmare Oak, then opened his inventory, changing his weapon to a Fire Element flintlock pistol that he enhanced at the alchemy shop. Being a tree, the Nightmare Oak was weak against fire. He had Kaidan take aim and fire at the tree monster. It took only two shots to set the tree ablaze, killing it fast.

Piper collected the gold that her Demon Snake had dropped before moving on to the next one. This one was killed just as easily and dropped a dagger as well as more gold. Piper equipped the dagger to Solara's other hand as she watched Kaidan take down the Nightmare Oak. "Nice weapon," Piper said into her headset before attacking the second-to-last Demon Snake.

Justin fired a shot, killing the last Demon Snake. He collected his gold from the monsters he killed, and also a small axe from the Nightmare Oak. He switched back to his katanas, then looked at Solara. "Not bad. You're off to a good start." He said into the headset.

Piper smiled. "Thanks," she said, picking up the rest of her gold. "I'm not a complete noob. I know my way around RPG's." She then opened up her character window and proceeded to improve some of her stats with the skill points she received from leveling up.

Justin smiled. "Me too. I pretty much live in my basement playing these games." He chuckled. He was proud of it, though. He opened up his character window too. He had a few skill points left over, so he used them to improve his stats as well.

"Same here!" Piper admitted, closing the character window. "Minus being in the basement... I just lock myself in my bedroom to play. I'm the only gamer in the house," she said with a chuckle.

Justin closed the window as well. "I know how you feel. I'm the only hardcore gamer I know, other than a few friends of mine. I have a lot of time on my hands since I don't do any stuff after school." He said,

"School..." Piper muttered, looking at her book bag that she had just tossed on her bed. She stuck her tongue out before turning back to the screen. "I really am the only gamer I know..." She sighed and controlled Solara to do some exploring.

Justin had Kaidan follow Solara across the field. He remembered a spot that a friend told him about. "Hey. I remembered this dungeon area that a friend told me about. There's some good treasure there, and I hear there's a big boss monster there. Wanna check it out?" He asked.

"Sure," Piper said, stopping Solara so Kaidan could pass and lead the way. As she waited, Piper got up and walked over to her desk to retrieve the package of Oreos. Popping a cookie into her mouth, she set the package next to her bean bag chair and sat back down.

Justin smiled and had Kaidan take point, leading the way to the dungeon area. He pulled out a pack of pop tarts and bit into one as he continued to play.

"Spooky," Piper said when Kaidan and Solara entered the dungeon area. "So what kind of creatures should I be expecting to pop up?" she asked.
