Mine, it seems that the others may have found something, Laith remarked, listening to the strains of conversation coming from the main group.

Ah? Well then, that was a good sign at least. They'd have to keep following them from behind then as they were and hope for the best. Perhaps they would eventually stumble upon some sort of clue themselves. Either way, so long as everyone remained safe.

M'lan was getting nervous, despite the urging of the young brown dragon for them to carry on the search alone, he began leading Asoth back towards the lights back to the main group. There were noises all round and while M'lan wasn't a coward, there were all sorts of things out here that would make a meal out of a dragon as small as Asoth.

Asoth was NOT happy, he wanted to be the first to find whatever it was out here but he wasn't about to leave M'lan's side. "We come" he said to the gold, letting her know they were on their way back. No, they wouldn't be doing anything silly... but they also weren't going to find the thing first, not with an adult Bronzerider AND the Queen around, a rather dejected Asoth dragged his tail a little as they walked, Snow hummed to him to try and cheer him up. M'lan never let his hand leave the hide of his brown for a second.

Pipith was pleased to see the young brown and his rider to return, even if it was more likely the Queen's doing than his. Weyrlings stomping around by themselves just wasn't a good idea! Nevermind that he probably would have done the exact same thing at that age...or right this moment, if there had been another bronze around. Since neither was the case, though, he was more than happy to be the adult 'in charge.'

When they were alerted that something had been found, Set'al was admittedly curious as to what and followed to see. He really hoped things wouldn't narrow too much for Pipith to be able to continue to tag along.

Allaxon wandered over to the gap in the forest and examined the broken branches with interest. Hmm whatever it was was definately large and strong and he knew he was gonna follow it with the others if they went. But he definitely wasn't going in alone. He prodded a branch with a flat look on his face. Never a boring day at his Weyr. He wondered where Lilias was, probably asleep all comfortable with her new green.

"Well..what are you all waiting for? It obviously went this way" D'lin piped up, he'd wandered over as the group got bigger, more out of curiosity then anything else. Plexith was perfectly happy to stay back in his wallow for the time being - there were plenty of other's around the bronze had stated to keep D'lin safe and plodding about through the woods just..wasn't his thing.

Eyeing the branches for a brief moment D'lin turned his attention to his fellows and then shrugged and stepped into the woods to follow the path. "We'll never find out what it is if we all stay out in the clearing" He called back to his fellows.

Narisa was relieved to hear that M'lan and Asoth were joining back up with the main group. She didn't want anything to happen to anyone out here. But she also didn't want to force anyone to do something they didn't want. Not to mention Narisa was preoccupied with the current talk. Something had been found?

A path, it seems. That the creature traveled down. Or that's what the others were saying anyway. The gold offered Asoth an encouraging croon, as she didn't want him to feel down. But she was glad they had joined up with the group again.

"I guess, as long as everyone sticks together, it won't be too terrible to venture further into the woods?" She may have been a little nervous about being out here with some mystery creature, but Narisa couldn't deny she was growing more curious by the second as to what it was. With a small nudge from Cepheith, Narisa and the young queen headed after D'lin. If he was willing to head that way, surely it would be...safe enough with the group, right? Yeah. She could keep telling herself that.

"Mine! Over here, tell the others!" That was all S'kiro heard from Neptanth, as the blue made his way down the trail even more. The chirping of flits could be heard a little bit as they had to watch for branches coming towards them. There was a large spot and it was time to move along on the trail.

S'kiro turned to see if the rest were following, before calling them over to the area. "Hey. It was over this way." He looked to the wher, wondering if maybe it could pick up the scent.

As the group makes it's way down the path and further into the woods tension once more rises as the typical woodland sounds echo throughout the night. shadows creep in on the group from either side, swaying along with the trees and flora making them..and really only adding to the eerie environment the group seemed to be wandering into.

To make matters worse after a little while of walking the trail seemed to split into two and people piled up in the small fork while they pondered what to do. The silence of the woods was broken however a moment later as the sharp snap of a breaking branch echoed from the trail to the left. Allaxon is closest to to the sound but it is easily heard by everyone and it seems like the obvious trail to follow.

T'rel followed after Narisa; though he had only known her for a short while, it seemed he had already accepted that goldriders were in charge. And he was curious. Curious indeed! He wanted to know what it was people were seeing.

After this, will we play, mine? Lunath had no fear. This was exciting! Didn't hers see how exciting and fun this was? It was an adventure! She nuzzled T'rel's side, before glancing around. Lower your glow, mine. I want to see! I want to see everything.

Relys had been eyeing the large bush of thorns directly in the spot he’d chosen to enter the forest. That would hardly do. He glanced back, surprised to see the group following him. Ah shards. They couldn’t go through here. Those thorns would hurt human skin and dragon hide. He was about to speak up when another rider did.

To his relief he turned aside and led Relysk up. “Good spotting.” He grinned at S’kiro. “Urisk?” he asked the wher. Patiently he waited as Relysk sniffed over the area.
Relysk made a thorough check of the area. He responded negative and waited for direction.

”Relysk doesn’t scent anything out of the ordinary. I guess we should just follow and see where it goes.” He waited for the riders to decide. The choice was made quickly and he headed down the path with them. He kept Relysk on alert. Then the path divided. Where they going to split? Standing at the fork, Relys turned to face the left path when the sound of wood snapping reached his ears. Allaxon was between him and the path directly.

Asoth was silent, he was grumpy and wasn't the centre of attention.... and he wasn't likely to be when there was something out there... his usual displays would only irritate everyone at the moment. M'lan flinched but bravely held his glow out further when something snapped a branch near Allaxon. "er...i say the wher goes first, it can see better in the dark than us" he suggested lamely.

Right. So they were following this path deeper into the woods. Where it would probably be darker. And harder to spot things. At least they had Relys and his wher. Didn't wher's see really well at night? In fact, if she remembered right, didn't they see in inferred? Or something like that? So at least one of them wasn't blind out here! Not that this really made her nerves settle down. Hah! Some goldrider she was right now. Cepheith disagreed with this, saying she was smart to be nervous. But that didn't mean they couldn't sate their curiosity as well.

When they reached the fork and things grew silent only to be broken by the sound of a snapped branch, Narisa jumped and muttered a small curse. Even Cepheith had jumped slightly at that, body tensing, head swinging towards the left. Her tail twitched and a small bit of yellow-orange appeared in the mellow green of her eyes. Guess they were going that way now then?

It started getting a bit harder to see the path, and then they just have to hit a split in the trail. S'kiro turned to the rest of the group as they were bunched up together. A branch snaps near by and Ishbel digs her claws in to S'kiro's shoulder. He reached a hand up to soothe her nerves and his as well.

"Are we going to go that way, Saykiromine?" Neptanth wasn't to afraid of what was out there, but it was a bit more than he could handle, even with a wher and his Gold sister with them. The blue rider looked at the left path and back towards the right. "It could be something else that made that noise." Should he go right with just Neptanth? Or follow the rest on the left path. Not ready to be with the rest, S'kiro stepped towards the right path. "We will go this way, Neptanth. If we see or hear anything you can tell Cepheith or we send a flit back."

They have come to an intersection now.

Ah? S'koi had to give an amused smile to his green. Isn't it rude to be checking their thoughts like this?

No ruder than listening to their conversations up close, she replied. Besides, it is only the speech of the little ones that I am listening to. They were the ones that they were most interesting in making sure they stayed safe, after all.

The greenrider shook his head. Regardless, a group so large is not hard to trail. I think we can manage without the eavesdropping.

If you insist.

It was likely fortunate that S'kiro just so happened to glance down the right hand trail while everyone else looked towards the sound coming from the left...as very faintly through a bank of rolling fog the man was sure to get a fleeting glimpse of a a rather large for down the trail.

Whatever the group is chasing...it seems like they'd caught up with it, or t least they'd caught up with something though its shape was obscured by the fog S'kiro could certainly see that it was large. The shape quickly disappears almost as quickly as it was spotted, fleeing down the pathway ahead of the group.

((Grats to Silver for getting a second point and spotting the strange creature Everyone roll again in your next post!))
