Cedar made her way into the the dining hall. She looked over at the group of students, and then over at the professor, Professor X had come in shortlybefore she had graduated and didn't know much about him. She was glanced at the witch sitting with him but, shrugged it off to go into the kitchen.
There she met with the head chef, and they talked shop for about five minutes. It was an easy sale for Cedar. She was able to ship her produce to the town cheaper then the current provider, and so she could sell it cheaper to the kitchen. She and the Chef shook hands, and she walked back out. Everyone was still there... Now that she thought about it; these times would bring some together. People that wouldn't normally have met, are now meeting.
Shifting her wait, she realized she must have looked odd standing there like that, and she quickly headed back to the main entrance. She figured no one would bother her. No one in the school would even have remembered her at this point, and she was sad about that. Her teachers were what kept her going, and helped her understand her power more.

Moonfall: Theo's House
Ophelia looked up in surprise to see Theo's face instead of Phil's, as she was expecting. She took a quick look around her as she pulled her headphones to her shoulders. Huh. She could have sworn she was at Phil's door. She wondered why she ended up at Theo's instead. Shrugging subtly, she slipped inside, her winged heels making a soft click on the floor. She took out her mp3 player and strangely enough, actually paused the song and turned it off. Sighing, she slumped onto his couch, basically making herself at home.
With her face planted softly in a cushion, she spoke with a soft and muffled voice. "Dun really know how I ended up here. Guess it doesn't matter either. Just can't stand what's going on anymore and needed to get out of the house, talk to another person before I go insane" Her eyes fixated blankly into the space in front of her, lids half open in an exhausted manner.
"Aren't you worried?" she asked, turning her head so she could look at Theo and speak clearly.

Before Graveyard had a chance to respond to Salem, the man felt a tap upon his shoulder. He cocked his head to the side, and saw none other than Orpheus standing over him, smiling softly. Salem was at a loss, at first, as to how and why his band-mate and only real definitive friend had found him in this dark corner of the world. He had become so lost in his thoughts earlier that he had forgotten the two had agreed to meet here earlier; this was WHY he had even come to a bar at all. Far too forgetful tonight, it would spell trouble for him later, he had no doubt. Salem turned his own smile upon the man, and made a motion so slight it could hardly be called a nod.
“Right,” he said, dropping to an equally confidential tone for his reply, “We'll talk later, so we will. Keep your wits about you, my friend; you'll need them. Something isn't quite right these days.”
As Salem turned from Orpheus, a small voice uttered a polite interruption, and the one-eyed witchie turned his gaze upon the source. A young girl, probably a student (thought Salem couldn't tell, for she wore no uniform), stood before him. She seemed almost apprehensive, but Salem smiled warmly, or with as much warmth as his ruined face could muster, at her question. A thirst for knowledge is second only to a thirst for power, and Salem could appreciate that.
“That, my dear girl, is a tongue so old it no longer has a name,” he said, then motioned to his companion, the mononoke Graveyard. “It is the language of her people, and I thought to give her an ounce of familiarity in an unfamiliar situation by conjuring it from the blackness that is old memory. Would you sit? It's turning into a cold, hard night.” He gestured to an open seat at the table, inviting her to take it.

A bit surprised to have apparently entered a discussion on magics of all things, Azra'iel glanced over at Rajih, realizing he must have been demonstrating his powers earlier. Not that it was an odd concept in a school of magic, Azra'iel simply acknowledged that he was a bit more studious than most and did not expect conversations and demonstrations of magic outside of class and immature posturing. Intrigued by the opportunity, he shook his head in response to Ruria's off-handed question.
"Oh no, please, Ruria, do not allow me to prevent you from continuing your previous conversation." A genuine grin lit his features, brightening his eyes and making him look far friendlier. "I certainly do not wish to impose and how can any student of magics refuse a demonstration of another's powers."
Azra'iel leaned in, almost forgetting his manners enough to put his elbows up on the table. What a wonderful distraction on such a dreary evening!

Rajih scooted over as the other male witchling sat next to them before shaking his head. "No no, nothing to interrupt yet, just a mutual talk of the going on's outside the lovely dining room." Rajih sighed as he thought of the witch eater(s) who were causing such an uproar, hopefully it ended the conflict soon, the last thing he needed was to go hide in a mountain because someone got a little too greedy. "Welcome Welcome, Tell me, for I have already graduated Azra'iel, but what sorts of magic do you study?"
He made sure to give Ruria a small wink, a final answer to there conversation of eating...her? He doubted that one so enticed by sweets would not also be sweet herself but, then agian, you should never judge a book by its cover. "Ah a Spell from the lovely lady!" Rajih pointed Azra'iel, "You don't mind a spell right?" He almost looked at Az with pleading eyes.
---
Graveyard paused as they had a wave of newcomers through the door. It was odd to see that such a busy city and only one tavern made itself home to the more interesting of folk about. She studied the newest witch eater, quite adorable as she sat with the green one before looking over at the two boys. ah, she smiled as she noticed that one of the boy's was one that helped her in Moonfall many moons back. Requiem was his name? She didn't want to bother him though and let him continue his thing with what looked to be like his young lover.
Her eyes then turned to the young female student as she spoke of their language and was pleased that Salem answered straight and true. In truth, she enjoyed the Majin's quick witted responses and took great delight in the way he spoke. It was in its own way, a lyricalness and though he looked a little more on the grim side, his attitude sure didn't show it.
"What Salem speaks is quite true my A-yo-li(child)." She smiled softly at the young female witchling, "I am Graveyard of the Nomadic Tribes. We are not a large community but it is enough to keep our spirits strong and our culture potent." She moved over as the girl sat, resting her hand on her chin before sipping her tea. "Our Language is one of the Earth one might say." her eyes twinkled as she looked back over to Salem. Noticing that he had turned the eye's magic in his hand to close. she was the curious sort of course but things unexplained and hidden should be left that way, she didn't want to gain attention seeing as at the moment she was in fact surrounded by Witch eater's and Majin that if the humans got whiff of, could end up in a tragic and needless persecution. "Indeed, It is a shame that they found that they needed to take so many in such a great quantity." Graveyard ear's twitched, "I have heard of many Witch eaters who like to play it low though, it must be a terrifying situation to have one of their own go out and murder needlessly." Graveyard sipped her tea again as she looked over the young majin. "Ah I have not yet said it but, It is indeed quite a pleasure to join your company Master Salem."

Well, if she must, she must.... Ruria cleared her throat softly, placing her cup down on the table. She extended her hands in front of her, palms up, away from her body. Her soft, pink lips moved soundlessly, and two dark swirls manifested on her palms, and with a pop, two strange skulls appeared, glowing orbs for eyes in their fleshless faces, and two small horns fixed onto their heads. One had a large crack in its skull, and the other had a chipped hole. They seemed dizzy at first, and peered around for a moment.
"W-what! What is this decrepit dump we've been summoned into!?" the one with the crack said. He swirled angrily in the air. "Just look at these whippersnappers, Bitter! Look at them with their smug little puny faces!" The other skull, Bitter, acknowledged the angst of the first. "Yes," he replied morosely. "The youth of today seems quite... inadequate, wouldn't you say, Biter?"
Ruria seemed frazzled. "W-whyyy...." she mumbled. "Everytime I try this spell, just these two horrible creatures come out." She watched them in distaste.
"Did you hear what she called us, Bitter?! Ungrateful little twit!" The skull called biter became engulfed in a blue flame, and lunged, knocking his head into Azrai'iel's head, before clattering annoyingly around all their heads. Ruria batted around her head, covering it with one arm protectively "I-I'm sorry! It's a new spell, I'm still learning! They don't listen! I thought something else would come out!" She finally grabbed Biter with both arms, smothering the horrible skull to her chest. Swears and curses could be heard coming muffled from her school sweater.
Bitter just stared silently, before rolling onto Rajih's plate.

Quietly pleased at the reception, she took the seat provided with a little nod of thanks. Her lips stretched from their nervous distraction into a full smile, not wanting to deny the male and mononoke of the warmth that they were extending to her. "Aaa-yoe-lee," murmured Säde, miming Graveyard after introductions had been made. She could deduce the meaning from context - such an intriguing sound! "I had never heard of the outer tribes before now, forgive my ignorance. Not even in passing." Which she found odd, come to think of it. Hadn't her parents told her everything about the Hallow?
"Please, call me Säde." The student remembered to emphasize the syllables, Sah-deh, quickly. It made things so much easier later. "Thank you for the seat, Mister Salem. It's certainly a pleasure to share your warmth and Miss Graveyard's tonight. I'm a student at Makai Royal Academy - out on holiday, you might say. Because of the happenings." Tucking her legs beneath the cushion of her chair, she leaned forward. Her hands grasped her cider tighter at the mention of hard, cold nights; that much she could agree with, and she said so. "I'm sure I don't need to elaborate on the Lichbone incident."
And indeed, she hoped she didn't. Her role in it had been nigh unmentionable.

Rajih watched in interest as she started to summon her magic. He rested his chin on his hand noticing the familier feel of dark magic. It was more prominent then his own which was a subtle add to his water magic but none the less similar. He felt a little more at ease as she spoke then, her eyes focused intently on her magic before a pop rang out and in the place of the dark magic was two skull heads appeared. He clapped his hands at her, beginning to praise her for show when the two skulls started talking...and rudely at that.
He watched wide eyed at first before snickering, the two skulls were in fact lievely ones after all. "Quite the interesting pair...." he leaned closer to Ruria and smiled at her, "Friends? Necromancy magic is pretty hard to handle, you must be a powerful witchling..." Rajih watched as the two skulls turned their attention to the girl after she spoke and laughed as it attack Azrai'iel instead. "Man, They are violent.." Looking over to the other boy, he summoned a small amount of magic, a cooling water pack to hand to the boy before dodging the flying skulls. "Wow look at them go." His body swung back as the one known as Bitter came dangerously close to knocking him off the seat via headbutt. "Be careful Ruria!" as the skull came to be engulfed in her bosom. Bitter on the other hand had taken to resting on the table and rolling onto Rajih's plate, he looked down at it with dark green eyes into the empty sockets.
"Ummmm...." Rajih looked down at the skull before picking it up, "How's it going Bitter?"

Salem smiled at Graveyard and bowed as well as he could from his seated position. “You flatter me, Miss Graveyard.” And that was one of the rare occasions when Salem told the unaltered truth, for he did SO love having his ego stoked. What a treat this evening was turning out to be, even with all the odd happenings that swirled around his head! The positive attention he was receiving from his wonderful new lady-friends would probably throw off any inquisitive glances, as well.
“I am master of nothing, however, master of nothing at all,” he mused, smile faltering. Not yet, at least. He suppressed a cackle.
“A pleasure, Säde. Graveyard's already introduced me, but I'll repeat myself, just in case, so I will.” He laughed in good spirit, with just the faintest hint of falsehood hiding underneath, like the glint of steel. “I am called Salem, and I hail from no tribe nor any city.”
Salem smiled at the mention of the academy. “A student, hmmm? You're a witch, then? In what magic do you specialize?” Salem had never attended a magical academy, and all of his magic was self-taught and powered by things much darker than rigid training. He'd always wondered what they taught at the supposedly grand Makai Royal Academy, for though he'd been there many a time, he'd never observed the students doing as students do.
His face hardened an imperceptible amount when she mentioned the events at the academy, and he was quick to dismiss them. “Bah. That weren't an incident, that were a debacle.” He grimaced and took his first real drink, a great, gulping thing from the mug that had sat lonely before him this entire time. If either were to look close enough, they'd see alcohol seeping through the stitch on the side of his neck.
“No, no, that is hardly what any of this is about, barely at all. It's merely a piece of a much greater picture that looms over us, so it is. Even now I try to puzzle it out, make some sense of the fog that obscure things.”
Salem turned to Graveyard, and uttered a deeply cynical chuckle. “I can't imagine a single witch-eater who'd be scared of this. Not one who might continue calling himself a witch-eater. Nay, these times would be more infuriating than terrifying, to watch your fellow majin ruin everything, to throw a twist into the greater scheme things, to make everything harder-” Salem cut himself off at that point, realizing his emotions were saying far more than his mind was.
He turned his gaze back on Säde again, and appraised her for a moment. Saw something. Decided on whether to comment on it. Finally, he leaned in close to her, and whispered, very quietly, so that it was just audible over the noise of the tavern, “We are upon hard times, you and I. We must play very carefully, do you understand? It is unsafe for our kind right now.”

Moonfall: Theo's home
So, if she wasn't sure what she was doing here, why was Ophelia even here? Theo closed the door gently behind her, double checking the door was properly locked before turning around only to find Ophelia faceplanting on his couch. It wasn't that he minded, but even so. Theo shrugged his shoulders as he watched her make herself comfortable, claiming a cushion and burying her face in it. She seemed tired, the way she had moved and slumped onto the couch. Briefly, he wondered if she was okay. But now, she was here, seemingly for no purpose. Besides needing someone to talk to. Theo wasn't particularly talkative, though he listened. Occasionally. Most of the time. Sort of did at least.
"I doubt you came to hog my couch." Theo commented dryly as he leaned against the door, watching as she put her MP3 away. Something must be up, since in the short whiel he had known Ophelia, her MP3 was always blasting some song or another. He ran a hand through his hair before going to sit next to her. "I see. And what makes me your choice of company this fine evening?" He asked with a wry grin. He noticed that her face was pale, the shadows under her eyes were heavy. She looked, to put it kindly, exhausted. Not so kindly, she looked like s**t. "You look terrible." He said, reaching over to check her temperature. "Are you sick?" Her forehead felt a little clammy and warm, but not really feverish. Theo withdrew his hand, a small frown on his face.
"Worrying does me no good, so I try not to." The answered, his lips twisted in a cynical smile. "After all, if I worry what is it going to do? Will it benefit me or anyone?" The asked, knowing it was a rhetorical question. "It just makes you uneasy and unwell, the you'll worry yourself sick and really be unable to do anything when it is asked of you." He leaned back against the couch, his eyes meeting Ophelia's. "Is that what you really want?" The blue eyes stared intently into the vivid purple of Ophelia's eyes. "But yes, I can't help but worry sometimes." A sad smile crossed his face briefly. "For Phil..." He trailed off softly. Blinking, Theo turned away, a blank mask settling over his face again.
Phil.... His brother may have been a full-fledged witch now, but even so. Theo couldn't help but worry for his brother. He was older than Phil, even if he didn't look it most of the time. Was everyone alright at home as well? Theo had to wonder, but they ought to be alright. Most of them weren't witches. He and Phil were the only two to actually show any knack for the magics they now used almost as easily as they breathed. Theo would be miserable without his magic, that much he knew.
"So tell me, what's got you so worried?" Theo crossed his legs and turned to face Ophelia again. If she wanted to talk, he would listen. After all, that was what a friend was for.

Well! He had asked for excitement! Azra'iel blinked off the slight daze after one of Ruria's summoned skulls cracked into his own. Really, for a student witchling to even be able to summon something like that was quite impressive! He himself could summon some somewhat impressive barriers, but his more offensive spells were---in need of work. And he'd never been that close to dark magics before and was intrigued that it did not intrinsically....spark against his light powers. He had always half-thought it would.
Taking Rajih's offered cooling pack, he placed it absently against his head as he started to focus on the light in the room around them.
"Ah, thank you, Rajih. And to... answer your earlier question, ah, about my magic..." Speaking somewhat haltingly, as he was mostly focusing on gathering light energy, Azra'iel forced the light around them to form a softly glowing dome about the skull that Rajih had picked up. "...I manipulate light."
Looking over to Ruria, Azra'iel hesitated to offer any assistance with containing the other skull; mainly because in his limited experience, females, especially those with powers, were far more independent than most males gave them credit for and they frequently did. not. want. help.
"Are... you... alright, Miss Ruria?" He held his focus in case he could offer additional assistance.

Lea had been so caught up with watching the kitten lapping up the milk eagerly from the saucer he had made that he totally did not notice the girl with the eyepatch until he heard her commenting on something being cute followed by her offering of fish as evidenced by said object being laid out on the ground next to the kitten which gave an obviously delighted and appreciative mew at the generous gift.
"He says thank you, you're very kind Miss..." The green-eyed mononoke purred softly as he glanced up at Kalypso, not once moving from his crouched position next to the kitten, a small smile curling his lips although the expression in his eyes was one of wariness while he took in the Makai Academy uniform that she was decked in. A student of the academy like himself. Not an uncommon sight in these parts, given that most students ventured to the town to procure whatever neccessities they were lacking in, although he really had to wonder what brought her to this alley in the first place. Certainly most girls would have been taught by their parents and peers to steer clear of dark alleys like this for the sake of their own safety.
"Doing some late night shopping..?" Lea inquired tentatively as he tilted his head towards the direction of the bags that he had observed Kalypso carrying. He didn't think that she was one of those Witch Eaters but that didn't mean that he quite trusted her yet. "It may be wise to head back to the academy soon now that night has fallen..."

Graveyard sipped her tea with cool purple eyes ever watchful. They didn't have any happenings at the bar and with the rain that was starting to fade in the night, she thought it best to leave her welcoming company, especially now that she was the odd one out. Majin did fear, and for one Witch hunter to ruin a peaceful coexistent well, it didn't sit well with the neutral mononoke.
She stayed quiet at the introductions again before smiling at the girl's attempt at the old language. "Ah yes, It means Child. Though I am not much older then yourself I think, I am only 20yrs old." Graveyard nodded before shaking her head to the side, "I have just gained the title of Wisewoman, for I see...What others have seen, yet to see and will come to see." Graveyard slid her eyes back over to Salem before winking at him. "One day Master Salem."
She pushed herself up from the seat she kept warm before looking sadly at Salem. "I am afraid that I must cut our meeting short My friend." She smiled softly at the other girl nodding her head, "It seem's that someone is calling me and my magic. Be safe my friend." She her hand glowed purple as she touched the table, "If you have need of me and the power I possess do not hesitate to find me Salem...or Sade. Especially in these times." Graveyard waved as she headed out. It was time for work, and she would find the Witch eaters who made it hard and raised fear in the peaceful times.

The cat seemed to be enjoying itself and the feast that it had before it. Kalypso looked from the cat to the mononoke crouched on the ground beside her. "It was no problem at all. The little fellow looked hungry and I am more than happy to share."
She looked down at her bags after the mononoke commented on them. "Why yes I thought I do some shopping today. I went to a custom shop to get something for Hallows eve and then I went food shopping." She looked around the area suddenly realizing that it was getting dark and she was in a dark alley. She looked the mononoke over. He didn't look like a bad person who would hurt her but one can't be too sure.
"Your right about heading back to the school." She looked back at the little kitten. "Do you think it's ok to leave the little fellow here all by hisself?"

Ruria tried to offer Azra'iel an interested expression as she made several awkward, jerking movements in her endeavor to detain Biter. "T-That's...really ....amazi--ing!" came her stuttery words, as she squeezed tighter on the fighting skull. "You're almost my opposite!"
Bitter slowly gazed up at Rajih, before slowly biting his finger. Ruria cried out, and with a pop, made Biter disappear, and with a slap, made Bitter also disappear. "They're....horrible! I apologize that he bit you, and crashed into your frontal lobe." She seemed rather embarrassed. Her necromancy was quite pitiful compared to someone who might be halfway decent at it. At least their skeletal remains listened.
