She must have hit her head pretty hard. There was no way Nate was a senshi. They had to be good right? Nate was a troublemaker, law breaker, and not the first person you would think of to be a senshi. Suddenly his power sphere made perfect sense.
"Coolest surprise ever." She said with a smile, instinctively pulling her head in close to avoid the sliding doors. It was quiet in the emergency side of the hospital, and Castille couldn't help but feel happy. That meant nothing super destructive happened tonight. Maybe the Negaverse was taking a day off.
Fat chance.
Still, there wasn't anyone in scrubs around either, which she found odd. What if there were a real emergency, instead of a guy carrying a beat to hell girl walking in? There was a buzzer, but Nate decided his voice was louder. She inwardly laughed.
A few moments later, a women walked in looking slightly confused. The buzzer that indicated a car pulling into the emergency part didn't buzz, nor did her pager go off about an ambulance coming in. She stood looking at the two of them, and then said "What happened? while grabbing a wheelchair. Castille groaned. Man, as if she didn't feel weak and lame enough, let's put her in a wheelchair normally used for pregnant women, and people who couldn't stand on their own, let alone walk. She steadfastly ignored the fact that right now she was part of the latter group.

Nate left her to the doctor's care, getting a few looks and a lot of questions for all his trouble. He remembered why he didn't go out of his way to help people like this: it was a lot of work just to be a good guy.
He was getting frustrated by it.
Once she was taken off to be taken care of, Nate took his leave of the place. He escaped without too much trouble, though he would come back and visit. Maybe. If he felt like it.
He had to pretend he wasn't worried, but it was hard not to be. She was his friend, whether either of them admitted it or not. He would do his best to play his video games and ignore that nagging worry in him, but as he had discovered when one of his other friends was in the hospital, or even when his father was, it was harder to do than he would have liked.

Nate deposited her into the wheelchair, and she was being bombarded with questions and paperwork. When she finally go the chance to look back, Nate had left. No doubt to avoid being asked questions himself. She didn't blame him, but he didn't even say goodbye. She sighed, leaning back in the chair as she was wheeled to a room. One of the nurses said they would call her parents, but Castille wasn't worried about what her parents would say. The fight took a lot out of her, as did staying awake after she came to. Right now all she wanted was to sleep.
"You were very lucky that that guy found you." The doctor said sometime later, while her parents sat by her bed. She was hooked up to an IV, and her mind was rattling with panic at being so close to a needle she didn't respond past a "Mmhmm." When he left, her mother said "Who found you?"
"Oh, my friend Nate." Castille answered, closing her eyes and wishing her parents would shush for two minute to let her get some sleep.
"We'll have to thank him." her mother went on, flipping the page in her magazine.
Castille smiled. That will be the day. She could almost imagine Nate blowing off the thanks with something her parents would probably chalk up to rudeness.
Ah well, you can't change your friends.
