Havemercy grinned at the orange buck's willingness to try a bit of adventure and chuckled, pleased. "Oh You are so on," she teased, raising an eyebrow playfully and swishing her tail back and forth. "But I warn you, I'm not easily scared!" Practically cackling with excitement, Have leapt off towards the the room the orange buck had indicated, just narrowly springing over the mud-covered acha in her haste, her two mongeese clinging onto her for dear life.

Solemnly thought to speak with Mischief, but watched as the other entered the cave room with a doe and her mongeese. Well maybe he would learn something new to do while inside the haunted cave. He stepped inside and went straight to a room.

Clem noted that the choking buck was clearly fine, and seeing as he had no interest in the doe and she clearly had interest in the other purple buck, he thought he'd wonder off before her interest came back. He continued deeper into the cave, staring at the entrances, wondering which one he should take first. In order? Or randomly?
With the way the cousin had gone and dressed himself up, he thought that the caves should be expertly dressed as well. He grinned.
He would just walk into a random cave, and see all there was to see. He closed his eyes, swung his head around a bit, and walked toward the opening that was in front of him when he opened his eyes back up.

While some may have hesitated at the sight of a foreboding cave entrance, or even sneered about hearsay of an acha inviting kin into some crazy cave game instead of honoring the dead, Edge would have told them to grow a pair and stuff it, respectively. She for one loved all things new and exciting, and the idea of a haunted cave was both of those things and more, much more in the potential fun department, oh so much more. It was with that final thought in mind that she had made her way to the cave, arriving stealthily in the shadows, managing to go unnoticed by her fellow kin. She waited for a moment of inactivity and then slipped into the cave entrance, slinking in the shadows, her pale lower body tucked under her brown upper, which blended so conveniently with the cave walls which she now hugged. She made her way into the main hallway, golden eyes narrowed so as not to give her away, and crouched behind a boulder near a small gathering of kimeti, like a cat stalking her prey, tail flicking occasionally behind her as she carefully considered who would be the source of her fun.

River Stone blinked, and then suddenly someone was talking to her. Someone was talking. to her. The doe's mouth opened in sheer astonishment before she managed a very soft reply. "H-Hello... I have never been here before either." She looked down at her hooves nervously, unsure of what to say until it finally dawned on her that the blue buck had asked her a question. Maybe standing around did have its perks if she could manage to get even one other kimeti to talk to her.
"Oh! I'm... I'm sorry. I'll go with you if you don't want to be alone. I was going to see if I could find a ghost in there." River actually had yet to choose a cavern she wanted to go into, but since they all looked dark and intimidating from this distance she could only imagine that she would have to enter them all if she wanted to find an ethereal being to befriend. "Who are you? My name is River Stone." She introduced herself with a small smile, her tail flicking behind her.

Kimeti were very drawn towards things New and Interesting and so since there was something New and Interesting, that would gather a good bunch of people that would possibly contain New and Interesting Siblings. One down, certainly a few more to go, judging by the way their purported father spoke about their clutch. Pieces briefly flushed at the recollection and hurriedly jogged his thankfully red sister and her eaglehound along to the cave. " One thing I'd forgotten," he said sheepishly, as they arrived at the cave entrance, " it might be a little dark to really spot someone who looks like us." The concept of a haunted cave hadn't really hit home yet; he had spent more time thinking of its functional purposes. A look into the abyss now though, incited a little nerviness. (Sorry! My RP partner was late, so I had to delete the same prior post and repost again to keep things coherent. smile )

(EDIT: Forgot to mention - I'm playing for fun, not for very adorable Acha that I have to constantly remind myself I shouldn't be greedy over!) "Oh, don't worry too much about that," Re-wind nodded earnestly, trotting a little to keep up pace with her brother - her brother! The word was still new on her tongue (brain), and it made her smile even as she continued, "did you know? Eaglehounds can see pretty well in the dark. Have you ever seen their eyes sometimes glowing at night? They have an interesting little structure in the back of their eye that reflects light, and it helps to register what light there is in the dark. Of course, their night vision is not as good as, say, a lynx's, but Stealjaw might still be able to help in a place like this."
Padding along behind them with some suspicion as to their destination, Stealjaw could not have known nor cared less about the details of their quest, but Re-wind's belief in her constant companion was unshakeable.

"Indeed, that should work well," he nodded, taking in her little factoids - though these 'did you know' sessions were a little more frequent than he had imagined. Still, his sister didn't seem particularly weird, and it was true that her eaglehound would be helpful in that aspect. "In which case, I suppose we should get started." A respectful nod to Stealjaw - he wasn't comfortable calling him like a pet, sometimes he seemed savvier than his owner - and he ushered Re-wind into the nearest cave.

"I'm To Be Humbled!" He exclaimed, the grin never leaving his face. "You can call me Humble though. It's good to meet you!" He certainly didn't want to go alone, where was the fun in that? Not that he was scared... Okay, maybe slightly. But only because the things inside the cave were unknown to him. Plus it might be cold. He shuddered a bit at the thought.
"I'd love some company! And if we can meet a ghost, that would be neat!" Oh yes, neat. Because how could the disembodied soul of a dead being inside of a haunted cave with dark corridors ever be creepy? Oh well. At least he wouldn't see it alone.
"How about we start from one side and work our way towards the other?" He gestured towards the first cave.

River nodded, looking Humble over so that she could memorize his features and commit his name to her memory. "You can call me River, if you want to." She added, but her gaze had already fallen on the entrance to the first corridor. They all looked the same really so nothing clearly called out 'There's a ghost in HERE!' but she took a slow step forward in the direction her partner had suggested.
She wasn't exactly afraid now that someone was going into the dark depths with her. After all, if she had to run for her life there would be a set of hoof beats following hers. She shuddered slightly at the reassuring thought; it would be the first time that had ever happened to her. "Thank you." She whispered before moving on to the next destination with some small amount of confidence in her steps.

Wings Sleep made her way to the cave, casually swaying to the music that she could hear. The rustle of leaves, the beat of the dirt beneath her and the voices of the others in the area. The music was leading the doe into the cave, without a real glance at the entrance. She gave everyone a partial look before heading in.

It was a very magnificent opportunity, a very marvelous place to be! Would there be actual monsters, she wondered? “My Jolly, my Jolly! Oh golly, my Jolly!” Nocturne sang, prancing into the cave. The dark foxbun bounded in front of its owner, pausing only to clean its paws. He was so adorable, her little Jolly! Even now, after having him for a while, Nocturne could not resist a happy little wiggle at the thought of her foxbun. “I do hope, my little Jolly, that any monsters that are here do not make a meal of you! Just think, a fearsome badger, rising from the dead to snatch you up! His great jaws falling apart with decay, his claws mangled and bloody!”
By the time she had made it to the cave proper, joining eagerly the crowd gathered, she was disappointed to find that a little show had been missed. With all of the kin gathered in the dark cave, she really didn’t think a little show mattered, and so brightened up. So many to talk to! Yet, when Nocturne turned to talk to the nearest Kimeti, words did not flow from her mouth. Instead, her golden eyes searched worriedly in the dim light. Something was missing, something important that stemmed her flood of words. “Jolly, my Jolly? Has a foul beast snatched you up? Have you been dismembered by a swamp monster hidden in the cave?” She could not see her beloved foxbun, and this was one gruesome scenario that did not make her smile. With a regretful glance towards the group of kin, Nocturne trailed off into the cave, plaintively calling out to her wayward foxbun.
