User Image He sat. Motherfather be merciful, the buck was more intuitive than anyone else she'd encountered, other than the birds. She almost grinned as she skipped through the people, wiggling up to the bones. She paused, almost reconsidering, before she pulled one of the cleanest-looking bones out with her mouth, and half-skipped back to the buck with her prize.

As she laid the bone down in front of him with a wet click, she sat down too, completely shocked by the fact that she'd actually... touched... that bone.Soundless laughter would have been quite a thing for him to behold, as she shook noiselessly in amusement at herself for being so scared beforehand.

While the doe was away, he listened intently to the voices of the other Kimeti, picking up another voice of a doe-- The one that had been here first. She seemed cheery. Very cheery. Wasn't she a ghost previously? Chuckling softly to himself, he brightened when Bird returned, dropping something at his hooves with a wet clatter. Bending to sniff the object, he blinked, recognizing the faint scent of marrow.

"A bone..?" Blind stared aimlessly at the object before nudging it forward and back, recognizing it as one of the creature's bones, and not a Kimeti or their cousins'. That was good, at least. "Sing told me there was a skeleton... But..." And while the buck had believed the green acha, he felt as if the bone in front of him made it that much more real. "How strange... Bird. Thank you for bringing this to me. It must taste strange... I did not mean to force you into something like that. You are too kind." Smiling quietly to himself, he nudged the bone again, though he could smell the fear radiating off of a tiny foxbun somewhere near the other kimeti, and it crushed his heart to nearly hear the poor creature's heart rattling off its ribcage.

"There are so many souls here... It is hard not to be afraid."

User ImageBird practically beamed at him as he thanked her. She'd helped him, at least in some small, tiny little way. And that made her feel content.

She stood again, nosing him in the shoulder to lead him off. Who knew. Perhaps... they could see the rest of the cave together?

Click to show.Rouge burst into the cave to find Kisses trotting circles around Sing and Cuddles (and their guest) like he had found a prize. "SIIIIIIIINGGGGGG!!!" she cried excitedly - her very best friend! What it treat it was to find her here, they would have so much fun in these caves together! "And Cuddles!" she cooed at her snuggum-wuggum's once-puppy, "and - hallo, hallo! Who have we here?"

"The warmth seeps into your bones and stays, not like dry heat. Fantastic." He briefly considered setting up a steam area of his own near his tree.

It was barely bright enough to see as his companion was bumped into, and as Humble opened his mouth to ask the buck to please kindly watch where he was going (for he certainly hadn't been paying attention to anyone else in the room since they arrived, and didn't know the other male lacked sight), another doe stepped in to help him move away. He quickly shut his trap, ashamed of himself.

"Are you alright, miss River?" He asked softly, turning to her with concern on his face.

Even though the doe had not yet agreed to Sing’s offer, the Acha was already trying to get Cuddles psyched up. “You can find anything, can’t you Cuddles? You’re such a good… oh, look! It’s Kisses!” Sing was delighted. If Kisses was here, Rouge wasn’t too far away. That thought barely had a chance to pass through her mind when the other Acha burst into the cave. “Sister Rouge! You’re just in time! I have just offered to track down a… a… something of sorts and you would be marvelous help.”

River Stone blinked as Blinding Light was whisked away by Wings of a Bird, at least glad that neither of them had gotten hurt although there was something about the buck that piqued her interest. She wasn't sure if it was his lack of coordination, but something told her that he might be lonely too. The mud-colored doe turned back to answer Humble. "I... I'm fine." She looked down bashfully from his concerned gaze, not used to someone caring about her.

River watched the brightly colored acha converse for a moment with their pets, before she realized she still hadn't answered what her behavior would be like if she were a ghost. "If I were a ghost, I think I would stay near my bones. They would probably get lonely without my spirit." It was a habit of hers to never leave anything behind, and she thought that as a ghost if she couldn't pick up her skeleton and move it with her then it logically followed she should stay by its side. Leaning down to look closely at the bones on the floor, River Stone wondered if the creature had been reaching out to someone when it supposedly died.

"I'm really sorry that you died in a cave like this, where's it dark and hard to see. It was probably too late when your family found you... There's no ghost here, so I guess you've moved on. Please, rest in peace." The doe's ears lowered a bit as she whispered, knowing that no one else would truly spare a thought to lost life that had eventually been brought to the cavern.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Really? Well..." Humble thought about her words for a moment, his brow furrowed. "Well, that makes sense. Though if I were a ghost, I would want to go explore more, maybe go out to the desert and stretch out in the sun. But not everyone wants that, so I guess..." He paused.

As his adventuring partner bent down to speak to the bones, the buck was touched. What a sweet doe, to think of the creature that had fallen to leave the bones behind! He hadn't thought of that at all. A bit ashamed, he tilted his ears back and hung his head in a moment of silence.

"That was nice of you, ma'am." He spoke after a bit, his voice seeming almost too loud after the silence. His feet scraped anxiously at the floor of their tiny spot in the cave. "We'd best move forward though... I suspect others will want to come see this area, and it's getting crowded."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.“You will help me in my search for my Jolly, strange cousin?”Nocturne wiggled excitedly, more like the small dogs accompanying the Acha than anything else. “I worry that my small foxbun has been scared to death by a vengeful ghost. Although..” The doe bent her head down, eye-to-eye with Cuddles, flicking her gold eyes between both her and Kisses. “Small creature, you have sharp teeth! I have worked very hard to keep my Jolly alive, you see! He is always getting into trouble, with angry bucks or high water or hungry lynxes. I would be ever-so sad if you ate him. Though you do seem to be the same size of my Jolly, my cute little Jolly.”

“Strange cousin, I would be glad to accept your aid in finding my Jolly! He is so tiny, he must be scared in these dark caves! As long as your little creature does not snap him with her teeth – he is not fond of sharp teeth. She will feast only on bones, yes? And then we shall find my Jolly and he and I shall find monsters in these caves! Maybe we’ll get chased, or eaten by something no eyes have ever seen!” Nocturne was already grinning with the thought of her fuzzy foxbun.

“He is cute and adorable, you know, small and black and purple, and how will your toothy animal find him? Does she-” A flicker in the corner of Nocturne’s eye caught her attention, a flash of bright purple as a kimeti moved, light catching the fur of something small. That purple – it was unmistakable! A shriek of joy left Nocturne as she barreled towards the color, nearly crashing into many a ‘meti in her haste, and definitely knocking over the unfortunate kin that the foxbun was leaning against. Her head met the foxbun’s fur, and she enthusiastically nuzzled the bright animal. “I have found you, my Jolly! My cute little Jolly, you must have been so scared without me! Have you had fun in these caves? Have you seen swamp badgers, or a monster, or perhaps giant fireflies, come to carry you away? This strange cousin and her finding-animal were about to help me search for you, a grand quest! But I have found you, my Jolly!”

Lifting her head after her well wishes for the skeleton, her tail swished softly when Humble complimented her actions. "Oh, I just figured no one else would do it... If it were me, I'd like for someone to do the same someday." She said, taking a few steps away from the bones so as not to disturb them again. Looking around the room finally she did notice that the crowd was growing a bit large for her comfort and to ensure she didn't get run into again it probably would be best to move. River began walking toward the tunnel they had entered the smaller cavern in before turning back to the blue buck.

When he said 'we' she smiled a little. It was rare to hear that word even though her partner probably hadn't even thought about it all before saying it. To be included in something felt very, very nice. "I'm not sure which way we should go... but this one is glowing a little. Maybe a ghost is in here." Having not forgotten her original quest to see the otherwordly, River Stone walked back in the direction of the third cavern.

User Image The orange buck laughed at Double-Stripe. She seemed to be one he could get along with over time. He watched as the originally frightened doe went to help a green and yellow buck. At least she had gotten over her fright.

Before he could say anything, another acha came bounding in. He stepped to the side as all of the kin seemed to be hovering around the bones. They seemed to be full of energy and he wasn't ready to get back in the water. He thought about maybe just maybe moving into submerge himself in the water, after most left the area. It would be a wonderful joke. Thinking of Joke, "Has anyone seen an orange snake around here?" Solemn just couldn't keep a handle on that snake, no matter what.

Click to show.Meanwhile, Kisses was torn between his duty and his instinct, the former of which compelled him to assume Solemn, Obedient, GoodBoy mode as a guide for the most wayward of his offspring, and the latter of which compelled him to frolic. Determining from Rouge's relaxed air that no Work was to be done at the moment, instinct took over and he gambolled with Cuddles, with much licking and tail-wagging and barking and good-natured play-tugging at the bone she held all around.

User Image It was curiosity that lead Magpie into the cave and to enter the fourth room. They others just did not hold her interest, and she enjoyed the mist - which would obscure her from the others. Her nerves were only for the surrounding of the kin, kimeti and acha alike. All she could think about... if she found a treasure, how would she get it past them without them seeing!

So, she stuck around the edges of the room, her shape barely (if at all) perceptible to anyone else. She did go to the edge of the pool and stuck her nose in to blow some bubbles. What were these mists and water hiding? It must be a very pretty treasure indeed!

Magpie, quiet though she was despite creating some bubbles and trying not to sneeze, wasn't even paying attention to the others, or the fast that she wasn't very balance on the edge there.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. What promise! What wonder! Fiend entered the cave after the hosting acha promised he would be scared. He chose the cave with bones at its entrance, hoping the mist from hotsprings and already present bones would make others not look askance at his "unique" features. Near the lip, steam blasted in his face, sending his long treeses into a tumbly mess around his horns. He looked like a pink cloud floating amid white fog. Sighing, he gazed through his obstructed view.

Brown swirly doe. Insanely pink acha. Almost too pink. And an orange buck asking if anyone saw an orange snake. He snorted delicately and hoped desperately the snake wasn't a euphemism for something else, orange or not. Just to be sure, Fiend stayed away from that potential pervert. He made his way around the perimeters of the cave, pausing to look at the bones. Still freshly bare. New death. He was waiting for the real "fun" to begin, looking for something new and exciting.

User Image Magpie saw through the mist a swirly pink Lengendary... who with those bones painted on she though was way too involved with the festivities. She wasn't the most trustful of the Legendaries, with their mysterious ways and such - she was always convinced they wanted her treasure.

Gathering up a bit of the water, she held it and walked up to the bone-painted large male... and aimed... and sprayed it in the direction of his face.

Just her way of saying hello? A warning to be careful not to take anything she might deem her treasure? A dismissive 'goodbye'?

Who knows, but Magpie slunk back into the mists, her eyes glowing with suspicion in the lingering fog. If he though he could come in here and take a shiny from her, he was mistaken - though that pink acha would make a nice addition to her collection - too bad an addition that could walk out and spread the secret location around too anyone. The others weren't bad, just not as shiny and intriguing. But they all wanted her treasure, she was sure of it. Coming here might have been a bad idea.
