"Of course, you can wait for me after school. I can drive us home from there." He hadn't noticed her in school, too consumed in trying to keep up and act normal. He also had his art projects he invested his time in. But if she knew where he went to school, without ever once seeing his uniform, she also was a Meadowview student. She had to be higher than him, she certainly didn't seem younger than he was. He'd have to look out for her next time.

"And intervention, over a dislike of tea? Should I also make up a tea for him? See if he likes whatever I can blend up?" He asked, smiling at her as he steepled his fingers, elbows on the table, and leaned his chin onto the backs of his hands.

"I prefer espresso myself. I find tea rather bland." Order his own food, unaware of Ashley's plans for him and food experimenting. "Maybe rose tea? I have some lovely roses." Nasty thorns on them though, and the reason he kept lady bugs in the green house and on occasion they got into the house and would be found in various places. Always they were cupped and put back into the green house.

Acting normal became second nature, once you've been doing this for long enough, really - the most important thing was to hide your injuries as much as possible, and if you did it well, people didn't question too much. She was 17, after all. Pretty much everything could be explained in a way that distracted from the truth.

"He's a complete fanatic." She laughed. "I mean, complete, utter fanatic. He got it from our nana, I think. Me, I uh... like soda. It's my one vice." She went to blow of lock of curly hair in an over-exaggerated fashion. "I mean, I've gotta have one, right ? No one can be perfect."

Ahaha.

"I think he'd probably like that."

"My one vice is espresso." He could be bribed with it, easily, provided it had the right syrup in it. He was picky on the flavor, two options or a combination was good.

"I'll do that as well then. I'll make up some tea, maybe tonight. I have some trimming to do on the roses anyway, and I don't want you seeing me get stuck by the thorns." He said, she might laugh at that sight. As good as he was with plants he still got stuck, and they were large and sharp.

"I've tried some of my own teas, just to get an idea on flavors. But otherwise I dislike tea."

Watching the waitress bring over drinks, his water and something for Ashley.

Ashley nodded her thanks at the waitress, and accepted her soda - a cola of some brand or another, unlike some fanatics she wasn't that discriminate about her brown, fizzy drink of choice.

She'd seen some ridiculous s**t at the dinner, for sure.

"Heh, hopefully it all goes well." Ashley couldn't garden worth anything, really. She was pretty sure one could give her a cactus and she'd manage to kill it somehow.

"Yeah, it tastes... I dunno, I don't like the herby taste." She shrugged. "Im okay with iced tea but... Well, im sure Matthew and Zac would be happy. More for them."

Somewhere, Alunite and Zinkenite sneezed.

"I agree though I'm almost not a fan of the iced stuff either. I find it leaves me feeling a bit dried out and in need of something more thirst quenching." Ice water, flavored water, juices, those were his favorite options though espresso had a place in his heart really. It was a limited few who knew just how easy he was to bribe, a very limited few.

"It should, so long as I'm careful. I used to look like a pin cushion, I've gotten better with trimming them." A smile came across his features. He was proud of how well he'd gotten with his plant tending abilities. It took time and patients for sure.

"Zac?" Not a name he knew. "I'm sorry. I don't know many outside of work. Something I'd like to work toward remedying. But yes, it sounds like your brother would be happy with." He spoke while sipping from his water again.

"You should see me after a soccer practice." She said, amused. She usually ended up covered in dirt and scrapes.

Ashley had always played hard, and in a way, her 'night job' had made it worse - she needed to keep herself in check more...

"Ah..." Whoopsie. That had come out a little too easily, come to think of it.

"Just someone I know outside of school. Don't worry about it." She smiled. Hopefully if one day Alexandre figured out exactly who Zac was, she'd forgive him. He'd probably understand, she hoped.

Their plates arrived then, and Ashley wasted no time - one of the potstickers was pushed toward him. "Try that, too ! It looks weird I know, but they taste amazing."

"Should I make you some salves for that?" He asked teasing softly, though he would if she wanted. He didn't mind producing for members of the team - family. If it helped in healing up there was no harm in helping.

"I wasn't aware you played soccer, maybe I can find time to see a game or something?" He really wanted to have a normal life, a teenage life. He was trying to find normal things to do with his life. He was going to be up all night and crash when he did get to sleep unless he worked out a new schedule for himself and his precious time.

He'd forgive her of course, he'd understand of course. Distracted by the food being pushed to him he blinked. "What's in it?" No allergies or anything like that to worry about, but it looked odd and he was curious. Glad for having a fork he prodded the potsticker which had been pushed toward him.

"Heh, nothing a little bit of rest can't fix." She grinned. "I play on the female team for Meadowview... They won't let me on the guy's. It sucks."

Some of the chicks on the team were such damn prima-donnas...

"Just don't come when we play against Crystal. You'll probably fall asleep." She laughed.

"These are pork I think... They call them potstickers. 'cause they let them stick to the pan, then they use broth to have them let go without tearing. That's what give them their tastes." Ashley had a fork, but was forgoing it completely in the favor of chopsticks, and the way she'd passed the potsticker to him made it obvious that it wasn't the first time she was using those, either.

"I wouldn't imagine them much for a contact sport. Which game should I see? One from a team outside the city?" He questioned as he wanted to see a game which wouldn't put him to sleep, and where he could watch the purple haired General at her best. He was sure she was very good on the field, and he wanted to see her when she was challenged and worked for the win he was sure the team would secure by games end.

He'd taken notice and prodded it with his fork for a moment before turning his fork in order to slice the purse like dough open. Trying half he pulled a face for a moment but slowly nodded.

"Not something I'm fond of but it's not bad either, acceptable." He said after swallowing what he'd taken to try. "I'll finish the remaining half but the rest is all yours." Pointing to what she had left of the pot stickers with his fork.

"St-Mags can put up a fight when they feel like it." Ashley seemed to ponder this. "Through really, outsiders tends to be more into it overall."

Ashley would probably debate that if he truly wanted to see her at her best, then they ought to power up and go find a butt-winged wonder, through that was neither here or there.

"Ah well. More for me !" She said, cheerfully, easily picking up one with her chopsticks. "At least I got you to try it. Matthew didn't want to try our grandmother's when he was little because he thought they looked weird." A good dunking in sauce and the potsticker met it's fate.

"They do look weird." He said laughing lightly. He knew if he wanted to see her at her best, sports not taken into account, he knew he'd need to power up and have her do so as well. But he wanted to see her at her best with a ball on the ground.

"I'll have to watch the next game against St. Mag's then. I'll look in to when the games are and against who." It would surely gain an odd look from his gym teacher, since he never had any care for sports and such. He simply...disliked sports, they weren't his thing.

Ashley gave an amused chuckle at his agreement with her brother's claims. "Well, they do... Just a little." But the only thing that mattered was that they were delicious, right ?

Yup.

Ramen and potstickers aside were devoured quickly, and indeed just as declious as usual. The food would help, she knew by experience, but she still planned on getting him home so he could rest.

She waited for him to finish, eyeing the dessert card idly, uncertain if she was actually still hungry or if this would be overdoing it.

The ramen was good, really good actually. He could see it as something worth going to get on a nice cold evening in order to warm up. "This seems like what would be the equivalent of chicken soup." An observation based on that same homey sort of feeling he had with the bowl of hot soup that he enjoyed. The fried rice was even better, with some salt added.

"You picked a good place, you have good taste; those pot stickers aside." He said with a smile as he finished his own food slowly. Feeling rather filled, he was used to those small fancy meals and well...less food than he'd just consumed. "Going for desert also?" Noting her eying the desert card.

"Yeah, everyone I've brought here liked it." Through Alexandre was the first nega, she was pretty sure, that she had taken here.

"Still pondering." She admitted. "Through... Eh, probably not. I've got a ladylike figure to keep." She grinned. Really, keeping her ladylike figure was farrrr from hard. Soccer, kicking senshi a**, running and jumping rooftops, teleporting...

"I should get you home so you can rest a bit, through." She waved the waitress over, paying for both their meals before he could have the time to say anything about it.

He did go to protest, he'd pay! Only Ashley got to pay before he could and he sat pouting at her, he even puffed out his cheeks for a fraction of a second. "I was going to pay you know." He said before shaking his head.

"I doubt you need to worry about your figure, considering the work out you get, it's more than I get. And with the work we both do." The negaverse work. "That burns a lot, add in that you play soccer and that training. You haven't anything to worry over. In fact, I'd say your in great shape something half of the girls in our school should be jealous over."

While she wanted to get him home, so he could rest, he wanted to go home as well. But she didn't know where he lived, not precisely. "Do you know where Lockwood is?" It was in one of those well off areas just outside of the city. Little lamp posts, rather than the usual street lights, all along the roads with well manicured and decorated lawns. Large houses and fairly expensive cars in driveways. The area wasn't as rich as some areas outside of the city but it was well off, it was quite the walk from there to the city park. But he supposed all the walking he did while shopping, for clothing or plants, had helped him when it came to putting down distance and the short amount of time he'd already put into the Negaverse.
