Alcyone nodded and headed towards the door. Things were starting to look up and hopefully things wouldn't get too bad from here. "Yeah let's go!" Alcie was rather eager and looking forward to the next part of their adventure.

The second room is much smaller than the first, small and cylindrical, with the majority of space being taken up by a pool of water in the center. On closer look, it's less a pool and more a well. A very deep well. The chamber would be completely dark, if not for something glowing faintly in the water. All the way at the bottom. There is no visible exit. At the bottom of the well For some reason, you find your attention focused on a strange four by four stone grid filled with puzzles. There is a strange sort of something to it, a compulsion if you will. It's as if the puzzle wishes to be solved...

[Sin Entering]
Sin frowned as she looked around the new room, the faint chime of a bell had alerted them towards it. Now she was afraid she had made a mistake in entering, and worse...Julian was not gonna be happy about it at all. She inched forward a bit and peered down the well with a frown, there was no way she could hold her breath long enough to get to bottom...and that was assuming there was an exit at the bottom. There was a faint glow, but that could be anything. She turned to wait for Alcie instead nervously hoping that the water demon would be able to tackle this challenge.
"Just stay calm Julian..." She muttered under her breath.

Honestly she didn't know what to expect when she stepped into this new room. It took a few seconds for Alcyone's eyes to adjust to the darkness but she immediately recognized the reflections on the wall. Water?
In their past 'field trips' Alcyone hadn't been able to contribute too much because of her 'disabilities' on land (aka innate clumsiness). So she was rather surprised to see that there was some sort of water challenge in front of them. It was right where she felt at home so she didn't feel that familiar surge of panic every time an obstacle stepped in their way.
She couldn't see an exit anywhere and when stepping closer to the edge of the poor, Alcie spotted the puzzle at the bottom of the well. "Hey guys take a look at this!" There was excitement in her voice when she realized that she could finally be useful. "What do you think we should do? I can swim down and try to grab it..." It seemed like it was possible but it could be attached to the bottom of the well for all she knew.

"Julian is terrified of water Alcie, I think you should try and go down there and see if you can bring the glowing thing up...or see if it's an exit?" She was very glad to see Alcie looking so relaxed about it, no pressure...except that they had to get out of this cramped room.
Sin slowly backed away from the well to stand against a wall worried about where Julian would be deposited upon entry.

"I... I'm right here, S-Sin..." Julian's soft, timid voice came from the wall to her left. He'd been standing there while the two ghouls inspected the pool of water in the center of the room, eyes wide in terror. As soon as he had gotten into the room he had pressed his back against the wall, as far as he could from the water.
"I'm okay... I'm ok-kay..." He kept repeating the quiet mantra as if it was is lifeline, his eyes staring at the floor rather than the water. He didn't know how deep it was, he didn't want to know. He just wanted this puzzle to be over with and if water was Alcie's thing, then good for her, she could take this one all she liked.

She couldn't even imagine being terrified of water. Alcyone hoped that it wouldn't require the other two to enter the well because it seemed rather deep. It would take a little more than just a deep well to get her nervous. Glancing over at the other demon, Alcie tried to smile reassuringly. "Don't worry, I'm sure everything will be alright and hopefully we all won't have to go in the water. I'll be right back."
Stepping to the edge of the water, Alcie looked down at the glowing puzzle and in a split second, she jumped in feet first into the pool. The water felt cold on her skin but she didn't think twice about it. Moving her arms and kicking slightly, Alcie made her way to the bottom of the well and tried to keep an eye out for any possible exit.
[Choice: Alcie will dive down to the bottom of the pool and try to bring the puzzle up to the surface. She will also look around for an exit. The other two will stay at the surface.]

There is no visible exit. When Alcyone lifts the puzzle, the water begins to slowly and steadily rise.

Sin was about to put a comforting hand on Julian and assure him that Alcie had everything under control. Then her eyes widened as she stared at the well infront of her. She stepped a bit closer and frowned as she noticed...the water level seemed to be rising? Oh sweet Jack! She had to cross her arms and keep calm, if she told Julian he might panic. Unfourtunately there was the slow drip and slosh of the water coming up and over the well...and into the tiny room that was probably going to alert him anyway. She peered into the water and tried to wave Alcie up frantically.
Whatever had been glowing at the bottom of the well probably shouldn't have been moved, but now that it had been it had best be a key of som ekind.

Julian continued to stare quietly at the floor, keeping himself fairly calm. Until a bit of water lapped into his line of vision. His eyes flicked upwards slightly and he saw that water was starting to bubble up from the well, steadily making the pool larger. And Alcie was nowhere in sight. That meant that the water was deep. And now it was starting to fill the room.
His eyes widened and he pressed his hands against the wall, trying to shrink away from the water. "I-I'll be ok-kay. Just st-stay away from the cen-center," he stuttered , body shaking like a dry leaf in the wind. His wings moved and wrapped around himself tightly, staring at the pool now as he waited for Alcie.

Concentrating on the task in front of her, Alcyone had no idea what was perspiring up at the surface of the well. She continued to bring the puzzle up about half the length of the well and then looked up wondering how much farther she had to go. Then she finally spotted Sin's waving arms and panicked expression.
Grasping onto the puzzle even tighter, Alcie kicked her legs hard and swam up to the surface wondering what was going on. What if they were getting attacked or something was wrong with Julian. Finally reaching the surface, the water demon pulled her body out of the well dragging the puzzle along with her and then realized that there was water on the floor of the cave. "What happened?" Completely out of breath, the words barely made it out of her mouth as she looked at the other two.

When Alcie broke through the surface the first thing Sin noticed was the shiny paper clutched in her hand. She motioned frantically at the wet ground and slowly rising water. Luckily Sin had dispensed with wearing high heels and evening gowns on school field trips and she looked much more ready for action...but she hadn't brought any scuba gear.
"Alcie tell me that's a key or something?" Well even if it was they didn't have a lock to put it in. Still she hoped that there was some way out of here before the water rose any higher.
"What is it? Was there an exit down there? The room started to flood when you got down there." She looked at Julian nervously, oops she hadn't meant to use the F word.

The higher the water got, the more frequent Julian's mutterings became and the closer to the wall he pressed. By now the poor boil was pressed so flat he was nearly clawing at the wall for some elevation. He'd fly up, but there was no telling how high, or low, the ceiling was in the low light from the glow now in Alcie's hands.
"Death... Pl-Please hurry, Alcie!" The words came out almost as a whimper as he closed his eyes tight, trying to calm down. It's not deep, you can't drown, he told himself over and over again. But the water was rising. Would it stop before something bad happened? Please, oh please let it stop before it was too high for him to deal with.

Alcyone had almost forgotten about the puzzle when she had realized that the they weren't being attacked or anything. Glancing down at it, she observed the puzzle and realized there were instructions on it. "Hey let's just try to solve this and maybe the water will stop. There wasn't an exit that I could see when I was swimming down there. This was the only thing at the bottom of the well."
She went back to the edge of the pool and looked down. She was sure that there wasn't anything left at the bottom of the well though she would be willing to check again... It seemed like the water was steadily rising so hopefully they would be able to figure out the puzzle fast enough.

Sin stared at the paper Alcie showed them, well showed her Julian was still pressed agaist the wall. She frowned at the grid and the symbols and bit her lip. "Oh...it's a puzzle like that..." Not exactly her strong suit.
She felt around for a pen and frowned before biting her thumb and dipping her nail in her dark blood. She doodled in a moon and then frowned. "This isn't exactly my forte...Julian?"
She turned and thrust the paper in his face, uh oh he looked pretty out of it. "Julian!" She gave his face a soft smack and then gripped his shoulder. "Listen to me, please, you're good at puzzles and if you solve this one we might get out of here, out of here AWAY from the water okay? So pull it together!"
Okay hopefully they could get this thing solved...because the water was getting ankle high quickly.
