Casting Mot a sideways glance as he 'came to her rescue', she thought about telling him to stay the ******** back so she could handle it... But that wasn't the best of ideas with the searing pain she felt from the piece of s**t metal figure holding her like that.
With an intense glare aimed at the figure's face, she aimed a kick at her captor's crotch. Was something there for her to hit? Hell if she knew! But it was better than doing nothing!

After spending a few minutes scaling, climbing and hovering up the slide, the platform finally came into view, followed the sound of…battle!?
Hel’s brows furrowed as she scrambled up the rest of the way, and firmly planted her feet on the platform and surveyed what was going on. What in Jack’s name!? The statues had come alive, and they had Mitsu and Riyo! The reaper cast a quick look at the plaque listing the slide she had just come up, storing away the note of the D before she summoned her weapon once more, ready to help her team mates out. Eventually. Hel cast a grin at Riyo. “Goodness! It seems you’re caught up at the moment, friend! You’ll have to tell me the tail once we make it to the bottom of this room!” Terrible, she knew, but she couldn’t help herself. The valkyrie noted that Shun managed to take a weapon away from the statue, and decided to go help him out first.
“Mot!” She called out to the cowboil. “We should all focus our efforts on freeing Mitsu first! All of us will then be able to help Riyo! Steel your nerves, friend.” Hel sneered, “We’ll be back for you!” The ghoul then charged over to the statue that was holding Mitsu captive and lased out at it with her spear, satisfied to see it dent underneath her weapon.

Hel pulled her spear back, intending to go at the statue again, and was mindful of where Shun and the others were on this narrowing platform. She struck out at the statue again, only to find that her strike did not affect it like it had before. The reaper gritted her teeth and tried again.

She struck out at the statue again, almost expecting to put another dent into it, but no such luck.
Ugh, they needed to hurry! They were wasting time wailing on these statues for they seemed to take a step forward regardless. The thought of going back to scout out the other slides as a strong factor in the valkyrie’s mind…but trying to fend off the statues with her team mates won at the moment.

Still frantically trying to free herself Mitsu continued to beat, pound, and claw at the metal figure. It wasn't entirely in vain it seemed. The more she panicked the stronger she became and she actually managed to pull away a small piece of metal from her effort.

Mitsu wasn't about to give up though. She had yet to be released. It felt like she was making headway but the statue seemed to be taking no further damage.
When beating it didn't seem to prove useful Mitsu mad an attempt to wiggle free but the statue's hold on her arm was firm. The yowl had caught her attention but Mitsu only really spared a glance to see that Riyo had been captured too.

The efforts against the statues was proving difficult, and this time, they took TWO steps forward, making it all the more difficult to not hit the edge. The attacks seem to just make them angrier..and harder to hurt.
Hint: Use your given talents! Something one of you might be able to do could possibly help!

Stepping back as the statues moved forward, Shun gritted his teeth before shooting a glance over at Hel. Time was running out for the rest of them and right now he wasn't sure if it was better for her to keep fighting with them or to continue seeking out a path quickly.
Either way, they would need to free Mitsu and Riyo first.
Raising the scythe, he let out a grunt before the brought it down onto the statue to finish it off.

Hel was happy to see Mitsu fight back, and even happier to see Shun take a swing at the statue with its own weapon, delivering some massive damage. Things just seemed to take a turn for the worst though when the statues took two steps forward this time, pushing them closer to the edge. Jack damn! Like Shun, the reaper was suddenly turn. She should try looking for the right slide…but at this rate it wouldn’t matter if they were all pushed off the ledge, so should she stay and fight?
If only there was a way to stop them…
Wait.
The valkyrie thought back to what Red had said when they arrived at the Haunted House, that they should very much consider the house alive. Well that made sense, seeing as how the statues were reacting to them…but…what she had in mind…would it work on living statues? Hel glanced over at ledge, then at her team mates, a brief moment of panic setting in. She had to try something, right? The ghoul took a deep breath, and then started sing loudly. More specifically, she started to lament, tapping into her ability to infuse her voice with FEAR. The reaper sung about what usually was common in her culture, a tale of battle, love, and loss, her eyes focused intently on the statues to see if it was affecting them at all.

Once Shun had the weapon it seemed he was able to deal out some massive damage. Would it be enough to free her? The lycan had no idea really and kept clawing away at the figure that held her. It was edging closer and closer to the ledge and she was running out of precious solid ground to stand on. Even if she was freed she was going to be forced to choose a slide. There was no way around it, they would have to go down.
"Shun!" She squeaked out, reaching for the reaper hoping to dislodge her arm from the statue's hold in the process. The thought of transforming crossed her mind but the ledge was narrowing too quickly. She would risk pushing the others off the side by doing so.

Riyo didn't seem to be making any dents on her own, and the situation escalated (in her mind) as Hel rejoined them.
Really? "Your puns hurt me more than the statue." The feline pointed out, her eyes widening as the object began to move closer to the edge. The ghoul's feet scrambled to keep up, though she quickly found that she was running out of foot room.
"HEY." The ghoul screeched, aiming her now balled fist for it's face. If nobody else was gonna help her, she would have to do it herself.
... Great.

Mot shook his head at Hel's suggestion. "I'm not turning my back on her. Sorry." To focus all attention on one statue made sense, but Mot just couldn't bring himself to leave Riyo alone.
Hel was singing at a time like this? The reaper loved hearing her sing but... perhaps it was some kind of Valkyrie thing? Either that or she was so distraught over their situation she was lamenting through song..
...probably not.
Mot tried to fire at the statue again, just in case Hel's song didn't do the trick.

OUCH.
Note to self: Don't punch metal statue.
Cringing as she pulled her fist back, the ghoul flailed it back and fourth as if the motion would ease the pain.
Which it didn't.
"FFffff."
Though, Riyo couldn't help but be surprised when another gunshot flew past the figure. Mot was still trying to free her?
"Mot." She yelled back, though was too busy trying to claw the metallic a*****e to look back. "Don't be a hero. I can wait." Mitsu was the one afraid of heights after all. Not that Riyo really WANTED to fall to her death.

When Shun swung the scythe home, the statue's grip on Mitsu ended, the figure's arm broken. That wasn't the only interesting thing, Hel's Lament echoed though out the room, and very suddenly, the turning gears began to slow until they came to a grinding halt. Riyo was still stuck however, but now that the statues aren't moving..it might be easier.
((Mitsu is free! Hel's lament has stopped the statues, but Riyo is still captive. To Damage the statues now, only subtract 4 from your rolls. ))
