Aurian eyed the spinning hippo. Well, it didn't seem to be doing anything terrible right now. Maybe they had some time. If Vaith wanted this precious, Aurian supposed she would help him.
"Maybe it's treasure?" she suggested. "Or a key to treasure?"
Who knew what an eight-legged hippo thought of as being precious. Maybe it was four pairs of special shoes, for all they knew. At least the lights were on, so whatever the item was, it would hopefully be easier to spot.
Aurian walked over to the hippo, slowly, as though she were approaching a deadly creature that was poised to strike. Was the hippo giving any indication of what it might be looking for? Or what direction it would be in? Or had the hippo lost the item, too?
"Is there any furniture in here? It could be hidden inside something, or behind it?"

exclaim As the group begins to move around...
The hippo begins kicking around, in an attempt to get itself to stop spinning.
"RAAARGGGHHH!!" It doesn't sound very happy... "YOU WILL NOT TAKE IT FROM MEEEEEEEEE." With its eight legs, it seems pretty likely to hit someone...
1. Aurian 2. Junko 3. Mai 4. Seiji 5. Vaith 6. -----
If you're rolled, -3hp~

AND IT WAS VAITH. UGHHH.
Figured, it was a fairly appropriate revenge.
"You know-- This only makes me want to take it more." Vaith wanted to suckerpunch that hippo except for the fact, it's legs were about four times the amount of his. He wasn't seeing a good chance here for revenge.
TIME TO GO FIND THAT PRECIOUS.

As Vaith was sucker-punched by the Spider Hippo Ballerina thing Junko gasped. "Vaith! Are you o...kay?" So this just made him more determined, eh? Junko frowned.
"Maybe by the paintings? I never did get over there..." She'd been stopped before. Junko slowly wiggled free of Seiji's hold on her and made her way to the paintings, walking steadier now..or as steady as one could walk on a large web covered with spiders.

Glowing eyes widened as thehippospider suddenly clocked Vaith in the face. "s**t bro, you ok?" His grip on Junko tightening before the ghoul wiggled free from from him, grunting in protest as he reached after her and only managed to grab air. So they wanted to stay and investigate, fine. Seiji would go along with this, perhaps not happily, but he would certainly support his team.
"J," he was quick to follow after her, one eye on the spinning beast in the center of the room, and one on the web beneath to avoid a nasty fall. "Give that thing a wide breadth, ok." Hugging the walls as they moved around seemed like a wonderful idea at the moment.
He too stopped at one of the paintings and gave the image within the frame a careful look over.

exclaim are you sure?
The first painting Seiji stops at shows a picture of Junko.. but there's something odd about it. The painting depicts her screaming, and she's posed as if she's trying to escape from the frame. In the background, there's a hooded figure wielding a scythe, metal reflecting the light of a red moon.
What could it mean?
The room begins to shake as the hippospider starts thrashing around, still yelling in anger. It starts swinging instead of spinning, and the spun-silk thread it hangs from seems to be wearing out soon...
1. Aurian 2. Junko 3. Mai 4. Seiji

Junko looked back at Seiji as he warned her to give the Spider Hippo Ballerina a wide birth, nodding her head and following closely alongside him in an effort to avoid the Hippo Spider Ballerina. She walked up to the painting and looked up at it..and she did not like what she saw. Why was there a painting of her in this place? How did they even..? She clung to Seiji's arm, eyes wide and swallowing hard. What did this even mean? Escaping from a portrait? Junko didn't want to find out. She tugged at Seiji's arm, biting down on her lip a moment before looking Vaith, Aurian and Mai's way. "Out. Out. We're leaving now." Junko tugged at Seiji's arm in the direction of the ladder.
This was not up for discussion. Not with Junko. As far as she was concerned they were leaving now, especially with the hippo getting angrier and angrier. It hit Aurian and she growled. Stupid Hippo Spider Ballerina! Junko waded through the spiders, not caring if they bit at her, and climbed up the ladder.

Red eyes went wide at the content of the picture he'd stopped in front of, lips curling into a deep scowl beneath the cover of his face mask. It was Junko, and not just her, but her worst memory from their last field trip, hell, of her life maybe. He tensed when he felt the ghoul walk up beside him, and turned to look down at her as she stared up at the painting. Dark hand closing around her arm in some effort to be comforting.
He wouldn't argue when she insisted they leave, in fact he agreed. "Yeah, let's go." He turned when she did, and helped Junko up the ladder before turning and offering Aurian a helpful hand, she had just been knocked around by the hippo thing. "Come on guys."
When he'd made sure everyone was either on the ladder or on their way to it he climbed up himself, shutting his eyes as he climbed through the writhing mass of spiders, ignoring the legs and any bites that might have come from them. He was grateful for the thin bit of fabric over his mouth and Mouth, that was for sure. It didn't matter how many there were though, or how tall the ladder was, they were getting out of there, now.

exclaim DECISION TIEMZ?!! biggrin
As Seiji begins climbing the ladder, the hippo swings into him, damaging him for 3hp. It scrabbles to regain balance, clinging to his hair and dragging him down with its weight, but ends up falling as the silk thread it hangs from snaps.
The hippo falls with a scream, tearing a huge hole in the middle of the web. It's still holding onto Seiji, yanking the boy forcefully off the ladder and down into the black unknown.
That's really gotta hurt....

It becomes apparent quickly that this next room is out of place. As far as you can tell, the entire room is made out of mirrors: mirror wall, mirror floor, mirror furnitu- is that a mirror toilet? Pity it's not flushable. There aren't any walls around it either, making it a poor choice to use for a potty break if you wanted to use it. Why are you even thinking about it, anyway?! You should have gone before you left! Either way, the only thing that isn't a mirror in this room is the ceiling. There's that going for you. Navigating this room, on the other hand... It's bad enough that your reflections in some mirror are twisted and warped, and the reflections in the 'normal' mirrors depict yourselves being tortured in some way or another- you are seeing your worst nightmares happening. It's worse still to realize that what you get to go through is a mirror maze. Quote: OOC: To brave the mirror maze, you will need to go through four sections. You will begin at different locations of section 1. Aurian(1), Junko(2), Mai(3) and Vaith(4) will start separately; Seiji needs to roll 1d4 to determine who he joins (he will be falling from above), in the order listed above. You may only meet up with your fellow group members when you have cleared section 1. All students will need to individually clear the maze for the puzzle to be considered solved. At random moments, I will be popping in with GM posts; otherwise, feel free to keep rolling. You do NOT need to wait for your groupmates to post unless you are with them (ie. section 2 and onwards, unless you're Seiji), as you are starting in different locations. Please remember to roll the dice specific to the section you are in: Section 1: 1d61, 3, 5: You stumble around, disoriented. Roll again. 2, 4: Success! You make it through the first part. Proceed to Section 2. 6: SCREW THIS! You become frustrated. Or angry. Or very sad over the fact that you're lost. Whatever you're feeling, you manage to hurt yourself for -2 HP. Roll again. Section 2: 1d81, 2: After walking around for three minutes, you realize that you're right back where you started. Roll again. 3, 8: While navigating the mirror maze, you manage to trip over a mirror-table and nearly drop a mirror-vase filled with mirror-flowers. You klutz! Take -1 HP damage. Then reroll. 4, 5: Success! That wasn't too bad. You proceed on to Section 3.6: You come across a mirror-toilet, and decide to spend a little while there. Mirror epiphany toilet! It doesn't seem to have gotten you any further along, though.. 7: How did you...? Somehow, you made it back to Section 1. Please scroll up and roll a 1d6 and follow the listings there. Section 3: 1d101: Hello, person, look at your maze, now back to me, now back at your maze, now back to me. Sadly, you're alone in this maze, but if you stopped getting separated from your group and started keeping a close eye on everyone, you could be as awesome as me. Look down, back up, where are you? You're still in the maze being watched by the GM running this room. What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's the luck you need to get through this maze to proceed on. Look again, the luck is now a minipet. Anything is possible when you roll a one in the middle of a dice game. You need to reroll a 1d10 and quote Marushii with your minis SN. 2, 3, 4: You're so lost. So, so lost. So reroll and try again! 5, 6: You made it! You continue on to the final section, Section 4. 7: You're lost. So, so very lost. What do you do? Easy: you follow someone. Pick a random group member, don't look at their roll. Treat what they got, what you got. Reroll or proceed as needed. 8: No. No. Hell no. You did not just go back to Section 1. But you totally did. Except you somehow navigated it and Section 2, lucky you. Reroll 1d10 and try again. 9, 10: Yep. Still lost. Reroll the 1d10. Section 4: 1d121: Uggggh this maze is so trippy! First you move and it's like. WOW! So many other-reflecections of you move too! It's so disorienting! You need to roll again as a result. 2: Navigating the maze would be easier if you stopped trying to walk INTO the mirrors. Take -1 HP damage and reroll. 3: When you see it, you can't believe your eyes. There's... There's a mirror-couch. A couch made out of mirrors. It's not comfortable to sit on, but it's sturdy enough to stand on. You use it as a boost to peer over the side of the mirror-walls and look around. There's the exit! You cheating cheater: you navigate your way to the exit. 4: You have just about HAD it with this maze! Maybe you're angry. Maybe you're filled with despair. No matter what you feel, you either accidentally or on purpose give the wall a good shove. It falls over. Then it knocks down the mirror-wall after that, and the one after that, and the one after that until you have a clear path to the exit. It's too bad the walls sprung back up before you could run across them! Try again. 5: Navigating the maze would be easier if you paid more attention to where you were. You manage to hurt yourself for -1 damage. Reroll. 6: Through much trial and error, you manage to find the exit. Horray! Now all you need to do is wait at the exit for the rest of your group... 7: You have just about HAD it with this maze! Maybe you're angry. Maybe you're filled with despair. No matter what you feel, you either accidentally or on purpose give the wall a good shove. It falls over. Then it knocks down the mirror-wall after that, and the one after that, and the one after that until you have a clear path to the exit. Lucky break! You run across the fallen mirrors and reach the exit. Behind you, the mirrors spring back up into place. 8: Feeling lucky, you take random twists and turns... and get nowhere fast. Roll again. 9: When you see it, you can't believe your eyes. There's... There's a mirror-couch. A couch made out of mirrors. It's not comfortable to sit on, but it's sturdy enough to stand on. You use it as a boost to peer over the side of the mirror-walls and look around. There's the exit! You abuse this knowledge to reach the exit, except the exit isn't where you remembered it to be. In fact, you turned yourself around. Go back to Section 3 and reroll a 1d10. 10: You are so, so lost. But that's okay! You manage to find someone else in your group who's also lost and in Section 4. Through teamwork, the magic of friendship, and dumb luck the pair of you manage to make it to the end! Pick someone who is in Section 4 at the same time as you. Both of you exit the maze. You must pick someone at the exact time you roll a 10; you may not wait for another team member to get into section 4. If no one else is in your section, proceed by yourself to the exit.11: You navigate this section of the mirror-room with ease. Why is everyone else having so much trouble? Your section of the maze is a large empty mirror-chamber. It feels like whoever built the maze forgot to add twists and turns to this area: it's an open room with nothing in your way. You practically waltz to the exit. 12: You know what's awesome about mirrors? Mirrors break. Sure there's the whole "Seven Years Bad Luck" thing associated with them, but you know what? Stuff that. You pick up a mirror-object and throw it at a mirror-wall and proceed with the destruction. You smash your way out of the maze, unaware that the maze is repairing itself behind you. You're out, but at what cost? If the next room requires you to roll a dice, you will AUTO FAIL that roll. If the next room does NOT require a dice roll, then you get away. Scott free. Lucky you.

Something crashed into the ghost boil as he was climbing, staggering him and making him cry out, both stunned and hurt. Eyes going wide as he nearly fell right off the ladder before catching himself at the last possible second Not that it'd do any good though. His head jerked back no more then a second later, another strangled cry torn from his throat as the hippo took hold of his hair. He didn't know the damn thing was falling, it didn't matter, all that matter was the insane amount of pressure being forced on his head and neck and his slipping ********!" The curse was loud and meaningful and immediately followed by a serious of shocked protests as his hands slipped away from the bars and he fell backwards.
Somehow he knew he there wouldn't be web to land on, and that knowledge was there in wide, red eyes as he fell backwards, past the paintings, and down towards the pool of light far, far below them. Terrifying memories of a very similar fall making it all the more panic inducing. He knew this was a test, that Red and the other Bogeymen had set everything up, but fears were fears. Seiji didn't like falling, not after he'd died back on that island.

"Ugh." Vaith couldnt ignore the pain that the hippo left behind, a bruise that wouldn't be going away anytime soon. The more legs, the more pain .. Although Vaith wasn't sure if he wanted more than two legs. Vaith could barely stomach looking at the mirrors, his hand reaching behind his neck as if to pull up the fluff of his cape, possibly to retch in, confusion clouding his mind as his cape was no longer there.
The stuff gauntlet reminded him that he wasn't in his usual outfit, looking back at the blank space where his cape had been. He really shouldn't have, his eyes catching sight of himself in another mirror, impaled by verrrrry familiar noise like markings. Vaith blanched, his expression frozen in a twisted mirror to the side. His leg kicked up, in a adrenaline rush of fear and blind destruction, against the hard mirror. Even the ringing of pain in his flimsy slipper footing didn't cease his blind frenzy -- too many images ran through Vaith's head, none of them comfirting-- One could see the his crimson red eyes dimming to a uncertain shade of earth brown, clouded over with tens of reflections around him.
Nobody knew how large the mirror maze was. But it was possible someone might have heard the boil's furious grunts and rush of breath-- Something inside of Vaith had taken his ability to scream or even coherently talk-- it was a suffocating feeling, closed in by images of death surrounding him. He was supposed to be a reaper-- He wasn't supposed to be fazed. But he was.
Whatever he was going through might have split the reaper apart until he felt a sharp claw against his cheek, leaving a thin lining of blood. It was a mere scratch .. but a scratch was enough to bring him back more than his fierce attempts at kicking the mirror.
In his vision was a familiar tail curling in front of his eyes .. Note, the reaper's familiar had soulful red eyes that stared into Vaith's own .. And his own image, not a warped mirror one, reflected. The haze cleared to a delayed exhaustion.
".. I guess I went a little crazy. God, I hope everyone else is doing better than I am."
He walked, the comforting flick of his familiar's body against the back of his neck and cheeks, bringing him to reality. The discomfort and apprehension never left but his anxiety was considerably lessened. Before he knew it, he was out. Actually, he didnt even know he was out of section one.

"What? Why?" Aurian asked as Junko suddenly demanded that they leave. She allowed herself to be swept along with the others, but with no knowledge beyond the fact that something had Junko very scared. They burst into a new room. Aurian was distracted by the sudden reflections everywhere. There was dozens of her, but suddenly no one else. She turned around. There was no sign of the others, just equally confused reflections. "Jackdammit," she sighed. On her own again - it seemed to be how these adventures went down for her. At least until something fell from above, screaming "******** stepped back hastily as something - rather, someone - fell to the floor. Wait, he looked familar. "Seiji?!" Aurian rushed over to help the boil. "Are you okay? Is anything broken?" Red eyes glanced up, trying to pierce the darkness. That wasn't a short drop. Aurian had nasty pain in her side from being kicked by the hippo, some bruising beginning to show under the mesh of her top already, but otherwise she was fine. "If you can walk, we should find the others," she told Seiji. The idea of the hippo or soemthing like it being in here while they were split up didn't appeal to her AT ALL. Vaith didn't see the mirror table in front of him-- Hell, everything looked like mirrors, how was a mirror supposed to be distinguished from a mirror? He fell forward, the brief image of glass and mirrors impaling his face to a bloody mess reflected in the deathly mirror table. For a split second, he nearly thought it was real .. One hand instinctively bent upwards to shield himself .. In a difficult moment of momentum, he forced his body to turn so that te back faced the edge of the mirror table .. and something crashed. He fell against the sharp edge of the table, a blunted sensation damage running through the curve of his back. Blunt .. but it hadn't sliced him. But something had made that sound, if not the table breaking in, what was it?
It wasnt his skull, he realized dumbly.
It was a vase, next to him. Mirror shards broke and bits of his arm that had shielded himself took the brunt of the miniscule cuts.
"I'm okay." He told Note .. That sentence was pretty much his mantra at this point. He wondered if it was possible to see Mai, Aurian, Junko or Seiji soon .. He was worried about them. But the mirrors continuously interrupted his thoughts of concern, with more pictures playing scenarios of death.HP: 24

The first cry got Junko's attention immediately. It could have been anyone, Mai, Aurian, Vaith, Seiji; it didn't matter. Being Seiji just made it worse. She stopped near the top of the ladder and looking down at Seiji with widened eyes. No...! He caught himself and she sighed with relief, a sigh that became a strangled cry as the hippo came back and grabbed him by the hair. "NO!" Even with three other people in their way Junko had gripped the ladder with one arm around the rung above her and reached out with her other hand to try and catch him, but to no avail. He swore and he fell down into the dark abyss below them, and she watched him fall until even the glow of his eyes faded from her light of sight. "S-SEIJI? SEIJI! NO!" Not again! Not again not again not again! Her vision blurred with tears even as her hair wrapped itself around her neck and forced her head to turn, whatever wasn't around her neck reaching out to wrap around the ladder and force her body against it. " Keep. Going." The Mistress growled, and continued to growl until Junko whimpered and continued up the ladder. They entered the next room and Junko crawled up out of the hole into the floor, sliding blindly away from the rest of the group to bring her knees to her chest and hug them, her face against her knees. She didn't care if this looked pathetic in front of them. They weren't there last time. They didn't see him fall twice now. Falling. Why did he have to fall? That idiot! Why did he go last?! It should have been her. It'd been her idea in the first place. This was all her fault. He hadn't wanted to go, he hadn't wanted her to go. He was only here because she insisted on going. And now he was gone again! He was right! He was right all along! She sobbed into her knees, the cries echoing off the walls she had yet to even look at, muttering apologies through her gasps and hiccups and whimpers. "Junko..." The Mistress sighed now, a bit of hair stroking the ghoul's arm. But she just kept crying. "...Junko." No answer other than another shuddered sob. " Junko." The Mistress now forced Junko's head up and back, pulling the mask that she wore for decoration off her head and slapping her across the face with it with a loud, resounding SMACK! that echoed off the mirror walls. Junko gasped, eyes wide and staring at the mask in shock. Th..that hurt! "You deserved that you sniveling twit. Seiji fell. Get over it. Red said that you would all be okay. Now you know what you're going to do? You're going to get off your a**, and suck it up." The mask was tossed aside and Junko whimpered, rubbing at her cheek. Owwwww. "Get. up." She hissed. It took her a minute before she finally got up off the ground, stumbling to pick up the mask. It was then that she realized she was completely alone. "...Aurian? Mai?" Junko hiccuped and took a few steps through the room, staring at her many reflections. "Vaith? ......Seiji?" Nothing. She was alone. She heard a scream, a scream that sounded like her own, and she whirled around on her heel in time to see her hair sheered off like a sheep's wool. Junko let out a scream of her own, her hands flying to her head to stop the hooded figure in the reflection of...nothing? She heard more crying and turned, watching as her own hair was set on fire and burned off. More screaming, but now it was Lizzy's voice. The ghoul was being hung from a the top of the mirror by a flimsy thread of silk above a pit of terrible sharp points. She heard Yaya, the ghoul was stuck on a platform surrounded by flames licking at her feet. Riley?! O-oh Jack...her tentacles..wh-where were her tentacles?! Why were they on the ground!? Junko's breathing nearly stopped as she backed away from the mirrors, most reflecting herself with her hair being cut, burned, sliced, ripped, torn and mutilated while others showed those she loved being given the same treatment. One in particular made her want to throw up, putting a hand against a mirror to catch her balance. It was Seiji. He was falling, endlessly falling. "What is this?!" Junko turned on her heel and ran down the first path she saw, her hands over her ears and her eyes closed tightly. She slammed into a wall and fell back, wincing. "...Idiot. You think you deserve control of this body? You might as well give up now if this is the best you can do." Junko opened her eyes, narrowing them and glaring at her twisted reflection. She stood sharply, pulling the mask down over her face. The Mistress snorted. "What? Too ashamed of your ugly fa--" "Shut the hell up." Junko snapped, eyes narrowed through the eye slits of the mask covering her face. This would help. She couldn't let herself be thrown off by her own reflection. Junko continued walking. Quote: Section 1: 1d61, 3, 5: You stumble around, disoriented. Roll again. 2, 4: Success! You make it through the first part. Proceed to Section 2. 6: SCREW THIS! You become frustrated. Or angry.
