"I don't needs to see yehr art. I trust yeh. But now that yeh mentions it, are yeh telling me yeh dids yehr own arms for tattooings?" She leaned in and got a good look at the detail on the tattoos, whistling low. "That can't be easy! Tattoo yehr own arms, I mean. They looks beautiful!"
She stood up straight, and stretched, before dropping on the couch again and dropping her legs carefully on Lattice's lap. "Okays. Yeh lets me know if yeh comes up with good tattoos for leg. I am very much excited, ja!"
She started to sink into her couch, and put her hands behind her head to compensate. "I should buys some nice shoes, so my boots don't covers them when I has them. Where are there places to buys things here, do you knows?"

Lattice nodded a bit, "Thank you. I am honored to hear that you like them it wasn't easy doing them," she admitted, "but it is our first trial when we reach a certain age." As soon as she was old enough to hold her hands steady she was tasked with the project she remembered the pain and pride she felt that day.
"I will. I am excited as well. It shall be a wonderful adventure for us," the Engraver replied almost sounding chipper carefully she rested the palm of her hands against the Valkyrie's legs. Lattice wasn't in any particular hurry to get anywhere.
Thoughtfully she nodded, "There are a couple of places at the maul, have you ever been?" Lattice hadn't gone to a maul before until she had come to the academy - was it the same for Freya? The ghoul didn't know.

Freya moved her legs back and forth, coaxing a stroking from Lattice. Was she a needy little touchy feely thing? You betcha.
"Oh, ja! I has been to the maul many times, but nots the ones here, only the ones at home. I don't know where the ones here is, maybe you tell me? I could use more than just new shoes. Now that I am thinkings on it, are there parties here a lot? If I needs some new clothes for parties time, that would be good to knows before I go to the mauls!"

It didn't take much encouragement before Lattice's hands moved on their own volition pretty much gently petting the Valkyrie's legs with no real issue about it at all, much like the tummy rubbing earlier it was just nice.
"Oh, I will gladly tell you or I can show you, whichever you prefer. If I show you it can be our first outing together," She offered quietly. The subject of parties made Lattice fall silent for a moment before her shoulders shifted into a shrug, "There haven't been any parties since I came to school though just prior there had been a giant festival and then there was an election, there are many events that happen here."

"Ach, events. That sounds so formal." She snickered, closing her eyes as Lattice petted her legs. It reminded her of the way it was back home, with all of the ghouls smushed up together in a pile, snuggled up and petting one another with comforting sisterly touches. "But I guess they needs nice clothes, too. Maybe a formal dress! I has not bought formal wear for some times. Oh how exciting!" She propped herself up on her elbows, and grinned at Lattice. "We'll go togethers soon. I have to wait until Papa sends me allowance, before we go. But then, then we buys everything!"
She'd probably end up spending half her money on food, knowing her.. but she was determined to at least get one new pair of shoes, and a dress!
Everything else could wait.
"I am a little sads I missed a festival. Maybe soon we goes on that field trip I signed up for when I comes here, hah? I has enough clothes for that. Sneakers, shorts, shirts, og så videre. What else shoulds I bring to a fields trip?"

Lattice chuckled softly, "I guess it sounds formal but I don't know if you'd call them parties or not...They even had an open house at one point. My sister and I attended the Open House and the festival they had. They were both fairly enjoyable," though the Festival came with a rather abrupt attack of a beast. "I look forward to going to the maul with you."
"I signed up for that as well, maybe we will get to spend more time together there," Lattice smiled lightly she'd hoped her Sister would come along as well but right now it was up in the air. She tilted her head a bit, "I don't know what all one should bring, I suppose just whatever you think is important."
The ghoul seemed thoughtful, "What is it like to have different clothes? A friend of mine seemed startled when I said I only had a wardrobe full of clothes similar to what I wear now."

Whoever this friend of hers was, Freya was about to match them with her own startled look. She bent forward just a bit, and stared. "Really? Your clothings is lovely, Lattice, but.. thats is all you wears all the times? Do you do gyms class in that? Or maybe go outs dancing and wants to look sexy? Maybe our trips to the maul won't just be for me, hah? I wouldn't mind seeing you in.. ah.."
Her head cocked as she considered it. "A bathing suit for swimming times. Or maybe a short skirt. Does Lattice has nice legs under there?"

Lattice naturally didn't see the startled look but she did hear it in the voice and the ghoul could do nothing but offer a shrug, "Our outfit allows us to move freely and easily and they also allow us to show off our tattoos, most of our Elders get to the point where they don't really wear tops anymore because of the art they imprinted on their own skin," Lattice almost sounded dreamy at this fact almost as if she hoped she'd reach that point herself one day.
She snapped out of it after a second, "A...And well we do not have need to look sexy..."
Engravers weren't out to get mates.
"I..I guess my legs look okay..I have never worn a bathing suit before or a skirt shorter than what I am currently wearing," she murmured a bit. Not that showing off flesh was a taboo it just wasn't part of the 'outfit' they all traditionally wore.

Lattice blinked behind her mask and for all the things she should or should not be doing she couldn't think of a single reason why it'd be inappropriate to show off her legs to someone that wanted to see them. They were alone, they were both female. Still, her cheeks tinged again and she nodded, "Certainly you may."
It was no issue for Lattice to pull up the cloth a bit more to show off her pale legs and feet she sat still and waited for the verdict from Freya since the ghoul seemed to know all about sex appeal and what looked good.

Freya got a good look, and nodded. "Oh, ja, you have very pretty legs! We needs to buy you some short skirts, maybe we shows off your nice butts too hmm? We will have lots of fun! I will tells you the minute my allowance comes in."
She almost wished she had her own form of income, just so she didn't have to wait for dear ol' papa to send her money for frivolous things. Like shoes. And beef.
"What do you sleep in? Like, you has pajamas, yes?" She dropped her head back on the owl pillow and looked up at the ceiling. "My pajamas has little hammers on them." Her cheeks turned a rosy red at the thought, and she was thankful that Lattice would have no idea why.

....More staring...
"...I..I have a nice butt? Is that important?" The idea of having a nice rear end didn't really occur to the Engraver. Such things weren't really looked for amongst her kind, they weren't really considered an important feature but the art placed on said rear end was (if any art was on it at all). The idea that a plain rear end could be 'good looking' seemed to intrigue the Engraver.
This one was easier to answer, "I sleep naked."
There was no shyness to it, no hesitation, just a simple statement saying that she slept in the buff and was unashamed to admit it.
The Engraver didn't stop there either, "Sometimes me and my Sister sleep together naked. It is very comfortable."

Freya couldn't help but giggle. Sleeping naked sounded.. naughty. She couldn't place why, maybe it was because she had never had her own room before, and slept with several sisters at a time, but just.. all the boobies and bodies smushing together - and if they had been naked?
It made her giggle.
"Ja, you has no idea how many body parts are important to the boils, hah? They likes a good rack, nice legs, a nice a**, and some of thems are obsessed with hair, while others are all about eye- iii don't know, all kinds of things." Had she caught her faux paus fast enough? Maybe, maybe not. She didn't want to make Lattice feel inadequate, after all. "Boils are shallow, and selfish, and they thinks with their pants. You has to be careful, but you also wants to look nice so you has some fun."
It sounded a little contradictory, but Freya wasn't some rocket scientist. She wanted boils to like her, but she didn't want to like boils. So what? She was nineteen, and clearly not really thinking things through.
"Do you wants to try on one of my little skirts, see if you looks nice in them?"

Lattice noted the giggle and wasn't certain what was so funny but she let it fly. The Valkyrie was just a very happy individual!
"It isn't something commonly discussed amongst us, no. We do not seek mates so I do not know what would be best to attract one," Lattice replied thoughtfully and then fell silent to listen to the list that Freya gave. Lattice tilted her head, "Boils like racks? I suppose some antlers are very nice..."
There was another concept, "Boils have brains in their pants?" The Engraver was learning new things today! So many new things.
"If...If you would like me to I will. I do not know if I will look nice in any of them. I do not wish to accidentally tear your clothes," Lattice responded quietly.

Ohhh Lattice. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Lattice. Freya looked at her new friend with awe and mischief on her eyes. She was so beautifully innocent. So deliciously uninformed. Slang meant nothing to her. Freya looked at Lattice, and saw a blank slate.
And she was ready to make some fine art.
"I'm going to read yeh a book one day, Lattice. All about boils. And their fiddly bits. And I am going to show yeh the world. Shinings, shimmerings, splendid. Tell me Lattice, now whens did yeh last let your heart decide?"
She chuckled softly and pushed herself off the couch, heading for the closet. "I wants to see Lattice in something red. Mmm. And leather. Here, we try this on, yes?"
Oh, it was a red leather mini all right. The shortest little mini ever. And no, Freya wasn't really offering a shirt to go with it.
