Life can teach a person many things, the question is: Do you listen?
Avalon swatted the first fish over. It landed just in front of Yoka. As he swept up the fish he began to think, He doesn't like the cold and winter is around the corner. I need to remember to get a lot of blankets then. A couple of thick ones should help keep Yoka warm. I'll do the hunting then since I don't mind the the cold. He swept up the next one it went a little farther than he thought it would but it was too far from the stream just to flop itself back in. "How many do you want?

Avalon blushed a bright red a few fish slipping past him as his gaze snapped up to look at Yoka. Dear? He never really thought he'd be called that in... well, ever. He soon smiled and turned his attention back to the stream quickly snatching up two more fish. He stepped out of the stream and shook the access water from his fur before he walked over to Yoka and licked his cheek, "Let's get home." He picked up two of the fish and waited for him.

Avalon nodded as Yoka spoke about there new home. "We'll need a lot of blankets for our bed. Pillows too... somewhere warm... the back of the cave should do for bowls and kits..." He spoke calmly as they walked. He planned on having a big family so the spot was necessarily mentioned since they were talking about the decor of the cave.

Yoka smiled as he thought of having kits of his own."All right.I can make a spot back there for a fire so that it stays warm.Maybe we can find some feathers and fur and other stuff like that to keep it warmer."He was happy to think of caring for a family of his own.

Avalon smiled and kissed him lightly when they got to the cave and set down the fish. "Let's get a fire started and eat before we start moving everything in." He paused and sighed looking at the wet ground. "Never mind."

Avalon nodded, "I'll also bring some things for the cave." He headed out then trotting off into the trees to his old home pulling the contents from in and tied then in a bundle on his back. Then he went to work on finding the wood for the fire, which, surprisingly, he found a great deal under a large tree with big leaves that kept the wood from getting too damp. He headed back toward the cave with the large load and couldn't help but smile. Who would have thought that he would have found a mate so quickly? He certainly didn't but he was glad to have Yoka. He was such a cute little thing and soon, with luck, they would have children of their own. He reached the cave and grinned as he laid the bundle down, "I'm home!"

Yoka smiled brightly."thats great. All the water will be gone when you get back....you better have a blanket cause i'm going to need it."He got to work sweeping out the water with his tail.He was a great cleaner with his tail so this was no different to him then doing that.Soon most of the water was gone and most of the cave floor was dry."Welcome back honey."He smiled at his work then looked to his love."Where should we have the fire place at?"

Avalon draped the blanket over Yoka and moved towards the back of the cave. On one side he dug a pit for the fire. "We'll put stones around it later." He set the wood in the hole and lit a match with a few pieces of paper placed in with the wood and started the fire. "Come and get warm, I'll get the fish."

Avalon smiled as he brought the fish over and a long stick stuck in each mouth so that they could go into the fire. He nuzzled Yoka, "Soon...." He put the fish to where they'd cook but not too quickly. Then he began arranging their bed on the wall across from the fire. It was a start they'd have to get more supplies. He moved back to the fish and turned them before he sat down his fur drying out from being in the river.
