Marie blinked for a few moments before chasing after Pepper. Alright then. How to get close enough to Pepper to tag her....Marie's eyes scanned from side to side before she dashed off in a direction that was perpendicular to Pepper's path, then veered to where she was running parralell of her. Okay, so maybe the chase was enjoyable. But Marie wasn't going to tell Pepper that. Nope. No way. Not on her life.

Pepper let out a soft laugh and took a sharp turn to the left and ran. She wasn't even running full force coming from a family of runners she could really go but no she was keeping at a brisk playful pace.

Marie stumbled a bit at Pepper's sudden turn. Managing not to fall and get yet another mouthful of dirt, Marie changed direction as well. She constantly scanned to see if she could find a way to catch up to the other female. The tri-colored vixen grinned as she saw a path leading to slightly higher ground.
Taking a chance that she'd actually be able to use that to tag Pepper, Marie climbed, and climbed, and climbed. She picked up her pace, keeping one eye on the route in front of her, the other on Pepper below. "Here goes nothing," Marie muttered, and jumped over the edge.

Pepper was almost unaware of where Marie was. She was doing her best not to burst out into laughter. If she did that she would stumble and be unable to run. She quickly glanced up as a shadow passed over her. It was Marie, she was launching her self at her. Letting out a high pitched "EEEP" she lurched forward and dashed away just barely missing getting pounced on.

Marie took a nosedive into the ground. It took a few seconds before she could lift her face up to spit out the leaves and dirt. How could she have missed? She had timed it right didn't she? Apparently not or she would have tagged Pepper.
Marie pushed herself off of the ground and stood still, waiting for the forest to stop spinning before dashing off after Pepper again, altough a bit wobbly.

As Pepper made a run for she heard a crash behind her. The sound let her know that Marie in her attempt to tag her hit the ground instead. Marie most of gotten dirt in her mouth when she fell because Pepper could hear her sputtering away.
She glanced back to see Marie standing and wobbling around. She slowed down to a stop unsure if the other vixen was okay...maybe she should call off the game or pause it to check on her.

Marie made her way towards Pepper, trying to walk in a straight line. She squinted and blinked, staring at the other female. "No fair! How am I supposed to catch three of you?" How did Pepper multiply herself anyways.
Wait, said the rational voice in her head. No fox was able to multiply themselves. It was not possible. Marie plopped down onto the ground and put her head in her paws, closing her eyes. She must have hit her head harder than she thought.

Pepper stood there watching as Marie stumble trying to get to her. Her ears popped up when the other vixen said that there was three of her. "Um... I think we should pause this game. I don't think your okay," she said with worry in her tone.
Not letting the other vixen say yes or no to her suggestion of pausing the game she ran back to the tri-colored vixen. She sat down in front of her and looked at her head gently moving it with her paw.

Marie winced as Pepper started moving her head. "Do you have to be so rough?" It felt like her head was about to pop off. She closed her eyes tightly, hoping that the pain would go away soon.
"Since you're touching me, and I'm touching you...does that mean we're in a continuous loop of tag?" Yeah...something had to be wrong with her. Never would Marie try to make a joke.

Pepper felt bad as she tried to not hurt Marie more. "Sorry I'm really not trying to," She said softly as she gazed at the vixen's head. "It looks like you have a good lump.... I don't think you should move for a bit."[/b
Pepper giggled "Yeah it's a never ending loop which means we both win and lose. Cause jumping away we wont know who has the tag and than the game is over."

"Sounds like a good idea...." Marie laid down on the ground again, eyes still closed, head on her paws. "Speaking of ideas, who's bright idea was it to play tag?" If it was Marie, oh well, she couldn't blame herself. She really shouldn't be blaming Pepper either. Except for the female never seemed to leave her alone when Marie wanted her to.
Why was that? And why wasn't Marie being more forceful in shoving Pepper away? Oh dieties...it couldn't be that Marie was glad Pepper was around was it? Heck, Marie could hardly put up with Russ. Now she was okay with Pepper? Nu uh. No way.

She felt bad as she watched Marie lay down because it was her idea and now her friend had gotten hurt....that didn't seem like something a good friend would do. So she softly spoke up"It was mine and I'm sorry," before placing her paw at the base of the other vixens neck and stroked down her back. She did this several more times while they waited.

Marie growled. "Why should you be sorry? It was my stupid idea to jump from a damn cliff." What was it with foxes and apologizing for everything? It was annoying. Besides, Marie agreed to play.
Marie squeezed her eyes shut. Now she was trying to rationalize why Pepper wasn't at fault? Dieties she must have hit her head harder than she had thought. If Pepper wanted to take the blame let- Marie jumped as she felt Pepper stroke her back.
The female wiggled. "Stop that!" She curled her tail closer to her body. "It tickles."

"Because you hurt your self playing a game with me. Though yes it was you that jumped it doesn't mean I can't feel bad cause you got hurt," Pepper mentioned as she watched the cute vixen.
"Oh does it now?" she asked with a mischievous grin and began to do it more. Maybe this was a way to have Marie to have fun. Like she said there was many different ways for someone to have fun.

Marie was squirming now "Nnnnn..." Her tail twitched and she tried to turn around to bat at Pepper to get her to stop. Maybe if she actually landed a hit the vixen would stop torturing her.
Marie gritted her teeth to keep the bubble of laughter that was building inside of her to stay there. "Well I wanted to play the game alright. No need to feel sorry or bad."
