Ah! The deer dashing at him frightened the male at first, ears whipping back and eyes widening in sheer shock. He was.... he was going to die! The small male froze, then suddenly he darted away. It was far to big for him. Though... he took over, frightening the deer to a exposed root, watching it trip over it and fall down, squirming and flailing.
This wasn't good. Carefully, the small fox moved from its back, finding its neck and biting down. Ugh. That was tougher then it had to be. When it stopped moving he stepped back, looked at Russ, and whined. "I'm terrible at hunting..."

Russ blew a raspberry at Ryu and he loped over to him. "What nonsense are you spouting? You took one down man! Sure it was rough at first, but you got him didn't you?" He slapped Ryu lightly on the shoulder. "Good job!"
A very good job yes. Neither of them were hurt. The fallen prey was big enough to last for awhile it seemed. And Ryu...Russ looked at Ryu. "You okay?" His first kill, and Russ didn't know how Ryu was feeling. "Ready to eat?"

Hmmm. He was a vegetarian, had never eaten meat, so he had no idea that once he ate he would feel sick for consuming so much meat. Currently? It seemed like a splendid idea~
"Lets do this~" He chirped, wrapping his tail around Russ's tail briefly, grinning. Moving over to the deer he poked at it, looked up, and pouted.
"Uh.. How do you do this?"

Russ's face darkened as a blush crept onto his face about the tail contact, but he grinned as well. Even if it wasn't intentional, if it was still the adrenaline from the kill, Ryu didn't seem to be afraid to touch another male.
Russ moved to be a little behind Ryu. Reaching around the other male, Russ poked at the stomach and neck of the deer. "The stomach really is the best place to eat, as the legs tend to be more muscle than anything, which is hard to eat." Dieties did Ryu look cute when he blushed.
"Pretty much all you do now is bite down and pull. It'll come away from him." Russ laughed. "Of course we might have to wash up afterwards depending on how much blood we get on us."

He looked up when he felt warmth near him, oh. OH. Russ was right behind him. His tail twitched, ears flipping for a second as he felt his heart skip a beat for a second. W-what? What was that? Never mind that.... He looked down quickly, nodding. Right! This was going to be a huge change, let's do it~
"Right, I got it."
Moving forward, he bit down. Gah! Such a metallic taste, but it wasn't bad. Startled, the male kept his grip firm and ripped. The mere violence of it all nearly made him drop the meat he had but he managed to hold on, setting it down carefully on a pile of leaves. Now... now... Looking up at Russ his tail wagged before he took a bite.
.....WOAH.

Russ simply sat back and watched Ryu eat. It was the purple male's kill, so it was only right that he ate as much of it as he wanted before Russ would. And that was only if Ryu would let him. Of course, there was something else Russ would like to eat, but not in the way Ryu was eating the deer.
Russ blinked. Wow had it been awhile since he had last had that thought about another fox. He had used to think about Marie like that, but not as strongly as he did with Ryu. And he had known Marie longer. How odd....
Russ nodded at the meat. "So...What do ya think?"

"It's strange."
He was busy eating for a good few minutes, when he was finished he pulled back and nodded. Suddenly a familiar smile touched his face, grinning up at Russ, hair flopping into his eyes. "But good! I'm glad you taught me how to hunt!"
Purple tail wagging back and forth, the males paw touched his S mark, a sign he was nervous. Nodding to the kill he flopped down on his stomach. "Thank you, Russ." He said, head tilting when he felt his stomach tighten for a second.
Hm.

Russ had to fight the urge to paw Ryu's hair out his eyes, just so he could stare into them. He REALLY had to fight the urge to lick the cute mark on the purple male's nose. Instead he kept his head on his hands to keep them still and smiled. "I'm glad you had a good time. You're a quick learner you know. Especially having taken down a deer with antler's your first hunt." He gave an impressive whistle.
"As for the taste, it can grow on you. Or it very well could just be the bit you ate. We'll have to try other...prey next time so you can experience all the...tastes."

A dorky smile touched the silly males features, nodding. "I can't wait!" He really couldn't, leaning forward to poke at the deer. It didn't taste bad, but the constituency and taste were just foreign to him. Looking up at Russ he smiled once more.
"Russ, have you ever been to the metal forest?" He asked, head tilting. "The one where the humans roam?" He had always wanted to go there, but, he was to frighten to do it alone.

Russ blinked. "Metal forest?" His tail twitched as he thought about it. "Nooo. Can't say that I have." He would remember, maybe, if he had, for he had heard it was very different than their own forest. But been to one, no.
"Have you?" Was Ryu going to teach him something now that Russ had taught him some about hunting?

He shook his head quickly from side to side. "Ah, no. But I really want to go. Really badly." Looking up at the sky he shook his head. "We can't go today, but would you like to...go with me...tomorrow?"
Was he asking him out on a date? Lilac? The shy one? M-Maybe.... he just wanted to spend more time with Russ, that was all! Honest! He didn't have those feelings for him....right? Nnnn. Maybe just a little.
"Unless you have plans."

For once Russ was speechless. Did Ryu just ask him to spend time with him tomorrow? No one had ever asked him to go with them somewhere. As in, an outing. He supposed that today was an outing but...
Russ opened and closed his mouth several times before he could speak. "Sure. I've got nothing going on tomorrow." And even if he did he'd get out of it, if it meant spending more time with Ryu.

His tail wagged, nuzzling the males cheek. "Then it is settled~ Tomorrow I will meet you again. Here?" He asked quietly, head tilting. "Or I can show you my den!"
He seemed elated, which he was. He was surprised Russ had agreed, it had made him happy~ Though the thought still lingered in his mind that the closer he got to Russ the angrier Russ would be when he found out about his name.
(( My plan is for Russ to find him sick the next day~ ))

Russ blinked. "Y-Your den?" He cleared his throat, annoyed that it had gone an octave higher than normal. Did Ryu honestly invite him to see his den? Russ mentally shook himself. Of course he did. Maybe his den was closer to the metal forest. Yeah. That was it. Russ was just thinking too much into the small touches, the smiles, the...nuzzling of the cheek.
"I'd like that." There. He sounded more like himself. The bad boy type. Not the, I'm still waiting to grow up boy. "Is it far from here?"

"Then off we gooo~" He began to prance off, though he stopped. Turning around to look at Russ his head lowered slightly. "Well, I... are you done eating? Sorry, I got excited." He quietly grumbled. Ah. Great, making a fool of himself more.
He really wanted to ask Russ to stay for the night. Not like that! Just...snuggle. He'd like that. Though Russ was a male and Lilac another, then again perhaps he wouldn't mind? No no no. Lilac.... Lilac was a liar. He couldn't expect Russ to ever even want to be near him when he found out.
Which reminded him... he needed to confess...and soon.
