Vei hummed and nodded. "Sounds like you're a little more than hung up on this mare." Vei muttered, not really aware she'd said it out loud. "Well, you should head back to your herd's lands, some time, then. She's probably looking for you, too. Or watching, maybe, who knows?" Vei shrugged, feeling somehow slighted, now that she didn't figure she'd ever had a chance to begin with. "Did you try HER home, yet?"
The raven cawed softly in lieu of laughter. "If he hasn't, it won't last long. Vei's a snarky pain in the tailfeathers, but she's a fan of the obvious... And stating it." he chuckled. "Well, when she manages a civil tongue, anyways." He glanced at the rodent for a translation, well aware of the minimal movement permissing his beak provided. he envied creatures with lips, sometimes.

Shilo managed a small chuckle. "I think you're one of two that has pointed that out to me as of late.. not counting my daughter that is. I think perhaps.. it might be true.. " Shaking his head he frowned. "I tried her home.. her scent had been fare faded from it to catch a lead of any sorts.. Perhaps my biggest fear is that.. She had loved me but gave me up for a lost cause when she found out about my foals. For her.. it seems too much like something she might have done and it troubled me more that it's taken me this long to come to realization that that might have been the cause of her... disappearance."
She nodded watching Binky's signals once more. "It's possible... " She smiled and sniffed about at the berried the two had been eating. Her upper lip curled up in a sign of the smell not being appeasing to her .
Binky couldn't help but to laugh and Nea's look from the scent of the berries. it was one of the faces she made that nearly always sent the raccoon into a fit of giggles.

Vei snorted. "You'll see her again, I'm sure. Then you can explain the circumstances and try to salvage it." She nudged at the grass in front of her, disturbing it's solitary stance with her hoof rather purposelessly. "If she wanted to be yours, she probably didn't go far. Might even be looking for you at this point." She shrugged, stretching and crawling to her feet again. "So... Is the mare... Idonea? Is she looking for a brute, while you're wandering about, or just tagging along?"
The raven cackled softly at the horse's reaction and shrugged soft, fluttering to the dirt to draw a primitive pictogram of a fish that, while clumsy and unpracticed, got the word accross. "We could look into getting some fish, if you'd like. I believe there's a river nearby they may be spawning in."

Shilo pondered for a moment. Idonea didn't often speak much about her own doings and had even seemed a bit more.. withdrawn that she usually was. "It's possible I suppose.. She has a few friends she's told me about, but no one she's said anything special about." He turned his head, looking over his shoulder the direction Nea had gone. "I'm sure... if she's looking for some one that She'll find him."
Idonea spied the symbol drawn out in the ground and her eyes seemed to light up like a cat watching a fish tank. "Fish is yummy.. better when Amelia's here to fire them up though.." She pouted lightly. Her friend really was taking a long time on this adventure she was on, but at least it left her time to keep an eye out for Cedric and help her father look for the mare he sought.
Binky chuckles and fluttered up to nea's back before patting her neck and pointing forward. She wanted fish to go with the berries she'd been snacking on and even if they were raw, she'd be happy to eat them.

Vei shrugged softly, humming. "She seems like a strong mare. She'll find some way to work around that hearing problem." She glanced about curiously and harumphed softly to herself. "Maybe one of those two-leggers could look into the problem. They're small and nimble with tiny hooves..."
The raven chuckled and waved a wing behind him with a smile. "Interested?" Binky obviously was, so the raven hopped up into the air to flutter nearby and lead the way, his horns extending behind his head while the strung feathers hung on his chest.

He gave a small snort at the thought of one of the two-leggers priding around in his daughter's ears. "Unfortunately I doubt they'd be of much help... even if I were to allow it. I took her once to a uni to be healed... and it didn't help at all..."
Nea beamed and took a step forward, her bell jingling as she did so. She was enthused about the prospect of having that fleshy fishy feel in her mouth.
Binky shook her pacifier at the raven. "She always goes on and on about Amelia and fish." She chuckled lightly.

Vei hummed, sniffing almost, as if that were a valid response. "Maybe she doesn't WANT to be healed, then, or to hear again. I've heard that can negate the effects of Uni magicks in the area of healing, but I don't see how." She shrugged. "Who knows." She hummed, peering sideways at the gentle brute. "So... This mare of yours... Tell me what she looks like? If I see her, I can send her your way, hmm?"
The raven chuckled, nodding, and set off through the forest to find the river and lead the mare that way. "Can you blame her? Fish is good."

Shilo sighed some in reply of the possibility of his daughter just not wanting to be healed. Giving an inward shrug he chuckled lightly at the mare's offer. "I can't see how it'd hurt any.. well.. She's a wind... not very small but not entirely big and burly.. Black in coat with red markings and a long red mane and tail usually braided. Her eyes.. are yellow with slitted pupils most becoming of a kalona's eyes and they almost seem to glow." His face bloomed with glee as he described Ali to down to her every marking.
Her bell jingled and bounced against her body as she picked her pace up to a light trot to follow the raven. "Cooked fish better than raw." She laughed lightly knowing Binky was likely saying something about her affinity of fish.
Binky chuckled loudly. "Feesh is good.. yes but her friend spoiled her too much!" She nods enthusiasticaly.

Vei hummed and nodded, grinning slyly over at him. "Hard to mistake THAT level of interest, huh?" She teased, but shrugged. "If I see any that fit the description, I'll send her your way." She murmured softly. "Well, rather, I'll tell her you're looking for her."
The raven chuckled and nodded. "Yes, yes... Fish good..." He chuckled, fluttering a bit faster to lead the way to the river quicker. The sound of rushing water grew louder for those that could hear it as they approached, the water close enough to register in the nostrils, now, before it came into view.

Shilo chuckled lightly. "I guess it's really that apparent to others that she means so much to me..." Shaking his head some he still couldn't believe it's taken this long and another stallion to point it out to him. How could he have been so blind to his own feelings?
Idonea could smell the water and her pace quickened even more. Her nostrils flared as the river soon fell into sight. It was... a fare size in depth this time of year.. but it wasn't going to stop her from going fishing. After all... she could see the shadows of the fish lurking in some of the more shallow waters. now she just had to get to them so she could kick a few out.
Binky gave a shril giggle and launched herself from Nea's back towards the water. Her small wings fluttered hard and fast as they took her a short ways before giving way and she came to the ground with a flop.

Vei snickered softly, nodding. "It's a good thing it's obvious. She'll pick up on that the next time you see her. Sounds like she's a little more sensitive to her own emotions than you are." The mare sneered at her larger companion. "Nothin' to be ashamed of, just means ya know what you feel, y'knhow?"
The raven watched the coon plop and rolled his eyes, eyeing the water suspiciously before diving through it and pulling out one of the smaller fish to settle on the banks with it, fluttering his feathers to shake loose their drench.

Shilo gave a small sigh. "Yes, well.. it took me years of hiding away my true feelings so I guess I just became too good at it." His shoulders raised and fell in a slight shrug of a motion.
Idonea walked past both the raven and Binky. she enjoyed water to an extent preferring to be in it only so long as she was fishing.. or bathing really. Her entry into the water scattered a small school of minnows though she knew if she stayed still long enough, they'd be back curiously inspecting her.
Binky didn't notice the eye roll and made a b-line for the water. Scrambling out onto the branch of a bank side bush, she sat over the water and with a maniacal little look, she concentrated on a fish that swam below her. Such a devious little thing she could be, it was nearly frightening to see such a change within the small raccoon.

Vei hummed and shrugged. "Well, now you get to practice something entirely new." She muttered, peering into the long grass boredly. The conversation wasn't set at a tempo she found herself much enjoying... Particularly since any chance she might have had, she'd let flutter off with his description of the mare. Like she could compete with wings... She rolled her eyes. "Silver lining, right? Just gotta wait for the real one to come out from behind it's cloud." She peered up, as if to indicate the irony of the situation.
The raven chuckled at the pair, finding a spot in the nook of a tree to curl up and watch over them from. "I will keep a vigil for the stallion, so she can avoid the risk of upsetting his sensitivities reguarding these delicious little beasts..."

He gave a small nod. "Seems there's always a silver lining to be found if one searches hard enough for it." A lop sided grin crept into his face. There would always be a silver lining, this he should have remembered from his youth. when all had seamed too bleak, he had always managed to find the lighter side of it all to keep from becoming twisted in spirit and mind.
Idonea splashed about in the watch, submerging her head before finally pulling it out and shaking like a mutt, fish in mouth. Fish dangling by it's tail from her teeth, she pranced out of the water looking very much like the cat that got the rat
With all of Nea's splashing, the fish she'd been keen on swam away. Chittering in a most annoyed way, she stalked from the branch and climbed up Nea's leg before whacking her between the ears with the straw she kept tucked away in Nea's collar for safe keeping. "Made feesh flee..." She grumbled and flopped onto her rump to sulk on the fluffy mare's back.

Vei tilted her brow at the stallion and hid a shrug by slumping down into the grass again. "So... Guess you're going to keep an eye on the sky from now on, huh?" She muttered, looking up at the clouds.
The raven chuckled at the mare's antics and pecked at the remains of his own fish before hopping close up to the river again. "May not be the one you wanted..." He started, flapping into the air before seizing another fish from the stream, smaller than the one the coon had been prospectifying over. "Will it do?" The thing wriggled in his talons as he held it over the water, flapping where the coon could see it.
