"Did you grow up without your parents Mister?" Schuyler asked solemnly. She didn't mean to be so bi-polar-ish around him. All she really wanted to do was make him happy. The mister didn't seem like he was every very happy, which made her sad.
Shaking her head, she resumed her prancing. "We should...we should..." She said, sounding like a broken record while she thought. "We should have a scavenger hunt!!" She said happily, proud of herself for coming up with the idea.

"Young one I did indeed have parents though at times it felt as if I did not. My father was very strict and believed that his offspring was a reflection of him and he did not tolerate misconduct, mistakes or any small detail that would not be correct in his eyes." he said. "My mother was the opposite of my father she was very loving and caring that was until my father had finally broke her. I learned at a very young age I must not fail, I had to be the best at everything and failure was not acceptable" he said in a very low tone.
Looking at her as she pranced he could not help but wonder why this foal was so happy to be around him. "I am severely perplexed by her, she should have ran from me but did not" he thought to himself.
"Scavenger hunt" was the words he heard that drew him from his thoughts. "You wish to have a scavenger hunt?" he said in a surprised tone. "I believe that would be acceptable if you wish to play. Let's see how would you like to do this?" he said.

"Thats so sad..." Schuyler said, she felt bad for the mister. "No one should have to deal with parents like that Mister. You...failure isn't always a bad thing. Any time you fail you only find one way that doesn't work, and that only puts you one step ahead. Your father should not have been like that with you. But...yes, a scavenger hunt!" She said, changing the subject to something more happy. "Well, uh, we could both think of things we should find and go and try to find them. Like...we should find a blue flower!" She said with a giggle. Schuy sincerely hoped she was making the Mister happy, he seemed like he was sad too much.

Thalion could hear the sincerity in her voice when she spoke her words to him. Surprised Thalion looked at her in a completely different light. "Maybe this foal is not like the others, I do enjoy being around her but she is a foal" he thought. "I enjoy my solitude preferring it to being around azreins and humans alike but this little foal seems to bring out a side of my I never knew existed" he thought then chuckled to himself.
"Blue flower?" he repeated. "Very well little one we will search for a blue flower but let's make it with an additional color since the clearing has blue flowers in abundance. What color should we make it to be as well?" he asked her.

"Hmmm, how about a blue flower with red thorns? That would be interesting." Schuyler added. "Have you seen any of those Mister?" She asked enthusiastically. She had never seen any, which is why she had suggested it. "Ok, now you have to add something for us to look for! So we will be searching for a blue flower with red thorns and something of your choosing!" It may have sounded like she was rambling, but she didn't mean to, she was just excited for their game. She enjoyed this grown-up's company, he was going to play games with her. That made her like him very much.

"Blue flower with red thorns? If that pleases you then yes we shall seek out the flower with the red thorns" he said to her.
Watching her he noticed she just seemed so happy she was with him which really bothered him. " I can not fathom why this foal is exuberant with my presence" he kept thinking over and over to himself.
Pulled out of his thoughts he turned and said "Little one let us be off to find the blue flower with red thorns, why don't we each go in the opposite direction but not to far. I will go left you go right but no more than 100 steps, agreed?" he said.
((blue flowers red thorns huh?someone was or has watched shrek hehe doneky rules!))

((Teehee, I hoped you would catch that. XD I'm the stair master! I master the stairs!!))
"Ok! So a blue flower with red thorns." Schuyler repeated. "I-I don't want to go too far away from you Mister...last time I did it was scary..." She recalled the cave incident. "No more than 100 steps." She agreed. Starting right, she started looking, "One...two...three...four..." She counted her steps to make sure she didn't get too far away. Not understand that he had meant 100 steps between the two, she just thought she could go 100 steps. She searched the little clearing within her 100 steps but didn't see any sight of a blue flower with red thorns. Sure there were plenty of blue flowers and plenty of red flowers, but no blue flower with red thorns.

Thalion watched the little one go off towards the right and he lingered for a few moments satisfied she would adhere to the 100 steps and turned to go his way. Making his way he kept looking and kept seeing blue flowers but none with red thorns. Pausing he scented and found nothing suspicious so he continued for a few more steps before turning around to go back.
Looking up he didnt see the little one within his eye sight. "Little one where are you?" he shouted. He strained to hear a reply but did not hear one. "Little one answer me!" he shouted louder. Heart pounding he took off at a flat run towards where he saw her walking towards with worry in his heart.

Hearing shouting behind her, Schuyler stopped and turned to see the Mister running towards her. "What is it mister? I'd only gone 68 steps! I wasn't 100 steps away yet! I was counting." She said proudly in a somewhat childish manner. "I haven't found any blue flowers with red thorns yet, have you?" She prattled on. "Do you even think there are flowers like that? What if there aren't? Should we look for something else?" Sky didn't know she had gone too far, she thought she had done everything correctly.((haha ya, that one is awesome. "and in the mornin, I'm makin waffles!" <3))
