Wait a minute, hold the phone. Cosmos was a person? There were more of these knight-people? Someone purified Lina?

“ All right, I seem to have missed a lot.” Pomona said, looking up from the now-clean pot she had filled with water to boil. She waved a wooden spoon in Naica’s direction.

“ You’re, like, the third knight I’ve met. I guess there’s knights for every planet then?”

What? Pomona had been stuck to rescuing cats and dusting youma for nearly five months, she was still catching up on everything she had missed.

“ I don’t think I’ve ever met Cosmos,” then she added, almost to herself, “ Have I?”

Pomona prided herself on having a good memory, so she didn’t think she’d ever met Cosmos, but considering the strangeness of magic she couldn’t be sure. Shaking her head, she turned to Maia.

“ I could use a chopped tomato and a couple of chopped peppers.” Pomona fished in her basket and pulled out some peppers for Maia that she knew to be on the mild end of the spectrum, as well as some okra that she planned to tackle.

By her calculation.. if everyone had one piece, three loaves should be enough for 60+. But then.. how many senshi and knights had joined the group? And would they all be hungry too? Perhaps four was better, just to be safe. It wasn't as if they had to ration things anyway.. the zodiacs were free to come and go and gather things if needed.

Shuffling through the mess of kitchen tools she searched for some kind of metal sheet and once she found one, began to fiddle with the oven to preheat it. She'd need to find a nice knife and maybe a towel or two as well eventually.

The knights weapon was a crystal.. that was interesting.. though probably not incredibly helpful. And Grus was training with some kind of jerk? A frown touched her face gently at the thought of someone unkind handling the sensitive girl. She'd have to ask about it later, sometime more private.

Poor Pomona. The girl's words drew a soft smile to Polaris, simply listening as she caught herself up. She was kind of glad she kept her nose in everyone's business.. it always sucked when you realized you didn't have an important piece to the puzzle.

Naica didn't seem to mind much when his wrist was stolen for closer examination, through her words... "A good friend of mine is also a knight, and we're..." Erm. "Working on it. Thank you, through..."

"There doesn't seem to be too many knights around." Once Grus fred his wrist, he started drying the dishes again - they were almost done. "At least compared to senshi..." There seemed to be a lot of them, and from what he'd been told this... had been going on for quite awhile. "I know.... a knight of jupiter, another knight of cosmos, heard of mercury and earth knights... I think... There is one for every planet..."

Maia could not help, but to laugh at Grus's words, "training with a jerk huh? Sounds to me like it can be one of two people and my money is on Chaonis." She grinned at Grus, "he's not so bad the more you get to know him. His heart is in the right place and he pretty serious when it come to training. I should know, that last training session we had. Well lets just say eternal or no I still need to continue training."

She looked to Pomona when she asked her to chop some pepper and tomatoes, took the peppers, and orka, cleaned them and started chopping, trying to work quickly and efficiently while still keeping one ear in on the conversation.

Maia looked to Naica, "its seems like that would be the case. I wonder if any of our stars had knights in the past, though I guess not. Whenever I've gone to Maia I've mostly gotten flashes of past Maia, her friends, and family. I haven't gone enough to really glimpse that much."

She looked at Maia in surprise, momentarily forgetting about Naica's shiny crystal, though she did hear what he said about Knights of every planet. Then she let out a loud laugh.

"Oh, so you've had to deal with him too!" She said, calming her sudden peal of laughter. "I used to think her was a complete jerk." she said, looking down at the dishes, though a smile remained on her lips. "But that was only for about an hour. Your right; he actually isn't that bad. One may even call him nice...on occasion."

Grus trailed off, then shook her head, attacking the dishes so no one would notice the slight color to her cheeks.

"So you've been to Space too?" She asked, slowing her dishes now that they were on the last stack. "I actually just got back from mine not too long ago."

“ A Pomona Knight?”

This possibility had never occurred to Pomona, so it nabbed her imagination when Maia brought it up, but it was just as quickly dismissed.

“ Pfffffft, ha ha! No no no, I don’t think there were any Pomona Knights. What would they do there, sit around and collect dust?” Realizing that might’ve seemed a bit rude to the Knight in the room, Pomona added, “ I don’t know what I did on Pomona, so I doubt my planet had any use for use for Knights.”

The mentions of other planets did perk Pomona’s interest.

“ So what are your planets like, if I’m allowed to be nosy?”

Pollux gave another shrug, not seemingly interested in Knights and their origins. "After we finish making dinner for everyone, I'll give her a call." His second pot full of water, it was time to start cooking. "I wish I could say I know about the powers of a Knight, but I don't. Again, sister-in-law would know the most. Not to mention my brother. She's probably used her attack on him a few times. Though he probably deserved it." He shot Polaris, Pomona and Maia a smirk. They would know how his brother behaved.

Maia's question did get him noticing that other things needed to be done. "Chopped. Carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado if you brought any." the girls seemed to have a good handle on things... "Pomona, do you want to head the salad?" If they could divide the work up into teams, then it would in theory allow them to all work focused with their own projects.

Naica's weapon was briefly looked at before Pollux laughed outright. "Something tells me the cosmos pulled more a joke on you then us senshi." Shaking his head Pollux walked over to get the uncooked pasta as the water heated on the stove. "Sucky weapon or not, your best bet would be enrolling in a self defense class, or do what my brother and I did in high school." Noodles found and all that was left was to wait for the water to boil. "Get into random fights over dumb inane s**t."

While he might not have noticed it, he was slowly becoming less closed off, less uptight. Cooking was really, his freedom. It didn't require much, just tasks. "Chaonis?" A hand waved as the water reached boiling. "He reminded me too much of my brother." Noodled added and Pollux sighed. "as for my planet...I'm frost. You may have one guess to what covers my world. Oh, plus it had something under the ice that tried to kill me. Pretty sure about that."

Magellan, having dropped off her cookbook and gauged that the situation was well under control, decided she could be more useful elsewhere. She was a decent cook, but she hated sharing a space with too many people. The kitchens were large and glamorous, sure, but Magellan liked to do things her own way and it seemed like someone else had already taken charge. Normally she would just budge her way in and make sure things were running more efficiently, but she had other projects to tackle.

"If you guys need anything else, let me know. I'm going to go around and see if anyone needs any meds or other important things picked up, so if you can think of something like, dire, get ahold of me."

Having announced as much, she lifted a hand in a wave and headed out of the kitchens, feeling moderately accomplished. And kind of hungry.

Yeah, she'd be back.

Maia gave a small laugh at Pollux's statement knowing if Lina attacked Castor he probably did deserve it even still she did feel a little bad for him. She nodded though betting Lina would know the most.

She nodded at the direction going through the washed vegetable and pulling out more to be chopped. She couldn't find any avocado and doubted highly that someone had bought some, but she did move away from her station to look for a few moments before moving back and going back to chopping. It could be chopped later if it showed up.

She looked to Grus at her comment about Chaonis while she chopped vegetable, "he saved me from a lamppost youma that spit fire, and again during those sleepless night of Elysion when I got attack by those flying bat things. Good yes, but as for nice, well I don't know about that. Pollux is right though, if you've met Castor that are kind of similar." She laughed lightly.

Maia blinked when the question of what everyone's planets were like and smiled, "I love my planet. Its got lots of odd colors, and it has singing trees. Past Maia use to play with one quite a ways from the castle tree, which I'm certain half off is a very large school. It's in the biggest tree I've ever seen, its like the mount Everest of trees, you even have to take an elevator have way up. I'm still not sure how the singing trees work though, but I think it has something to do with magic and memory. I guess I'd have to take someone there to find out for sure."

She looked to Magellan as she left and offer a goodbye to the girl before tuning back into the conversation.

Grus waited until Maia was done talking about her planet before she launched into her story. "I love my planet!" She exclaimed, practically dancing in her spot. "All the people on Grus lived in treehouses connected by rope bridges! And they played music." She grinned foolishly. Music was something every good planet needed!

"From the visions I've had, they used bright colors for everything too. Which matched where they were. It's practically a rainforest. There are these plants that are green most of the time, but the last time, when me and Chaonis were there, they were bright red and had white feather flowers!" She knew she wasn't making any sense, but she was too excited about having other people to discuss this kind of thing with. Too often she was found alone when she really wanted to talk about Senshi things.

"So far it looks like other senshi or people from other planets came to visit mine too."

She didn't know Chaonis, and all the chatter about him had her conflicted on to whether or not she wanted to know him. With so many calling him a jerk.. she almost felt the need to confront him. But then the conversation swayed to him not being so bad. Only time would tell she supposed.

Polaris listened with soft interest as the others continued to speak while she arranged loaves of bread onto her baking sheet, enjoying the idle and not so idle chatter. It was calming and wonderful, almost making her forget the stressful reason they were actually here for. This was exactly why she mourned the break up of the Bastards so much, and why she wanted another team of friends to cling to.

Talk turned to that of stars and Pollux received a knowing and sympathtic half smile. Maia and Pomona's stars sounded lovely though! The sort of place she'd like to visit and see definately. Singing trees.. beautiful colors.

"Polaris is not nearly so exciting. There are trees and flowers but it's constantly snowing so I haven't done a lot of exploring outside. There are large metal cities though in the mountains. I think the Polarians were scholars for the most part. There are huge telescopes and maps and books all over the place." Not to mention almost every flash of memory she'd seen had encompassed some sort of lesson, both for herself at the people she was watching.

There was a soft cling as the oven shut, and she walked off for a moment to gather a large bowl and a few towels.

Naica couldn't help but make a bit of a face at Pollux's laugh, but in a way, he couldn't help but agree. "Useless weapons seems to be the norm, through..." Hell, Valhalla had a compass.

Verdict was still out on which knight had the most useless weapon, really.

He was more or less lost in the past life / world discussion, through, and so stayed silent, focusing on the dishes while keeping tabs on the conversation.

Pollux gave another idle shrug as the noodle cooked, the soup not yet even at a boil, though it was no doubt rising due to the orange flames under it. The senshi who delivered the cookbook, Magellan, was given a small thankful smile as she left. He might look for her later to return the book but for now, he let it rest. They had mouths to feed after all.

"You girls are lucky to have such vibrant planets. I'd offer you all a trip to mine, but, it is very much not a vacation. Unless you like the cold...and stone ruins. The castle is just that-stone ruins. The main gates are chained off so, honestly I may be wrong about the majority of my world. Three visits hardly makes for a good tour does it?" The noodles were beginning to cook and the soup had just begun to bubble.
The knight's silence didn't go unnoticed however. "What about you? I don't suppose you have a past life you can share with us? No stories of the great cosmos of the past?"

The last of the dishes were dry now, unless there was another pile somewhere he wasn't seeing. His sleeves and gloves were all wet, but he didn't seem to care very much.

"I... I don't know." He admitted. "I've never been in space, or wherever... Naica is supposed to be." Was it even a place ? He seemed to have a nagging feeling that it was, but he'd had so much information to process about all this that everything seemed a little nebulous.

Grus turned from rinsing out the sink, shaking her hands and rubbing the remaining water on her fuku. The stacks of dusty dishes were gone, replaced with more organized piles of shiny wet dishes. When Naica put down the towel he was using for drying, Grus grabbed it, wiping off the counter so it too would be clean.

"Well, you can say you've been in space now!" She said cheerfully, taking all the towels in her arms. "Even if it isn't your planet or comet or whatever."

"If we're finished with the dishes, I was going to find where I can place these to take back for laundry. We'll need them back pretty soon once everyone starts using the dishes to eat!"

With a wave and equally as eager smile, Grus exited the kitchens. The smell of the soup was starting to waft in the hallways, and there were a couple people milling about, wondering who and what was cooking.
