That was a little better. At least Daniel knew how to keep Chris from freaking out... for the most part.
Chris shook his head when Daniel brought up communicating. "I've heard rumors of... rings or something... that would let us communicate," he said, although his voice was wary, obviously unsure of the claims. He hadn't had a chance to visit his wonder, so he didn't know if that's where the ring was or not. "From what I've heard... you have to go to the place you're named for... and it'll be there... somewhere..."
He knew he would have to check to make sure it was actually at his own wonder, but... something seemed to be holding him back from visiting the place.
"And no, everything you have on you when you, uh... change... will disappear. There is a small group of us using headsets to communicate, though," he went on, not wanting his friend to be left in the dark about things that could very well save his life in the future. In fact, he dug into his pocket to show Daniel his own headset. "See? If you place it somewhere before you power up, you can pick it up and use it still."

"Rings... ?" ...Wait. "We're named after places ?"
Superb. Daniel was embarrassed at his own ignorance, really. But it wasn't like he'd had... any reasons to know, before now.
He certainly hadn't asked, his mind still reeling that his best friend had been some sort of secret super hero for gods knew how long.
And now he was some sort of secret super hero.
"Oh..." Well, that was good to know. He nodded. "I think I recognize those... Are they modded ? I can just go out and buy one."
It wasn't like his parents were watching his expenses anymore.

"Yeah," he said slowly, as though he was trying to remember for certain if that was right. "I'm not sure where your place would be... but apparently I'm named for a place on Jupiter. Who would have thought, right...? I've met others from different planets, too. Like Camelot from Earth and Hesperis from Mercury. Now that I think of it, there might be another knight of Cosmos I've met..." he said, remembering the incident at the library when he'd first given out the headsets. "Bimini or something like that... he was also a knight of Cosmos... I think..." He couldn't remember for certain.
Chris nearly snorted when Daniel started talking about buying them. "Don't worry about it. I've got extras. I started a plan for the group of us. I'll give you one and my number. It's kind of like an all-way radio for when you're in trouble."
No point in having Daniel waste his money when he'd already bought enough for at least a few more that show up. "It's not as advanced as magic, of course... Senshi have magical cell phones, but this is the best we could do... for now, at least." Until he found out for himself if the rings really existed, or if it was just a rumor.

Oh boy, this was all so complicated. Really, Daniel had done a point of not thinking about it too much, to ignore it from the most part, from the day he's awakened until now, and now it was coming back to bite him in the a**.
"But Valhalla's norse mythology..." He couldn't help but chip in. "Where the souls of dead champions train in preparation for fighting in Ragnarok, the end of the world... something like that. Camelot's like... King Arthur, round table, that kinda stuff. So these's places on... places with those same names. Named after the legends... or the legends were named from them... ?" Honestly, he was willing to suspend belief long enough to ponder this, at this point.
God this was going to ******** him so badly, being a lit major. But as far as he knew, there was no Naica.
"And yeah, maybe after school tommorow ?" There was the burger place, and Daniel stopped in front of it, waiting for Chris. "Magical cellphones... ?" This was all so weird.

It was strange and despite his research, Chris had been yet to figure things out. It didn't seem as though a lot of others really knew what was going on, too. At least not when it came to the knights. Some of the older senshi seemed to figure out what was more or less going on, but... it was still all veiled in confusion and uncertainty.
Chris let out a sigh of relief once they got to the burger place without so much as a blip of a youma or any other negative energy. "Yeah... well... Let's worry about all that tomorrow, okay? Come on... my treat," he said, pushing the door open to head inside. "I bet they'll have some kind of salad you'd like," he half teased. "Got to watch your figure now that you're walking around in heels."
