As he hid next to the house he could hear footsteps coming toward his location. He held his breath but it seemed as if he'd be spotted. He had been good to get out of the house and was now regretting messing with their dog. He already had one close call with the neighbors just seconds before and would have yet another seconds later.

((10+3=13 )Pass))
It turned out the dog was barking in his direction and the neighbors were just trying tobsee what he was so excited about. Keon was in the clear but the dog would still be an issue if left outside. So Keon would have to make it go away. Keon threw a rock at the dog making it bark loudly again.

The owners not wanting their neighbors mad at them, took the dog inside, just as Keon was hoping for. With the dog gone the kid hopped their gate a d into the next yard until he made his way to the corner.

((9+3=12 )Fail)
As he reached the corner he could hear a distant calling. It wasn't his name but he knew it was for him. He had been once again spotted. This time by his next door neighbor. Keon didn't want to turn around for fear of being recognized. Keon kept walking but the voice was getting louder and clearer, signifying the shortening of distance between he hand his pursuer.

((11+3=14 )Pass)
He knew he had to act fast, he made a few quick hand seals, which he disguised by patting his chest afterward, he used the henge technique. He simply changed his face, putting on a mask. He turned to see his neighbor. The man, after seeing him simply shook his headband headed back home after apologizing. After that was over he turned the corner and sighed.

Tenshi had entered the village, however he needed to get to the other side. The shortest distance from point 'A' to point 'B' was a straight line, right? He was beginning to wish he simply walked around, especially when he saw the guards. The guards at the compound were easy enough. He knew how to handle them, but these guys were another story. He needed to find another way...

12 Success
Looking around he noticed that some of the building were rather close to the wall. If he could scale the wall and buildings he should be able to get over the wall fairly easy. One of the homes was built along side the wall. He wondered if that really was a wise thing, but it helped him out now and that was all that mattered. He first climbed on top of a few crates next to the building. Crates were a good start and he was on top of a small shed. He looked up at the wall. he rubbed the back of his neck as he looked at the height of it. That's a long way up... hope I don't fall down... He realized he wasn't that great at climbing and was doubting his decision.

13 Success
From the shed he climbed further up on the building. Grabbing onto window sills and drainpipes he continued his climb. He could already feel the blisters forming on his hands. He hated the feeling of blisters. They always seemed to heal slowly. Grabbing onto the ledge of the roof his feet lost their grip. He was motionless. Great... this is going to suck. He looked down and saw he was a good fifty feet in the air... give or take a few. He wished he paid more attention to his physical strength rather than his chakra. He pulled himself onto the lower roof and laid down, looking at the night sky. "Talk about scary..."

1 Fail
Tenshi stood up. One more rooftop and then he had to scale the wall. He looked around for some footing and began climbing up. The siding of the house didn't seem to be put on right and ripped from his grasp. He fell back to the lower rooftop, landing on his back. "Ow! That hurt!" He rubbed his back and stood up. He deduced that climbing wasn't his thing and looked back the way he had come. The only way down from there was to jump and he wasn't about to risk his life doing it. He was already so far and going back would just give him more trouble.

2 Fail
He decided to try his ascent once again. He got a little farther before, looking at where he was grasping before he put his weight on it. With his luck, of course, a windowsill that he was holding onto broke from beneath his hand, and the flower box his foot rested on had broke as well and Tenshi fell back to the rooftop. He laid there for a few moments, his body aching. "Why did I decide to do this? At this rate, it'll take me foreverm and my body won't even want to walk..." He sighed and looked at the rooftop above him. If he could make it that far then he could start on the wall...

13 Success
Starting back up the wall, he would tug on each object he placed his hands on to test the strength of it. He was tired of falling down on the roof. It hurt way to much to keep doing it. He was getting antsy as he was getting closer to his goal. He pulled on a pipe that released itself from the wall. He lost his grip as his hand was thrown back. Almost releasing his grasp and falling back down he used what strength he had to pull his arm back to the wall and finish pulling himself up to the top. He looked down the side of the building and laughed, "Ha! Take that!" He smirked and looked up the wall. It was going to be a climb, but it would be worth it... at least that's what he kept telling himself.

Batsu's eyebrow shot straight up after hearing the boy's name. It was Gin... no last name at all. It must've meant that this guy was an orphan or something... or the boy lacked any sort of home training. It was common courtesy that during introductions, that they be more specific than just a first name. Granted, Batsu was just a child; however, he was a big stickler about etiquette.

To Gin's credit though, he mentioned what his weapon of choice was. Batsu failed to do so. Since he himself forgot to reveal himself properly, he decided to leave Gin's intro -- or lack thereof -- alone.

"Ah... my weapon of choice is my bow. You probably saw it strapped to my back while I was on the ground... but if you didn't..." Batsu turned his bach slightly towards Gin to brandish his back strap that had his wooden bow and arrow container attached. Nothing fancy, but it had sentimental value to him. The boy the faced forward and continued. "I still have a lot of training to do before I can claim any sort of pride.Something else you should know about me, I prefer speed over strength. I fail at hand to hand combat, but it'll be hard as hell to catch me." Now speed was Batsu's best asset. He knew he could run circles around all of the people at the genin level... and probably some at the chuunin level given the opportunity.

(( Chunin? Your barely faster than me and I'm a genjutsuist, by one mod in dex you have my speed beat only. Also no offense, he has a thing about boys, and no not like that, the opposite of that. He is always untrusting and stuff around them, but when he's around girls despite being 9 he'll turn into sanji. ))

"Maybe you'll be able to see me fight during this, I have two C-Ranked missions completed out of the two missions that I have taken." This was quite impressive considering the fact that he was only nine, and he knew Shinzu from both missions actually. He actually had gotten through the last mission without even being touched despite the fact that his partners were pretty beaten and battered.

Though he still didn't have to reveal his true style of fighting which was genjutsu in either mission. His combat fistfighting wasn't to good but he was 9 year olds but he was pretty fast but most of all he was was very charasmatic and was skilled a controlling his chakra, which both led him into the field of genjutsu.

Gin was rather set upon not letting anyone visibly see him unless he needed to use it. He was aware that if he joined a squad that his master and teammates would know but he didn't want random people to know. For all he knew they could be potential enemies in the Chunin Exam once he got to that level of talent. For now he would train himself, his parents had actually informed him that there was some clan genjutsu that he could learn. After this mission that was his plan unless more came up. "By the way, the thing that interested me along with the bloody mist concept, was that this guy claimed he was a ghost. I wanted to see if there was any claim. If there are people as strong as the kage, I don't think it's that farfetched."

((One mod point faster than you = faster than you... and in a theoretical sense, yes. It is possible for him to be faster than a chunin provided that they don't buff up their dex mod. Unlikely, but still a possibility. Ergo, he could outrun a chunin.))

"This is a hoax, I picked up on that when whoever wrote the letter signed it as the ghost you speak of. First off, ghosts don't exist as far as I'm concerned. Secondly, if there ARE a such thing, how can they pick up anything and write? Using some sort of magic trick? I don't think so... and I apologize for being an a**."
The boy's sense of cynicism became apparent... as well as his way of over-analyzing.

"Yet it's possible for someone to breath fire by simply manipulating the energy they get from food. I got here from jumping over the wall. I'm nine and I have already killed someone, is that normal? I heard at one point that there is a jutsu that binds a soul to another body and lets them control the person. With that assumption than souls are real, if that's true than why can't a soul have no passed on to the next world. In buddhism they call them hungry ghosts. In any which case, I'm here to test the theory. If I knew it was true than I wouldn't be so interested, along with the fact that if I knew it was false."

Gin did overthink things but he was rather smart individual who definately was able to comprehend many things despite his young age. His intelligence and wisdom were well above his years as one might say. And those two things were what made him the ninja that he was, not his shuriken or his charisma but his devastating genjutsu. His real name was Kite Maboroshi but he went by Gin with everyone but his parents. Heck his parents weren't even aware of it so if he ever brought a friend home they'd call him Kite.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.As he came closer to the gate he could see that it was guarded by a few ninja. Not wanting to be seen this late at night he decided just to go over the wall. To most people it would seem to be a crazy idea however, from previous actions it was very clear that the kid wasn't the brightest. However even though it was a daunting task he still attempted with vigor and determination. He jumped at the wall and placed his foot on it kicking up and pushing his foot down against the wall. He managed to grab onto the wall and hold himself up.

Soon after he got his grip he found a foothold a few inches to the right. He shuffled over to it, but the mist made it slippery. After trying to hold on he lost his footing and fell. Landing on his back he felt a sharp pain. He got up and stretched his back to prevent from cramping on his next attempt. He would try again soon, however the recent fall would haunt the back of his mind.

This time he took it slower. He climbed up the wall and shifted his weight only on to the places that had the most grip. He was making steady progress and would be done in no time. However climbing was slightly new to him and he didn't know how much longer he could continue.

He called it just right. As he ascended up the wall he could feel his leg cramp up. Not wanting to fall again he held his position. He was in a good spot and loosing it was not an option. He lost almost a minute just holding his spot but it was only a minor set back and he'd regain lost time soon.

The cramp soon faded and he was able to continue climbing. He was a bit more than halfway to the top. He was still keeping the same steady pace hoping it would pay off in the long run. He was starting to tire but that would be fixed once he got over the wall.

Gin put his hand on the top of his old style train hat as his dull gray eyes glared at the older boy. He was more annoyed at this guy than he was at even regular boys. He pushed the hat into the top for his head. He was sure that this boy was no risk and that he could easily deal with him like nothing. He placed one hand on his waist. He was wearing contacts but they weren't obvious, it was to hide the fact that his eyes were quite dazzling. If someone saw the dominant color in his eyes they would know waht clan he was from, and from that they would know he was a person who used genjutsu.

He clapped his hands together and held his own hand tightly, a small gasping clap sound being heard as he looked at the boy with a different expression. "When did you get the idea that your opinion matters at all, just because you don't think I can kill you doesn'ts stop me from killing you like you were a piece of trash." Gin said was a sudden glare in his eyes that showed he wasn't just some innocent kid, it would be rather scary actually.

3 Fail
Tenshi started climbing up the wall. What he found surprising about the wall was that they made it so poorly that anyone could scale the wall. You would think, of all places in a village to be made properly, the wall would be the one. After a good six feet up, he lost his grip and fell down. With the height of it, he was able to land on his feet. He spit in his hand and wiped them together, clearing the dust from them.

13Success
Rubbing his hands together again, he climbed back up. The dirt and dust on each ledge stuck to his palms and fingers. It was rather gross and getting harder to climb. He had to take it slow and check each ledge to ensure he didn't fall. He was halfway up and was looking forward to being off this wall. He wasn't very fond of climbing, but if he wanted to be a ninja he would have to get used to it and many other things.

5 Fail
Tenshi continued climbing, he kept going, but once he got as far as he could, he looked around. There wasn't another ledge. He let out a sigh and figured the only thing he could do was go back down and go a different route up. So much time wasted trying to climb this wall. He wanted to get over and see if there really was a ghost or if anyone else received the note. He didn't know why he received it so there must be others. Perhaps it was someone they all knew?

2 Fail
He came back down to a fork in the wall and took a different route up. He almost made it to the top of the wall. He estimated a good ten feet from the top and found no other hold to continue up. He gritted his teeth. His muscles wanted to just quit on him, but he knew if he fell it would be to his death. He looked below him to see the ground far, far below him. He took a gulp. Perhaps it wasn't the wisest thing for him to look down, but the fear wanted him to get to the top even faster. His hands were getting sweaty and his grip wasn't as good as it used to be. Each hand in turn was wiped on his pants, his Happi now dirty. Why his clan chose white clothing he would never know, but luckily he didn't do the cleaning.

8 Fail
So he did the same as before, went back down the route he came and went a different direction. He looked down below him and noticed he was now above the guards blocking the gate. With his luck he would screw this up and become the laughing stock of the whole village. Just what a Fubuki needed. A smart a** trying to leave the village by climbing over the wall, directly above the guards, and getting caught. That was the last thing the Fubuki clan needed. He could be mistaken for trying to escape with secrets and be killed on the spot. He was sure they probably killed children before.

He didn't make it far up when he came to another dead end. He made his way back down as a small pebble fell from where he was holding onto the wall. He held his breath and remained motionless as gravity pulled it to the earth. He waited to be caught and killed... but it never happened. The pebble must have landed on soft ground or something. He exhaled a sigh of relief and kept climbing.

Batsu's facial expression and stance remained the same. He wasn't one for being intimidated, nor was he gonna take bad anything that was said. The thing that was weird about the situation washe didn't recall saying anything remotely offensive.

It'd be brushed off as a simple accident and you were being a little suspicious. I on the other hand was hanging out ontop of the wall when I saw you, enjoying the breeze and the view." Gin said as a slightly crazy smile formed on his lips. Then it became an innocent smile with his eyes closing acting all innocent.

"I'm joking of course, what point would there be of that. I only do things that are challanging." Gin said as his eyes opened but his smile didn't fade. He ran his hand over his hair and took off his hat to wipe off the few branchs that were stuck to it from his jump into the trees. "I also know Shinzu, he interests me a littleas a fighter on the other hand." His smile didn't fade for a while but it soon became a look of bordeem as his normal emotionless face returned. He didn't like waiting all that much.

The boy shrugged as he flopped down onto the ground. This other guy was cocky, ignorant, and had a short fuse. Not exactly someone he wanted to associate with. The boy just sat one the ground and thought it best to remove himself from the convo. Hell, talking to a tree would be a more refreshing step up. At least trees didn't talk about self-righteous crap..

1 Fail
After the stressful situation he needed to get to the top as fast as possible. He found another route as he went back to where he came. He decided to take it and see where it went. Of course he didn't go far before he needed to turn around. He sighed and wished he would be able to get on top of this wall already.

19 Success
He continued along the wall, his hands ready to give up. He was getting closer and closer till the top ledge was at his grasp. he quickly pulled himself up and laid down on top of the wall. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and breathed heavily. He was terrified the entire time for fear of falling. After an experience like that he felt he could take on whatever this 'ghost' had coming...

10 Success
After catching his breath he leaned over the other side of the wall. It was a long way down. He needed to start his descent and it would be easier with a rope... if he had one. He just had to take it carefully. Yeah... like being careful is my strong suit... I just have a bad case of bad luck... He spit on his blistered hands and began his descent... slowly but surely.

5 Fail
He kept going until he couldn't find a foot hold. It was the same thing all over again. He could go down so far and then he would have to find another way down. This sucks, he thought to himself as he climbed back up only to climb back down again. The mystery of the note was the only thing driving him on. He really wanted to know who would send that to him and why.

2 Fail
He was going rather decently in his descent until one of the foot holds broke with his weight. He wanted nothing more than to get off this cursed wall. It had brought him nothing but trouble and he would walk around the village to get back home if he had to. He would stay away from this wall and any others after having this experience. He would resort to anything else before climbing over a wall.

11 Success
While in his thoughts of staying off a wall he didn't realize the progress he was making. When he looked down he estimated a good thirty feet left. He wished he was done and kiss the ground, happy to be back on something solid that wouldn't break under him. He could feel his heart racing and slowed his breathing to calm himself and concentrate on what he was doing.

He felt good about his pregress and looked down to see how far he had gone. Seeing now far he wasreally sent a chill up his spine. He was excited to almost be done but didn't like that his life as a ninja could end if he was to fall from as high as he was.

His slight fear of hights provved to be too much to bear as he panicked and lost his footing. This caused him to slide down the wall. When he finally finished sliding he became frozen. His heart was racing and he began hyperventilating. He didn't know if he would make it, and if he didn't, how be was going to sneak back home.

Seeing how it would be easier to just climb the wall and face the ghosts than to deal with his family he starting to climb up the wall once more. He sped upvto recover some lost time. He was able to make it back to where he fell from in only a few secones.

After a short breadline he continued up the wall he would he at the top shortly and from there getting down would he a breeze. He was almost three quarters of the way up and closing the gap quickly. He'd be there in a matter of se ones and would be down the other side within the minute.

He made it 75% up the wall and the wind picked up. Nothing serious but enough to shake a person climbing the side if a wall that was made for preventing its crossing. He was stuck there for only a few seconds but had to wait a bit longer before he could start climbing again. As he began his ascension he thought about how this all had better been worth it.
