So last week I actually went and bought some dice and a little character model to be my game piece. This will be the first time I spend more than 4 hours playing (I tried to play like 6 years ago and that's all we got to do due to circumstances).

My character is an Elf Druid with a honey badger pet. biggrin

What do you usually play as? Do you have any tips/ suggestions? Any funny/interesting stories about a time you played D&D? Wanna call me a nerd?

how do you play D&D i heard of it but never played it.

Well I obviously can't explain it all, but it is basically like a RPG. You have classes to choose from, skills, and work together to accomplish things. Of course D&D came before those online RPGs. You play with imagination. There are books that say what powers certain monsters have and you roll dice and fight them to win treasures and such so there are guidelines, but there is a blank map and little figurines to represent the monsters and characters.
It is very fun.

I found a group to play with here at college, but we haven't been together in a while -- my current character is Aasimir. <3 Glass cannon woooo!
I started in jr year of high school and never looked back. I have two sets of dice (I'll get more as soon as I launch my own campaign), all the books in the digital form and core rulebook in the physical.

As all things that're done properly I D&D vicariously, and if any of ya'll thought Let's Plays are hit 'n' miss, SWEET CHRISTMAS, MAN, IT'S LIKE WEB 1.0 OVER HERE. I'm still lookin' for anything that beats this.

I plan to write a short story series based on an amazing campaign I played in the past. My bf was thinking of recording some D&D sessions we are in, but not sure that will happen.
