honestly i think that if it were regulated properly i would have no problem with it. it may make me sound like a horrible person but i think that if u know what ur doing and ur over the age of 18 than its ur decision if u wanna be a prostitute and/or do weed. i think it would lower all the crime involving these topics. i know that when im told not to do something or that i can't it just makes me want to do it more. but then when im told oh its ok just do what u want then my interest drops. this is true for a lot of people i think it should be legal as long as it is properly protected and watched for problems

I think prostitution should be legal but you have to go to a brothel condoms are mandatory and security guards to keep people from harassing the employees.
I think weed should be legal too as the same system that Amsterdam has pretty much.
Both are good for the economy and they both show no signs of going away so might as well live with it.

Holly posts! This got busy while I was away.
I love that you guys feel the same way. It just doesn't make sense to me to keep such long lasting things suppressed when they are only dangerous as long as we ignore them.
It's like I said about Prohibition. At first when the nation went dry everything seemed great. But soon so much organized crime surrounded illegal booz transportation and consumption that they HAD to legalize it in order to be able to monitor it.
Once weed is legalized, most of the drug wars based on it will dissipate and the police force will be able to focus on the REAL criminals and dangers to the country.

I think both should have at least a chance at being legal. It's the person's choice when they're adults.
Weed could be taxed, but would need to start out heavily regulated as laws concerning its use are passed. Of course there's the concern of driving while high. Maybe make the legal age for its use 21, like alcohol?
And now to prostitution... Give it a chance, too. People are standing on street corners in sketchy neighborhoods to sell their bodies. If you film the act and sell it, the prostitute becomes a pron actor/actress; loopholes. Prostitution is legal in Nevada; and those people work in brothels. Considerably safer than that street corner. Should be regulated and laws and blah blah blah...
It would take a lot of work to get prostitution and weed legalized. Not only for the activists, but for the lawmakers as well.

They both encourage immoral and illegal behavior. But what are you gonna do about it? I'm sure we all know what happened during the prohibition era of the 1920s. The biggest issue with making either of them legal is that after making them legal, it will be impossible to make it illegal again without causing massive public distress. I'm not necessarily saying to keep it illegal, but just to keep it illegal until we can gather all the facts and acknowledge all the possible future consequences.

You know whats funny, I started a forum about the prostitution side of this argument and have two people claiming men will go sex mad and start screwing every prostitute going. How insane is that?

Racheal Shanks You know whats funny, I started a forum about the prostitution side of this argument and have two people claiming men will go sex mad and start screwing every prostitute going. How insane is that? I never said that. Stop putting words in my mouth and making me the bad guy. That is so incredibly rude of you to go off and say something like this to people who haven't seen the debate. If you keep this up I'm seriously going to block you so that I don't end up becoming incredibly pissed and start a real, full blown, fight with you.

I'm already talking about this in another form, but I only wanted to point one thing out... A few of the people said the crime rate related to those things would go down... Well of course it would! It would be legal~! emotion_yatta
