Raising an eyebrow at his words, the vixen shrugged slightly, grunting in response. Perhaps he was right, then again, she didn't really think much about it. Tail twitching when he mentioned pits, her eyes narrowed slightly in amusement, a low chuckle escaping her mouth. When he mentioned the turn she almost nipped his tail out of reflex, instead turning with him, bumping into him at the same time.

Snorting, the vixen stumbled slightly when she spotted slight light. She had almost forgotten what light looked like. Sighing in relief, the vixen picked up her pace. "I was almost afraid you brought me down here to get lost and die." She chirped out, tail flicking lazily.

Naru loosed an amused chuckle and shook his head. "I would never let you get lost and die in this cave. It's one of my favorite places and I don't think the smell of decay would make it any better." He teased, turning his head to grin at her mischievously. "Besides, I'm not too keen on dieing in here either." He said, nudging her as she came abreast of him just in time for them to step out of the close quarters and up to the edge of the water.

Sunlight filtered in from above through the large hole in the 'ceiling' of the cave, roots, and foliage dangling from the edges. The water was amazingly clear near their feet and slowly turned into a deep blue-green in the middle where it was much deeper. "So, what do you think? I think it's pretty and relaxing. The water is surprisingly warm too."

Lilith was silenced immediately as she stepped into the light. The vixen flicked her tail side to side, padding into the water and stopping before the darker spot, eyes peering about. She wasn't one normally known to appreciate beauty, however she clearly was struck in awe. Her head tilted back to vies Naru, eyes narrowing and lip turning into a playful grin.

"I think it's the perfect place to finally drown you!" She teased, leaping at the male and pulling him down into the water, avoiding the deep area. Her tail flicked around him before releasing him, allowing him to escape while she settled into the water, contently laying in the warm liquid. She shook her head free of water, lapping water up before stretching further into the water.

She did really enjoy this place, she decided.

Naru was surprised by the sudden attack, and came up spluttering. He sent a playful glare at the female before shaking as hard as he could, sending water droplets everywhere and splashing his companion. "As beautiful as this place is, I don't think my sorry hide should mar it." He replied, using a paw to splash at Lilith again.

He could tell she liked his lagoon. He was glad he had someone to share the place with again. Naru had come here alone often enough, but it definitely seemed more a place to share than to horde all to oneself.

She closed her eyes as water hit her, brushing her head backwards to try and avoid them, failing. Her tail flicked lazily, using it to scoop the water and fling it. She finally settled down, simply resting in the water. The fire-marked vixen actually liked water well enough, it seemed, whether that was expected or not. Her horns rubbed against a rock as she briefly sharpened them, head raising to view Naru.

"This wouldn't be a bad place to live, if I ever figured out the way to and back." She mused more to herself than him. She never had a set home before, maybe this could change.

Naru took the splash with a soft laugh and watched his companion start to relax. He saw her sharpen her horns and wasn't sure if it was cute or ominous. Grinning, Naru lay in the water, facing the shor and rolled over. The water covered his ears and belly and left his eyes, nose, and paws high and dry. His body rocked gently from side to side due to the little waves lapping at the beach.

"It isn't too hard to find your way. Since it's impossible to use your eyes, you have to follow your snoot. The lagoon sends fresh air into the caverns one way, and the outside world sends fresh air into the caverns the other way. Everything else just smells of damp and bat droppings. So which ever way you're going, you have to pick the turn off with the freshest scent."

Naru grinned at how odd his voice sounded with his ears underwater. Rolling onto his belly, he shook the water out of his ears.

"I'll have to leave marks. Maybe create artificial fire?"

The vixen watched Naru from her spot, considering moving closer. He wasn't bad, she had to admit. He was... he was fine to be around, that was the best he was ever getting. She tolerated him. Hmpf. Then why had she just inched slightly closer? Hell. Shut up. Don't be an idiot.

"Maybe Amy can teach me how to walk around in the dark." She absently added. s**t, Amy needed something to do these days, anyway. She viewed Naru once more, reaching forward and pawing his face, claws sheathed for once.

"You shouldn't spend as much time with me. You may end up as cranky as me." Oh ho, even she knew she was a d**k sometimes? It seemed so!

Naru tilted his head and gave the vixen a confused look. "Artificial fire? How do you make that?" He asked. Naru wasn't sure he'd want to leave fire unattended for long periods of time, though. What if it burned something down? "And you probably wouldn't be able to see any marks you make. It is rather dark."

Naru wiggled his nose and pretended to sneeze when Lilith pawed his face. He smiled at the female licked at the paw she'd been teasing him with. "Your friend could definitely help you walk around in the dark. Did you know you can actually feel how close you are to a wall? It takes practice, but you can."

He laughed and waved his tail. "I don't know about cranky. I don't normally get cranky. You may get infected with optimism, though." He teased back.

"I'm not sure... but the humans do it. I could steal something from the humans."

Her tail twitched lazily, nose scrunching. Still, she didn't like being near the humans and would prefer to avoid stealing something that smelled as horrid as them. It'd be useful, no doubt, but was she willing to slip into their massive dens and actually allow their stench to bombarde her? Ick. The lick to her paw drew her from her silent, grumpy musings, ears flicking briefly. Her head tilted, frowning as she glanced at the walls once more.

"No, I didn't. She was saying something along those lines last time I saw her, though I didn't think much of it at the time." Her paw batted at his waved tail, rolling her eyes at his own jest and flipping onto her back, pawing at the males chin from where she was. Her strange tailed swayed in the water, causing gentle ripples.

"Me? Optimistic? Pffff. That'd be like asking a chicken to fly across the sea."
