I guess it really depends on the guy, for me some guys think it werid and some are perfectly fine with it, scream But i hate the ones that think there all that and can beat u at anything, just cause there a guy and your a girl

Pherfiniel XD Yeah. There are some guys who sit in front of their computers all day and play video games. (Okay, minus school and arcades, I do that too.) But they just assume that girls aren't into violence and such. They're wrong, but I can't count the number of times I've heard: "WTF? Girls don't play ___(insert game here)___!"
What about the GameBOY? XP That's where nintendo lost me. I'm still waiting on the GameGIRL. :] OMG, yeah! PETITION!!!! Someone send a letter! Blerp.

Once my family friends came over and I was like, let's play playstation, so we did and they were crap at it and I won the game and when I went their house they made me play dragonball z against them and i didn't know how the hell to play and they won and they were like, 'i'm better than you'. What the hell???

I think it's just because of stereotypes that guys just assume girls don't play video games, whereas most girls just assume guys play video games. I know quite a few guys who don't play video games actually. o.o
I'm a bigger gamer than a lot of guys at my school. In fact, I think there are maybe...3 or 4 other girls who even LIKE video games at my school. XD
Girls are suposed to like shopping and makeup, guys are supposed to like war and video games. 3nodding Stereotypes SUCK! >O

I honestly think it's because many girls are too shy to mention the games they play to guys. And also because until recently, many girls -didn't- play video games.
Personally, I never played videogames until I was about 14 (I'm 19 now), and when I started playing, I was extremely shy playing with guys because I was terrible.
The games I liked were pretty much exclusivly RPG's (which are largely one player games) and strategy games. It wasn't until Warcraft Online was popular did I become confident in even letting guys know I played games.
And I don't play the same videogames most of my guy friends play. I absolutly loathe FPS's. Halo literally makes me motion sick. I also hate sports games, and only very few racing games are fun to me.

Halo literally makes me motion sick. ...ya FPS games tend to mess with your ballence if you're too focused on it, I remeber when a few years ago, I was playing wolfenstine 3D (the origonal FPS for those who don't know), I would eventualy forget about my actual surroundings and all of the turning messed with my head and made me sick to my stomach (the fact I was "sucked" into the game doing all of those turns when infact I wasn't turning)

It really sucks, they all say it like they've never seen a girl before lmao....I would be the exeption to that.....I would wait until we've played like 15 diffrent rounds on a game (usuly over a period of several days) and sortof got to know each other in game before even asking for her real name (with whispers of corse) even then I usuly just play with them knowing in the back of my head she's not a guy and treat them the same way I would treat any guy playing the game ex: in half life if a girl came in, I wouldn't give her a handycap just because of gender

Its true, like 90% of games are directed at males, look at dead or alive beach volleyball, rumble roses, leisure suit larry neutral rolleyes completely made to attract guys into buying it... wut games would girls be attracted to? lol hello kitty roller rescue? racing games, sports games = for men.
Probably any girl who isnt a hardcore gamer would like the sims maybe, though everyone has different tastes. Its good to see that games are being made to suit everyone now though, ragnarok online, world of warcraft, ROSE online to name a few. Another reason is how society was in the past. My mom comes n see's me playing world of warcraft or halo and she's like 'ohh why do you like those games for, look at that, so ugly, thts for boys'
When you think about it, what do us girls do, the ones that don't play games? Hang out with friends? listen to music? watch tv? when I think about things to do other than playing games, life feels so... DULL. girls who don't play games are missing out on sooooooooooooooooooooooo much.

exactly. I was at this guy's party, and they were playing Super Smash Bros. Melee, and the guys were the only ones playing, and when I said I wanted to play. They switched from teams to melee, cuz no one wanted to be on my team, and of course, I killed them all x.x And I won by a landslide >.<

And I like the Sims, DDR, SSBM, Grand theft auto, Final Fantasy, Xenosaga, and a lot more. I have 8 game systems too, so buahahaha. More than a lot of the guys ^.^

Marshy wants you to buy lotto tickets. I think every gamer girl has a rant about this. Here's mine: There are some jerks out there that think girls can't play games. I encountered the biggest jerk of them all one day while chatting in the chatterbox. stare The way the dude talked, you would've think he invented the whole gaming industry. However, some guys defend us! And they're awesome. But..... It feels good when I can sit down and play with anybody, guy or girl, be competitive or non-competitive, and have a good time.
