Riyo loved ironic situations... When she wasn't apart of them.
Saying things like 'careful' or 'watch where you're going' always seemed to have the opposite affect, and it appeared today was no different.
"I'm fFFFFFFFFFFFF-" And the irony wouldn't be complete if she wasn't saying how fine she would be at the moment her foot slipped under her, but that wasn't even the cherry on top.
Instead of falling into the ground and receiving a face full of floor, she fell into... The dragon. Oh Jack, why couldn't it have been the floor? Why?

With the fountain not too far off, Jericho didn't expect Riyo to fall over. He especially didn't expect her to fall onto him, but it saved him some trouble of having to catch or help her up.
"Woah," he started while pulling the feline girl back. For now, he kept his arms in place around her shoulders, just to make sure she was steady.
Maybe five minutes was too long on the bikes?
"Er.. you alright there?" he asked, really not all too phased by the trip.

She would've been alright, had she not come in contact with a boil.
Oh sweet Sally, she could feel her face turning redder than her eyes. Too close... This was much too close for her comfort.. And his hands. His hands were still there!
"F-f-f-fine..." She squeaked, arms curling up around herself defensively. No nosebleed, no nosebleed, she could handle this. He'd let go in a second and everything would be fine. Just avoid eye contact and pretend there's at least 5 feet between the two of you.

Jericho furrowed his brow as he saw the way Riyo was reacting. It looked like she was on the verge of a break down.
Come to think of it, she had completely freaked out when he collided into her that one time at the festival, saying he was molesting her or something like that. Someone must have some issues with this sort of thing.
Figuring that she was at least steady, he let go of her.
"You know.. I'm not diseased or anything," he said.

Riyo appeared relieved to finally have her space, letting out a sigh and relaxing herself...
Until she heard his followup comment.
If she hadn't felt like a complete b***h already, she sure did now.
"No... You're not diseased." The feline agreed, her eyes falling to the ground like a child caught doing something unacceptable. She didn't want to explain herself or divulge the reasons behind it, but to offend him was to lose the closest thing he had to a trustworthy acquaintance (which was the closest thing she had to a friend).
"I'm... Um... Not... Comfortable with physical contact." Riyo tried to explain. "It's just... Something that started when I was small... And..." The bellowing words of a woman echoed back into her mind, the voice being so loud she almost couldn't hear herself think. The ghoul's hands reached up towards her ears, covering them as if somebody was screaming at her. "I..."
She could almost see that silhouette towering over her, just like when she was a child.
"... I'm a mess."

Again, Riyo did something that Jericho did not expect. He thought she'd just brush it off and possibly say something a little snarky to his comment, but instead she stood there, looking rather sad. The explanation had him at a loss for words. Exactly what did you say to something like this?
"Oh... well then... sorry," he started while furrowing his brow. He thought of patting her on the shoulder, but he refrained.. considering she just told him she wasn't comfortable with physical contact. It was also probably a good thing he didn't physically try to help her out with stretches earlier.
"Look. Let's just forget about this little run in. You might have your issues, but I wouldn't exactly call you a mess. You're.. probably just tired from the work out," the dragon nodded.

Lowering her arms, Riyo seemed to calm down when he apologized. For some reason, she felt like the one who needed to say sorry.
"It's alright." Now things just felt awkward. Very awkward. Like walking into the wrong house kinda awkward.
At the very least, she could consider herself lucky it was Jericho and not Deacon... "Y-yeah. I'm tired from the workout. That's it. Heh." Oh he didn't even know the half of it, and wouldn't if the cat demon had anything to do with it.
"I should go." Before things got worse. Wobbling the last few steps to the water fountain, Riyo took a small drink and moved over to her coat. Looked like Felix had been taking a nap for the last part of the training...
"Get up." Riyo mumbled with a prod, causing the hazcat to snap out of his peaceful sleep and hop off the fancy article of clothing.

Nodding to Riyo, Jericho went ahead and got some water after she did, then turned towards the feline.
"Alright. In that case, good work for today. We'll be meeting here three days a week if possible. If you can't make it, let me know ahead of time. Sounds good?" he asked, trying to set up a regular schedule for her. She wouldn't be getting any stronger from a one shot trip to the gym after all.

"Yeah. I'm fine with that." Riyo nodded quickly and tossed the coat on, not that she needed it after practically sweating out all the water in her body.
"See you then." And with that, she was wobbling out the door. Riyo would ask how she could repay him... When the situation didn't scream awkward.
Felix seemed confused at his owners rush to leave. She hadn't been in a rush before...
Oh well. Giving the dragon a quick meow in passing, the nergal feline took off after it's master.

"See ya," Jericho waved, giving Felix a little one as well. He was still a little confused about what the hell had just happened there, but there was no point in speculating now. The dragon went on and gathered his things as well before heading out.
