 ⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ When she was answered, Bathsheba's glare intensified and the blood lust grew. She wasn't personally angry with Tobias, as it was not his crime, but he was the closest thing she had to his father. Hearing her committed suicide only fed the need she had to personally kill him, because she not felt cheated. Cheated from a family and cheated from the justice she should have from the first cheating.
"Good." She growled. "At least he understood what he did, and got away before I came. Because I would have put him through Hell." Feeling more tears come, Bathsheba buried her face into Jarid's back again, hyperventilating as her anger and grief mixed, making hot tears slid down her face as she resumed sobbing.

"Enough, Captain. The matter is out of your hands." Colonel Jackson turned back to Preston. "Son, I've not made up my mind. I'm giving you a chance to justify killing the Rev Raptor pilot. And 'keeping your comrades safe' isn't gonna fly. It was a Rev Raptor. A Zoid easily dispatched by a Command Wolf, Zaber Fang, and especially a Blade Liger. I'm giving you a chance to NOT go to prison for the rest of your natural life." The KGB Agent continued to smile evily at Jarid. The way she saw it, there would be no way out for him. Tobias sighed and went boack to his earlier position, to the rear left of the Colonel, position of Attention, a thoughtful look on his face.

"Colonel. There is nothing else for me to say. I saw the opportunity to lower the number advancing upon us and took it. If by doing so requires that I be imprisoned or put to death, I do not care." Preston replied almost immediately.

⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ As if feeling the smile, Bathsheba pulled her face out slightly to glare at the KGB agent. She hated the way she smiled at her brother, and could tell immediately he was the target. Though Preston was in trouble with the Colonel (and officially the KGB too), it was clear with that smile Jarid was the trophy. Preston would be nothing more but a bonus to her.
Bathsheba had to bite down on her tongue, holding back a verbal lashing her heart and mind wanted to give. She wanted so badly to tell off this b***h, even if it ruined her career. But Jarid's life and career was a stake and she didn't dare make any sort of risk or push him closer to the woman's grasp. For now, she settled on throwing a cold, murderous, protective glare at the woman.

Zahzi "Very well. Private First Class Preston has given up his right of defense. Now to the less serious charges." The Colonel picked up the paper again. "Disrespecting an Officer. Threatening an Officer." He set the paper down. "Disrespect is grounds for removal of rank. Threatening is grounds for discharge. You should know that disrespect is something I do not tolerate, no matter the rank,. I will not tolerate someone disrespecting one of my officers, nor an officer disrespecting one of my Privates. And threatening explains itself. So, explain your actions."

"I did so only after the Captain did more than disrespect another soldier, the one directly behind me. After berating her of her decisions, he threatened her very rank. I saw it fit to defend my peer." Jarid replied, not lying in the least.
"The threatening followed soon after because of his actions prior."

He glanced at the paper of charges.
"And the fact that Staff Sergeant Caymen is your younger sister makes this worse. That is where the Fraternization comes in. To answer the out of turn question when this began, the reason that your inappropriate relationship with Staff Sergeant Caymen wasn't brought up before, is because no one noticed it. However, Ebinay Air Base has enough visual surveillance that it was caught on camera, both audio and visual. You and her may not feel the same way, but you are controlling her. If you were husband and wife, it would be considered Domestic Abuse. The Only reason you're not being charged with that is because you two do not co-habitate. TO be perfectly honest, Captain Winters, though out of line himself, was being a good leader when he berated your sister."

⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ "Permission to speak, Colonel Jackson." Bathsheba asked with a slight growl, not caring for the fraternization charges and accusations on her brother. She wanted to yell, but she had to keep control, or else things would get worse. She wasn't going to risk her brother's career over her anger.

The Russian woman opened her mouth to speak, but was silenced by a slashing motion made by Tobias. While he loved Russia and the Russian people, he had no love for the KGB. Colonel Jackson looked over at Bathsheba in surprise. "Yes you may. Though Sergeant Caymen will remain silent until spoken to by myself. And if he disrespects Agent Ivanova again, he will regret it." Colonal Jackson nodded to Bathsheba, giving her permission to begin. (( This is what I imagine playing when Sheba spoke up. XD))

"My brother is not holding me back in any way, shape, or form. He has no form of control on me. While I may respect him as a brother and oblige with some things he tells me as a brother, I do NOT let him control him. If I truly want something, I will do it regardless of his thoughts and feelings.the fact I just consider his feelings is not wrong, and if it is, I don't want to be right, Sir." She said, her tone never faltering.
"Unless you will it, I have nothing else to say, Sir."

"You realize when the phrase 'With all due respect' is used, the following is very disrespectful? However, I'll let it slide. I have a question for you. If he has no control over you, why are you not a Zoid pilot? And why have you not traveled on your own, for fear Sergeant Caymen would 'freak out?' " The Colonel tapped the display to remind her that he had an audio and visual recording of everything.

⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ "I decided against being a pilot after Jarid and I discussed for several days about what I should do for my career. Jarid had made decent arguments that with how badly I handle negative emotions, the battlefield would not be a decent place for me to be. Watching people die and fight like animals. And, if I had become a pilot, my chances of being separated from him would increase, something I don't to do as thanks to David's mistake, he's my only family." She answered, her tone remaining strong as she was telling no lie.
"As for my comment on him freaking out, that was merely a statement on how he feels when I do go. He sometimes gets a bit upset when I have fun without him, and naturally worries for my safety. Prior to the recent news, we believed our family was killed by the enemy, so we both naturally worry it could happen again, and kill one of us."

"Yet you still state your desire to be a pilot. And everyone around you comments about how you seem to be beneath him. Remeber, perception is key. The simple fact that you discuss decision making with your brother speaks volumes for your ability to make choices on your own. A good soldier, especially a noncom, takes initiative. This is a war, Sergeant. Everyone is going to worry about their loved ones. But when it becomes that one refuses to do what they wish out of fear of that loved one worrying, it becomes unhealthy. As I said earlier, if the two of you were married instead of brother and sister, it would be Domestic Abuse. You may refuse to believe it, but you are being controlled, even if it's in smaller ways." Colonel Jackson leaned back, clasping his hands over his stomach.
