BSPBleach well an argument ive seen is that obama is sucking because he's picking up the peices bush supposedly left. so that means that all of bush's suckiness was because he was picking up the pieces left behind from reagan. and so on, so forth whatever. So basically you're saying this country's going to hell all because Reagan put a little too much trust in people?

Yeah, it seems America does tend to have a short term memory when it comes to previous presidents. Also, we should issue a constitution literacy test for all politicians.

U.S. elections are tough (I'm sure other countries' elections are too, though). Essentially, the last election was between Obama, a very well-presented man that could probably weasel his way out of any situation with pretty words, or McCain, a man who would likely become another LBJ and waste too much on military. On top of that, it was obvious that the rest of the world loved Obama over McCain (not everyone, but nearly everyone). All elections seem to be between "getting-nothing-done" and "making-things-worse", or "making-things-worse" and "making-things-much-worse". Anyway, once the initial, glorious moment of inauguration was over, the public began to scrutinize his agenda and demanded the promised "change we can believe in".
I don't really know how much has changed since Obama became president, but I can say that I feel safer with Barrack Obama than I did with George W. Bush, and I feel that the rest of the world respects the U.S. much more. I have no idea who I'll vote for this election; I might not vote at all if I don't feel confident in either choice. Bipartisanship's a b***h. >.<

Right now Obama is the safest vote if shows like "Wait, Wait" are telling the truth. The entire Republican side, apparently, has been making servere goof-ups, and from what I heard, things are spiralling hillariously out of control. We like car crashes a lot in America, and if things default, we're in for one of the biggest wrecks in years.

..s.k.i.t.t.l.e.s.. Also. Might I make it a point that the American people have been allowing the Government to rape them in the a** since the dawn of time. We are billions of people and the government is a select few. We have been needing a civil war like yesterday. But the American people are totally ******** fine to give up civil liberties for what they feel is, "Freedom." If we wanted too, we could do something. But are there any efforts made? No.
And I don't want to hear any totalitarian bullshit about how we can vote. American's are too stupid to vote. Why? Because half the ******** idiots that voted for Bush voted for him because he, "Loved America." What a bloody STUPID a** REASON to vote for someone! I love America too, but you don't see my white a** being voted into office. NO! WE NEED A REVOLUTION. And I know that sounds stupid, anarchist, and all sorts of stupid. But it is suppose to be all people united under one flag. Not, a select few deciding what is united under what flag.
-sighs- I sound like a serious douche bag. Forgive me. But I feel that we as people need to start looking at what we can do, and less about what we can't and what is crappy about our country.
We CAN stand together. We CAN start making demands. We CAN get our school systems back to where they need to be. But you know what the biggest obstacle is for that? Ourselves. Until we can fix that, our country will remain divided. yeah i agree. i mean i like democracy its just that america barely functions as one anymore. really i don’t like either party much (republican or democrats) because politics seem to more of a competition of who can have the best lies and propaganda rather than actually serve the public. so really there aren’t any recent presidents or presidential candidates i like much.and i don’t really like the argument that being the president is a hard job, that would be like if a surgeon blames all his failures an the fact that he doesn't like blood. simply if you cant handle “running” a country don't try to. stare the people of the us really need to be less lazy and actually care about what happens to them. there isn't much we cant do if people actually care. i mean if this was a true democracy i think a lot of things would be fixed... for example court cases seem to be won solely on who hires the more expensive lawyer, rather than if crimes were quite obviously committed. basic liberties that we are supposed to have because of the constitution are actually debated even though those are also supposed to be obvious. choosing a politician has pretty much come to who do you think will do less damage to us. and of course not caring about things such as school even though if you asked most americans they i’m assuming would want those to be better. which kinda contradicts democracy since that would mean that the majority opinion would be implemented etc. confused

TaoShaman I don't know enough about the candidates to know who I'd vote for yet, but people seem to be blaming the president for a lot. Being president is one of the hardest jobs there is and it can't be easy with everyone blaming him for every little thing. He's not the only one that controls things and nobody can agree on anything. I agree about the schools. This one substitute I always had traveled all over the world seeing different schools and said America's schools are actually pretty bad compared to the rest of the world especially with how money is used and given to schools. He said my school was really good though, so I guess I'm just lucky. But I know some other schools are pretty awful. This, though its getting pretty close, I should start paying attention... only thing I know for sure, is if Bachman gets the job, I'm leaving the country...

*Reads every single post on here* Hmmm. Hmmm.... Hmmm.... Well, that concludes everything. I can't understand ******** politics. *____* So far, all I know is, Obama isn't delivering, everyone is blaming Bush, budget cuts are ******** us students in the a*****e (at least they lubed us first), and... WE ARE IN ******** DEBT TO THE WORLD!!! That's all I know. We owe billions to other countries and I'm wondering where the hell we're going to get all that money from. Hopefully the budget cuts is for that or else I'm gonna trip. Bleh, I don't know s**t. People like me don't care about what is happening to our country. I wish I could do something about it, but 1) I don't know what's going on and 2) I wouldn't know how to fix it. Being the President is a ******** hard job. Just the thought of being assassinated would just make me touch my nose and say, "NOT IT!" in a heart beat. I might as well just move to a foreign country for education. I feel like we're going to be owned by China soon too. I just duuun get it! > M <
