Deimos took a giant, deliberate step back. "Wow. And I thought I had a habit of invading personal space." He shook his head, but still seemed amused. Putting on his best languid pose, he turned to look at De. "You'll have to ask you mom exactly why she decided to start attacking nature, cause she gave me an answer that was mostly filled with insults that I'm sure were excuses."
Now he affected a pained expression. "All I did was walk up to see if she was alright, and she started hurling all sorts of insults and accusations at me. So I, being an excellent samaritan, attempted to calm her and help correct some of her vastly unjust views."
Dei glanced at Hael and raised an eyebrow in an innocent way. "Apparently your mother thinks Daevas are the scourge of the earth. I managed to convince her that not all of us are naturally malignant by nature. Same for those with Daeva blood in them." He dropped the act a bit, grinning mischeivously. "Okay, perhaps not convinced. Certainly pissed her off by making several valid points and observations though, and she concedes that her views might be in need of changing."

Looking shocked De blushed. “I’m sorry. I did not mean to shock or offend you sir.” De sighed deeply about asking his mother. He had a pretty good idea what would cause his mother to snap. He left to go be with Yuna and Hael had mulled it over for days until her built up anger came rushing out. Still looking at her showed that she wasn’t injured physically at least.
He blinked shocked at the other male’s summery of events. The deava had taken care of his mother and not gotten attacked? He looked the male up and down. You’re not bleeding are you?” De asked this in all seriousness. If the male was hurt from his mother then De felt he should take of the male until he was well again. “I know her vies on deavas only too well.” He took a breath. “You did what?” De’s jaw was hanging open.
Hael glared the two boys. “Honestly one of is an irritating pig and the other is an unbelieving stump.” Hael felt very smug as her clearly shocked son turn his opened mouth gaze at her. “Oh stop with that look. I can be just as sassy as any girl my son. Just because I became a mother doesn’t mean I have to slow down and protect you.” Hael took a breath. “Or your future mate.” Hael was not about to admit that Deimos had been right about so much to her son.

Deimos just shrugged. "We went over this already, we know I'm irritating. One of my personality trademarks," he said lazily. It went against the grain to get all worked up about things that weren't important, it was a blatent waste of energy. "And of course I'm not bleeding. You see this stunning white coat? It would definetly show blood if any happened to be flowing."
As for the rest of it, Dei was just bored. The shock the male showed had nothing to do with him, so was a tad boring. And the smugness Hael had going on was also just a touch boring. It wasn't very well earned, in his mind, at least not yet.

“Yes yes you have a very nice coat.” De was being honest, but he was also getting a headache. This was just too much a pain in the tail.. and was his mother teasing him? She never teased him? When did she stop trying to be an emotionless overprotective mother? When did she start talking to deavas and not snapping at them. Ah De’s head hurt and he held a paw up to it after he shut his mouth and shook his head. This was just too much.
Hael preened a bit. “Don’t let his vanity gain any more head. He’s a washed up rag with purple stains.” Hael rolled her eyes ready to get off the topic of the deava. She knew she had changes to make and was willing to make them.. slowly. As such she was feeling rather sassy. “What have you been doing?”

"Says the creature of patternless browns who's only real eye-drawing color is a somewhat tacky accessory," Deimos countered, sitting in his fully upright position and eyeing the shawl again. Really, if she was going to carry something around like that she was gonna have to wash it before the dirt stains from her last escapade set it.
But now he was well and truly bored. "Can the big, bad Daeva be exused now," he asked, rolling his eyes upward. "I'm fairly positive none of this has anything to do with me, and I have better things to do that just sit and be ignored."

“I happen to be a lovely cream thank you.” Hael sniffed in distain at Deimos. “And this scarf is not tacky!” Tacky really? He called her scarf tacky! Insufferable swine. It’s a pity she owed so much to him. She waved a paw at him dismissively. No she didn’t think the ‘big bad Deava’ could do any more for her unless he wanted to annoy her to the point of murder. “No, your work here is done naïve, you may go.” She knew she shouldn’t be so rude to the one who helped her trough so much, but well, Deimos had a thick coat and could deal with a few insults here and there. She did give him a long considering look before she swallowed her pride. “Thank you Deimos. Your words no matter how cutting and aggravating will not be something I forget anytime soon.” She meant it.
De just blinked and nodded at Deimos very confused and overwhelmed. He wasn’t sure what had transpired but he knew he had much to thank this male for. “Ah, thank you Deimos.” Really what else could he say? His head was spinning along with the rest of his world.
(I feel bad for De he felt like he just flew into the twilight zone *cues the music*)

Deimos turned his back to the Phims and spread his wings wide. "Naturally. My words are always worth remembering," he said in the loftiest voice he could manage. Arrogence was always something he could do well. It wasn't the last impression he left on them though, for Dei turned his head to the side to view the Phims out of one eye.
And he was smiling. It was a very Dei-ish smile, eyes still narrowed slightly and hardly more than the lips twitching upward in a way that could almost be considered a smirk. But instead of arrogence there was actually a pronounced kindness in his expression, an almost paternal benevolence.
The moment didn't last long, maybe for a single second. Dei faced forward again, crouched, then launched himself into the air. He was thinking he was ready for a nap now, and there should be some good trees around here.
((Do we wanna end it here or do a time skip or something else?))

De blinked at Deimos’s parting. Was that male a arrogant a** or a bitter-sweet savior? He really couldn’t be sure. The change in De’s mother was amazing. He looked back to her and then to Deimos. He wondered if perhaps someday he could thank the male properly. He hoped so. For now though De had a mad scheme in his mind and he wanted to use this time now while his mother’s mind was still in such a giving mood when it came to those with deava blood. “Mother I think we need to speak. It’s about my family, my mate.”
Hael laughed out loud. It was the first time she had truly laughed aloud like a clear chime in a long time. How good it felt. She smiled at Deimos’s passing. She would rather get skinned alive and rolled about in salt before admitting that she found the pain in the tail a rather charming fox. She hoped he landed on a branch and it broke out from under him. Her son’s interruption pulled her from any more imaginings and she could only nod not looking forward to what she knew in her feathers was coming next.
(Ok I vote right now that either Hael or De name one of their future kids Deimos. >.> )
