Mercedes giggles "Ya let's go look!" she started walking deeper into the fog, making sure that Tashi was close behind. As they walked they could hear the sound of another clip clopping behind them, or was it just them breaking sticks? She turned quickly only to be face to face with Tashi. "Okay I changed my mind, let's go back" she said quickly and tried to move around the light mare.

"I agree." Tashi said quickly. "Doesn't it feel like someone...or something is watching us?...I just have this eerie feeling." The fog was just getting thicker, it seemed like it was seething and trying to pull them deeper into the forest. She quickly turned the same way as the other filly and took off at a light run to make sure Mercedes would follow. Tashi knew she couldn't find her own way out so she needed Mercedes to lead so they wouldn't get lost in this labyrinth like forest.

A laugh rang out in the forest and Mercedes screamed and picked up her pace. "I changed my mind, let's never come here again!" she cried out as she weaved in and out of the trees. The further they went Mercedes expected the fog to dissipate as it had many times before but now it persisted even got thicker as they ran towards what Mercedes knew to be the right way. Oh god what have I gotten myself and my new friend into?! she thought to herself as she broke into a full on gallop, knowing that Tashi was right behind her. "LEAVE US ALONE!" she cried out, her voice squeaky with fear.

When the laughter came out of the dark forest, Tashi ran even faster just like Mercedes did. Not only to keep up with her, but she wanted to get out of the scary forest. They ran and ran and everything seemed like they were just going in a circle. "Mercedes?! Are you sure we're going the right way?" Tashi yelled loudly in hopes her friend would hear it. Nothing looked familiar, but that might just be the forest playing tricks on them. Tashi didn't think they had gone that far into the forest but it seemed they had. While they were galloping, Tashi's clumsiness never failed and she tripped over her own feet and rolled because of her momentum.

Mercedes stopped quickly and turned around to come to her friend's aid. "Are you alright?" she asked as she stood on guard until the little filly could get back up on her hooves. She snorted and pinned her ears back as she listened for any sound. She was ready to attack whenever it was necesarry, but wanted to make sure Tashi was alright. "I am sure we're going the right way. Let's just keep heading the way we were. I've walked through these woods enough to be able to have an understanding of where we are." she said reassuringly.

Tashi got up quickly and gave her friend a weak smile of thanks when she saw that Mercedes was standing guard. "Ok. Wait..." Tashi froze, she heard twigs cracking not even twenty feet from them. "Whatever it is...its close Mercedes..." Her skin shivered and trembled in fear. "Should we face it or just run?" she asked hesitatingly.
