Chara shook his head "There is nothing particular, I was just curious" he said and began to graze. He had forgotten that she had a chosen, would he have to meet her chosen? He shook his head pushing the thought from his mind. He would have to deal with that if the time came. "I never knew my parents" he started, the thought coming from no where "They were taken by humans and I was left to fend for myself. I like to know people's histories is the only reason I asked" He smiled nervously and added "I didn't mean to seem prying." He started grazing again trying to get his composure back "I don't like large groups either, that's why I'm usually alone!" he spoke with a smile, hoping to change the subject.

Nailiah noticed the change again. She kept quiet simply grazing on the grass. When he suddenly spoke about his parents, things seemed to fall into place. "I have no parents." She said herself walking around a little to find a better spot to graze, closer toward Chara. "If I had them, I don't know them. Dark found me in a cave during a storm one night. She took me in, kept me warm with her fire, and we took care of each other. She's part of my family." Nailiah stared at him now, her silver eyes slightly glowing with affirmation of her relationship with the human. "Not all humans are like those that took your parents, Chara. And not all Azrein are like me or you." She turned again resuming her feeding trying not to feel tense or tired. "I think knowing others is important. You have to know if your company is good or bad." Nailiah smiled at him giving a gentle whicker of understanding. "I've never been around much large groups. I stay close to home or when I travel, I make sure to stay out of sight. Slightly hard since I'm white with a flashy red mane.." The mare whinnied in gentle laughter.

Chara nodded as he listened. He knew not all humans were evil but every one he met was either completely consumed by evil or eaten up with self absorbance. He hated the lot of them and did not care to meet another but for this mare, he would bare through one. "That is true, it is important to know if one's friends are good or evil" he agreed "I can see how it would be hard for you to stay out of sight. You're so beautiful and your coat is so flashy that I doubt you are ever truly out of sight"

She stopped feeding for a moment as he again called her pretty. Nailiah took in a breath looking toward him with a gentle nicker. "Thank you....I'm...not used to being called pretty..." The mare looked over toward him stretching her neck and body to full height then relaxing. "Actually...you're the first to call me beautiful, Chara. The first...Azrein really. I've considered myself...plain. A lot of mares around here are very flashy with colors and patterns. The only thing colorful about me is personality." Her ears flicked and twitched as she then looked down to get back to feeding.

Chara could not believe what he had heard, no one had told her she was beautiful before? He shook his head in disapproval. Are all Azrein that blind? he thought before he smiled and looked into her eyes "Plain? Don't even consider it again" he said, his voice caring and soft "I was only speaking on your physical beauty. When you factor in your personality it makes you one of a kind" He nodded and brushed her forelock out of her eyes softly. "I think you're perfect" he whispered. He leaned his head down again and began to graze. He had never felt this way before, when ever she spoke his heart pounded and his soul soared. He hoped he had not stepped out of bounds by saying such things to her. He truly believed them, and hoped that she would take them to heart.

Nailiah stopped feeding looking toward him with a blank stare. Had he really said that about her? That she was beautiful inside and out? Her heart wanted to leap out of her chest, a small smile forming on her lips. The mare blinked a little, ears flicking forward as he brushed her hair from her eyes. Nailiah trotted over toward him starting to feed closer toward Chara. She nudged his nose as they grazed. "Thank you, Chara. I...appreciate you sincere words." Nailiah whispered gently staring to look toward him as if to catch his eyes. "So..where do you live?"

Chara smiled as she moved closer. He was so happy around her, but when their noses met his heart raced. He was pleased that she did not feel his statement anything other than sincere. "I do not really have a 'home'. I wander usually and sleep where and when I am tired." he said. He had never been ashamed to not have a home until now. His eyes met hers and he nuzzled against her before he continued to graze. He enjoyed this little spot, the sound of the stream trickling by as he grazed always relaxed him. Sharing this spot with Nailiah made it so much better, he could even hear the birds singing in far away trees.

Nailiah nodded in understanding. He didn't have a chosen and he was considered one of the 'neutral parties' in this life. But Nailiah began to think a little..."Chara...what if you made here your home? And I'll come visit you every day?" Her nose gently nudged his, a smile forming on her face. 'And eventually stay here with you... Her mind wandered a little staring into his eyes. She felt her cheeks grow warm keeping close to the stallion. "Do you see anything on your travels? Meet anyone?"

Chara smiled "I think I would be happy to call this place my home, and even happier if it meant that you may come every day!" he replied with a nod. "I have seen many things in my travels. Met many Azrein both pleasant and unpleasant. You would be surprised how many there are to meet, I have still seen those whom I have not even met in passing." he said "I do not stay long so those I have met have been only acquaintances." He looked up and smiled again at her "What about you, have you met many Azrein? Since you live in one place you must have good friends, or I would guess. I have never had that life so I don't know"

She whinnied quite glad that he would stay. It would make it much easier for her to find him. She grew interested in his small summary of where he went and who he met. But it saddened her that he really didn't have any friends. At his question, she had to pause and give some thought. "Well..the first Azrein I met was the King's chosen, Valdien. He's not a bad sort, and the two are very close. Then there was a very cocky brute who liked to fondle mares with his eyes. But he was funny. OH! And a guard for the king. He was quite sweet, but we only met briefly. He takes his job very seriously. I've seen a few foals, been greeted by a few other Azrein who have called Dark's home their home. I even met one who was lost, but we found our way back together, so it wasn't so bad." Her ears flicked as her silver eyes studied Chara before coming to rest on his face. "A few good friends are great to have." The mare gave a gentle nicker before nipping at his ear. "I guess you like traveling more than settling, huh?"

Chara smiled "It's not that I prefer traveling. It's just that it's all I've known. I usually don't make friends easily and often find enemies of those I spend too much time with. So I don't stay in one place too long." he said with a slight shake of his head, obviously thinking of the many arguments that sent him packing. "I have not met the king, or any of his friends. I have heard they are agreeable, though I must admit I'm not really very eager to meet the human" he tried to keep his own ideals to himself, knowing that she had a chosen. This was something he would have to come to terms with if he wanted to see her more, which he certainly did; if she could stand him.

Nailiah watched him as his moods changed. She was studying him, how he moved, what he was like. The mare came toward him slowly nudging his cheek. "Chara..." Her eyes were compassionate now, voice calm yet stern. "I want to thank you...for being this nice to me. For being willing to listening to who and what I am..." Nailiah wrapped her neck around his taking in his scent and closing her eyes nuzzling into his neck and mane. "You don't have to if you don't want to, Chara. Even though she is important to me, you don't have to. You've done enough by just being willing."

Chara was silent for a few moments after Nailiah spoke, obviously trying to think of a response. He nuzzled closer to her, allowing his mane to lean over her fire red locks. He moved his mouth closer to her ear "For you darling, I would do anything." he whispered softly before putting his head back against her side and closing his eyes allowing her scent to fill his nostrils. He liked her so, everything about her was perfect. He would jump into a burning forest for her, so why not meet the human? It couldn't be worse than fire consumed trees, could it?

The mare nickered gently nudging his cheek and nipping his forelocks. She couldn't help but feel her heart flutter at the thought and feel of him being around. The stallion seemed so chivalrous and kind. Brave too. She could feel his strength radiate from him making things seem so calm and right. Nailiah nudged his mane a little as if grooming him. "Let's just enjoy our time." The mare smiled a little standing close beside him."Things seem so perfect...it's so strange..."

Chara smiled and gave a big sigh. "I'm sure where ever you are things are perfect!" he nuzzled closer and began to softly groom the mare's snow white coat. He let out a gutteral nicker as his body pressed softly against hers.
