When they came to a stop, Tony looked a little confused. He looked up at the gate, and the building beyond, recognizing the area at last. A frown passed over his face, then a hurried effort to cover that expression and pretend he hadn't jumped to any conclusions in that moment.
He was trying, but it was hard not to look at her in a slightly different light.
"Ah, I... I see. Well, if you need anything, please feel free to contact me any time. I mean, not just for knight things," he peeled his eyes away from the building and smiled at Darryl, doing his best not to be awkward.
She probably had enough to deal with... he didn't need to make her feel bad about it, or remind her any more than he needed to, right?
"It was a pleasure meeting you, though the circumstances could have been better. Stay safe, miss Darryl."

Darryl noticed, of course, and she couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking at the moment.
Did he think she was rabble now ? Did he think lesser of her ? Most people usually did, and it was impossible to hide the look that came in her eyes then, that sadness. Her face remained impassible, lips in a straight line.
But those violet eyes spoke a different story.
"Stay safe, too." She said, with a small nod of the head, and she slid her way through the gate, carrying her broken skateboard with her as she headed back in the building.
Home.
