Jaquelyn looked up, wide-eyed as she realized Impulse had slid right into the man on her entrance back into the kitchen. Oddly enough, she hadn't noticed her sister's quick pace in movement and wording after the fact, because her ears and eyes automatically adjusted to the same speed her sister was moving.

Before he could react, the youngest girl was up and on her feet. Faster than that, she was talking…as if she were an auctioneer. He couldn’t understand a word that was coming out of her mouth. Well, he caught a word or two, but he couldn’t keep up with the rest.
Rather than stare dumbfounded at the girl, as most probably would, Reaper let out a small sigh and pulled himself onto his feet again. ”Calm down. Deep breaths.” he said calmly as he stood, brushing off the back of his pants. ”I can’t understand all but two words your saying.” He paused for a moment, giving her, well, all of them a moment to collect themselves. ”Would you like to try again?” he asked, his eyes resting thoughtfully on the youngest girl before flickering over towards her sister. ”Or…should we just start over again?”

The older sister's eyes widened by his response. Were they doing it again? Sometimes it was hard for them to tell if they were moving just a little 'too' fast for a normal person... and by his reaction, she guessed their cover was no more... oddly enough, he wasn't surprised.
"Well I, we..."
She stuttered and looked at her sister, taking a step away from the table. Jaquelyn looked back at the man and sighed.
"Okay........I'm Flashgirl."
The girl gestured to her little sister.
"This is Impulse.....I'm, um.... we're sorry."
She glanced at her sister again and looked away. Even though they hadn't lied about who they were, they still had been concealing most of their true selves... at the same time, why did he act like it was no shock to him? Did he know Mr. Wayne's secret too? That thought circled back around on her as she stared at the man.

Still blushing, Impulse backed up, taking deep breaths as he suggested. She stuck her hands behind her back and looked away, embarrased that she had freaked. At her sister's words, she backed up again, unsure about telling this guy anything. Then again, this guy wasn't showing much shock. It was very possible that he knew more than he was letting on; after all, that's what they did. Still shifting nervously, Victoria kept her mouth shut, more comfortable with her sister doing the talking.

Reaper looked at the girls silently for a moment, then let a small grin curl around the corner of his mouth. "I had a feeling it was something like that. In that case, why don't we speak a little more openly." he said calmly, picking up the chair that had been knocked over to sit back down. As he did so, the shadow under the table spun and swiveled in the air. Intended to be a simple gesture to show the children that he was hiding just as they were. " I'll assume you two know, given your alias and the suspicious looks you were given me earlier." he continued, looking at the youngest. "I know as well. I've never done business with Bruce. Though we are in a closely related kind of career. I am watching over the house...though it was a self appointed job. Your Alfred was taken to the hospital by Bruce, but neither have been seen for weeks. There has been a...serious problem. I came here to wait and see if anyone came back. So far, you two have been the only superpowers I've seen here. There was a commie robot that came here, but I sent him away. As far as I know, no one's visited that isn't supposed to."
Might as well just get most of it out and in the open now. Then see if they knew anything or anyone that could help. He'd try to avoid any personal questions as much as he could. Keep the focus on Batman and their friends.

After the man's demonstration, Jaquelyn took a small step closer to her sister. After that point, she stared at him while he spoke and processed the information he gave them as quickly as she could. That gave her plenty of time to think it all through, step by step.
The obvious first: He wasn't exactly a normal citizen. By what she could tell, he manipulated...shadow? Light? She wasn't too sure, but it was enough to tell them he was 'like them' in some respect.
Then to what he said. 'I assume you two know'. Batman. Since they all were 'superpowered', what else could he possibly be refering to? 'Closely related kind of career'- the vigilantism? Crime fighting? What other 'careers' could closely relate to that? Police work, detective work... scaring the crap out of people? She decided to ask about that at some point, at least if he didn't elaborate in the next few minutes.
What really caught her attention was this 'serious problem'. The man clearly picked his words carefully for that extremely vague explanation. That.... and the words 'commie robot'. Was that a joke? Jaquelyn doubted that... this was hardly the time to be messing around. He came to Mr. Wayne for help, and FG couldn't blame him for that decision. As far as she was concerned, it was a very good one. After all, the two sisters went there because if anything, it had to have been one of the safest places to stay. Ever.
"So... you need help....with what, exactly?"
Her curiosity was certainly peaked. If what he said was true, then maybe they could help him out.... depending on his answer.

Reaper was quiet for a moment, thinking of how he was going to explain it. "As far as I'm aware...Batman is still missing. Along with quite a few others from this universe and the other. I'm looking for heroes that could help us find the missing." he replied

The older sister looked down.
"We know.... we've been hiding in Keystone and Central all this time... everyone else is gone."
She stared back up at him, hastening her words.
"We came here because we know it's safer here than anywhere else."

Keystone and Central? He wasn’t familiar with those titles. Areas he’d yet to travel to perhaps? If these two had speed based powers, then traveling very great distances would be no problem at all. He’d have to check them out himself just to see what he could find. Reaper smiled a bit when the girl mentioned that this was the safest place anywhere. ”I don’t know about that…I know of two other places that are secured with magic. The houses themselves can ward off a fair amount, let alone the people who live in them.” he said, then paused a moment to think about what she had just said. ”So…you haven’t run into any other heroes? Can you think of anywhere else where there might be others? Or someplace that might have the tech or ability to help try and find the missing?” he asked.
Edel could, and supposedly was helping out with this whole thing. But…this wasn’t exactly a top priority. Not to her. If something happened to this planet, she could just leave. As though she were on nothing more than a vacation here. She’d be more interested in taking care of whoever was in her house, or had asked for help before hand.

Jaquelyn glanced to her sister before answering his first question.
"We haven't seen anyone. We were... also hoping to see some familiar faces when we came here."
She looked down to think for a moment.
"We heard of the 'bubble' around San Fransisco... and Metropolis could be a good place to check, but we if you're looking for 'tech', this place would have been my first suggestion."
She looked up again and tilted her head a bit. If he was asking for 'other' places with tech.... she almost didn't want to bring it up, because she still didn't know this man. If he knew about the satillite already, he wouldn't need to ask them.

”Metropolis…” he mumbled to himself. ”Haven’t checked up there in a while. I’ll have to make a trip over.” The last time he’d been there was….what was it, that run in with Supergirl and that monkey? Talking monkey rather. It was after he’d gotten his kryptonite blood form, and it was the first time he realized that the stuff practically took the girl out of commission. He was very close to getting a blood sample from her. Then that chimp kind of got in the way, and that other Blood boy lost his temper and started attacking. Ugh. Then they left, then he went over to the boy, then Strange showed up…couldn’t quite remember what he did after that. Couldn’t have been anything interesting.
”No.” he continued. ”The ones that are missing were taken by something really powerful. We don’t think they’re on Earth at all. We’d need something that can check space, other dimensions, that kind of stuff. Maybe even something magic based. I’ve…tried to work the computers downstairs.” he said, then gave an awkward gesture. ”It didn’t go very well. Most I could do was get the security systems up and that kind of stuff. I don’t know any codes or even how to begin seeing if that thing has any programs that would be helpful.”

The older girl stared at him. Not on earth at all....
"I don't know how those computers work... but we've read up a lot on those kinds of things."
Jaquelyn turned to her sister with a hopeful look. She knew the computers in that cave were very complex... FG paused, letting the 'multiple dimensions' soak in. Of course they existed, their worlds had almost collided with others some time before... but all the people the sisters were looking for, not even on Earth? How were they supposed to find anyone if that was the case?

"Well," Reaper began. "It's worth a try. Would you two mind taking a look?" They had probably been here much more than he had, so they might know something to help get to at least the right programs. He had no technical knowledge of...this kind of stuff.

In the distance, an explosion could be heard with smoke rising near the cliff overlooking the sea.

Jaquelyn was about to respond before she was interrupted by a noise from outside the walls of the Wayne Manor. Instantly her head turned and her attention was to the kitchen window. This however didn't give her any information, so she proceeded through the house to find some large windows overlooking the sea. From there, smoke was rising over the nearby cliff.
