Malodore automatically shifted the ice back into place over the stitches it had already made, but it kept going - "I believe it would be best at this point to continue on until it is completed. Let me know if it becomes too much, per favore." It crouched low over Sammy's head, focusing on the line of neat, evenly-spaced stitches. They were small, made with the thinnest thread - the same thread it had used to stitch Christof's patchwork lepus, in fact.
Keeping up conversation as a distraction seemed a good idea, as well. "The end-of-year break is coming, is it not? What will you two be doing with your free time?" it inquired, pleasantly.

Shehk's expression drooped a bit.
"I've been threatened with bad things if I don't go visit my sire over the break." she said, her ears flattening back. "I actually got my ...proper...summons today.." she grumbled an addition under her breath; 'because he made that stupid letter burst into flames when I opened it'.
The pricolici was still on all fours, giving Luce a small head tilt and a wag of her tail, before she settled back in again, crossing her arms. "But we'll see how that goes. I'm not sure I want to spend 10 weeks with what I can only deduce is an a*****e of a vampire." At the word vampire, her tongue licked over her own fangs, testingly.
Vampire, vampire, vampire... hnnghhh... She wasn't really excited about that, to be perfectly honest.
"I think it might end up being a touch boring, if not frustrating. But if it'll shut him up for a while, I guess I'll see what I've been missing..." her head throbbed, though it wasn't from the pain in her scalp. "I don't even remember what he looks like. It was too long ago and the haze just....my memory is mush, man."

Sammy went to nod for Maladore to continue, thought twice about it and instead gave a thumbs up. "Patch me up doc, sooner it's done the more time I have to stare in a mirror and admire the new patch of hair." She tapped her chin, "Come to think of it I don't even know what I look like with a full head of hair I've been wearing hats covering that spot since the day I crawled back out the dirt..."
She sighed as Shehk continued to discuss her plans to leave for the break. Sammy didn't want Shehk to just up and leave, the guy sounded like a jackass and that wouldn't do much to make Shehk's already grumpy mood any better. She'd be better off here with friends in her opinion.
"Hey at least you two have proper families or Sires. I just remember waking up and after that a daze of training exercises and conditioning. At some point it was all broken up and I was given some seeds and told to keep out of trouble. Now I'm here." She gave another sigh before adding on.
"So for me I'll just be lingering around the school, what about you Doc? Honey moon with lady purple? Or you staying here as well?"

"I have no home that would care to receive me," Malodore said, simply - it didn't stand up or stop stitching, but its backblades did ripple dissonantly along its spine. "So I, too, will be staying here. The Academy is my home now, for all intents and purposes."
Almost done, almost... the plague doctor finished the last two stitches, then snipped off the remaining loose thread with a single bite. "There, now. You will need to return to me when all is healed, to have the stitches removed - so it is good you are not traveling," it said, a bit more cheerfully.
