She laughed once more. "I suppose it does look like I ate them and they're wiggling to get free.." She shook her head lightly, smiling at Lucian. " They're just moving around.. They tend to do that from time to time. I think they're just restless and want to come out."

Lucian shivered a little, "That sounds terrifying. How can you do it?" It amazed him, how she could be okay with carrying them. With everything that implied, and the way she had to feel with them inside her.
Karloff took the point, leading the way, but keeping an eye on Lucian behind him.

Reaching over she mock gnawed on Lucian's mane before stopping and giggling once more. "Soquili eating mare oh no! what ever shall we do?" She chuckled as she walked on. "It's not really terrifying.. at least not that I can say.. I mean sure.. I do have some fears.. like.. what if there are complications? and what if.. something's wrong and one of them is still born. But they're every wiggle reassures me of the life in them which helps to sooth such fears. She smiled hoping that that might help to sooth Lucian's mind if only a little.

Lucian jumped back as she gnawed at his hair. He could feel every sense in him telling him to snap back. He turned his head slightly a bit ashamed. He was breathing deeply trying to control his breathing, and the sense of urgency to attack. It was in his nature to fight, to react on impulse but Karloff had been teaching him against that. Teaching him against his blood.
He could feel the hot blood in his cheeks starting to cool. "That's good." His voice was a bit less controlled. "I mean, that you know they're okay." He finally turned his eyes back up to her, slightly ashamed at his reaction.
Karloff was watching him, intense and alert trying to assess the situation. For a few moments his muscles were tense waiting to step in. But Lucian had passed the test, he was diffusing the situation himself. He was okay, he was going to be okay. He tried to catch Lucian's eye to let him know he was proud, but he coudln't. Lucian wouldn't look his way---probably ashamed, but he had mastered his impulses.

Briallan nodded and smiled. "Will you two be visiting when the time comes?" She looked from one to the other as she walked. Stopping a moment, she had to catch her breath. "Forgive me.. I just got a hooved surprise in my lung... Would you like to feel them?"

Karloff smiled, "If Ailbhe comes, we'll both be there. Won't we Lucian?" He offered it as a question, though he knew that Lucian would go wherever they went. He wasn't fond of being alone with his thoughts. He said things were quieter when he was with them, something that Karloff understood quite well.
Lucian nodded in reply to Karloff. "We'll be there." He was still finding his face flushed when she asked the other question. "It won't bother you for me too?" He looked toward Karloff as if to what he thought.
Karloff nodded his head gently, "I know I'd love to feel them. It's always fascinated me.

She chuckled lightly still having not caught her breath. "I don't mind, just put your nose against my side and wait a bit." She smiled warmly. They were family as she knew it to be so it really didn't bother her to have them feel the foals kick. "I'm sure Rakshi would be happy to see his cousin there when the time comes. I'll be sure to sent Roselyn my bunny friend when it happens."

Karloff laughed, "We shall keep watch for her." Approaching her side, he gently nudged his nose--trying to show Lucian how to act since he was a bit flustered.
Lucian hesitated but curiosity won out. Gently, he nudge her side--barely touching and quite a bit nervous.

She chuckled lightly and stood still while they felt for the foals. Sure enough, it wasn't long before one of the foals bumped and pressed against the wall of her stomach once more with it's nose or hoof.

Karloff chuckled lightly, amazedly as Lucian jumped back. "It's okay, my son." He could see the boy's ears laid back, then flicking back and forth both alarmed and transfixed.
"That doesn't hurt?" The words broke from Lucian's mouth. He was amazing, and a bit disturbed.

She shook her head and chuckled lightly. " It only hurts when they kick a rib or knock the wind out of me just right. It's those times when I have to stop and take a breather. and running... heh Might as well not run much when you're this far along.. even trotting I get winded and need to stop." She offered the young male a reassuring smile. " But given all that, I'm happy to share my body for a time so that they might have life."

Lucian's eyes widened, "You can still run? You're so huge!"
"Lucian!" Karloff hissed. "I'm sorry, he just speaks his mind." He gave Lucian an abashed look.
"What? It was the truth! Doesn't seem healthy for them either."

She chuckled lightly not taking any offense to it. "It's ok.. It's an honest question and at least he's willing to ask." She smiled softly. "Yes.. I can run.. in a way.. but not for long.. "

Lucian was more mesmerized than he wanted to admit, "Well good. I don't think you should. Seems--dangerous unless you have to."
Karloff rolled his eyes, "When did you become the expert?" He laughed jovially.

She chuckled once more. "You'll understand some day.. But for now I'm content to take it at a lazy leisure pace. I'm afraid if Rakshi saw me running at this size he'd be beside himself frantically hoping that I don't pop. " She snickered lightly. "Oh... sorry.. hoof..." She smiled and gently reached over to nuzzle her own side. It seemed to sooth the little ones within because they seemed to stop wiggling and fussing about. "I'm beginning to wonder if we shouldn't start our trip to my mother sooner that we talked about.. They're more active lately."
