I cringe slightly when Lance touches me, but I follow behind him slowly.

Carolyn & Lance
You walk up the grizzled man. From a distance, he looked tall and imposing. Up close, he really looks tall and imposing. He scans over the two of you. When he looks Carolyn, he looks over her curiously, then shakes his head quickly, as if remembering something. He doesn't even have to see Lance for more then one second before doing a Pickard style facepalm. "Another animal person? Such a common pick nowadays, I'll bet this one probably thinks he's been discriminated all of his life because of it too..." he says, almost sounding like it was supposed to be a thought or to himself, but purposely loud enough for you hear perfectly.

The tree you're in gives you a perfect path to jump down behind them.

I jump out of the tree, and land behind the two new guys, and hiss menacingly at them.

I shriek when I hear the hiss behind me. I turn around quickly and seeing Steve's reptillian appearance, I quickly back away from him, assuming he is not friendly.

I laugh, and point at Carolyn, "You should have seen the look on your face!" I laugh some more, and take a few deep breaths to clam down. "Ah, but all kidding aside, Mr.Payne, are these the new guys I'm supposed to train?"

My look of fright turns into one of anger, annoyance, and just overall displeasure. I groan slightly and decide to ignore Steve, reopening my book and continuing reading.
